Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh on Saturday said that BJP supporters were behind the shameful incident of Red Fort which maligned India’s image; BJP leaders should be booked for sedition. He said that Deep Sidhu who vandalised the Red Fort works for the BJP, he is close to Prime Minister, Home Minister and a confidante of MP Sunny Deol. He said that tractor rally was completely peaceful in 7 out of 9 designated routes; in other routes, BJP supporters joined and instigated the violence. Shri Singh said that with the support of UP CM Yogi Adityanath BJP MLA from Loni threatened to kill the farmers at Tikri border; despite police complaints, no case is registered. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is favouring some of his favourite industrialists through these farm laws but allowing the farmers to die. He said that Shri Arvind Kejriwal and AAP will stand beside the farmers till our last breather; our fight against these anti-farmer laws will continue from the Parliament to the streets.

Shri Singh said, “From the past 70 days the farmers of our country are sitting at the borders of Delhi in the protest against the three antifarmer laws passed by the BJP ruled central government. During this period the BJP has continuously tried to malign this protest by claiming that these people are Khalistanis, Pakistanis, antinational etc. in the instruction of the BJP the police have assaulted them, beating them up, used water cannons and tear gas against them. The BJP has also sent NIA to probe them to break their protest. After using all these dirty tricks now the BJP is sending their own goons to assault these poor farmers. Before 26th January the farmers took permission from the police for the tractor parade and police decided nine routes. The rally was completely peaceful in seven of these nine routes but problems happened in the other routes.

He said, “Then we have witnessed what happened at the Red Ford and today with all responsibility I want to tell you that the Red Fort incident was done by the BJP people. BJP agents and BJP goons were behind the shameful incident which took place at the Red Fort. We also believe that BJP did this whole thing to malign the images of the farmers. People who hold a very good relationship with the Prime Minister and the Home Minister of our country were leading this march and instigated the violence. I want to present a picture where you can see that at one side of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi BJP MP Shree Sunny Deol is standing and on the other side Shri Deep Sidhu is present. This is a picture taken at the Prime Minister‘s residence which is a place where not any person can enter. I have been a member of Parliament for the past three years but I do not have any picture with the prime minister of India because to click a picture with him you need some security clearance and not any random person can enter his residence and click a photo with him.”

Shri Singh said, “ The Aam Aadmi Party believes that the disrespect of India which took place on 26th of January at the Red Fort was completely a planned event of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The members of the Bharatiya Janata party have maligned the image of our nation. This is why we believe that the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party should be booked under sedition law.”

He said, “From the past 70 days these farmers are protesting and around 125 farmers have already died during this protest. The BJP and the police have tortured them mercilessly. But these people never did any violence despite such tortures.”

Shri Singh said, “In Ghazipur border the same thing happened. In the Ghazipur border son of Shri Baba Tikait, Shri Rakesh Tikait is protesting. His father was a firebrand farmer leader. The BJP goons harassed Shri Tikait so much that he broke down in front of the media. That day BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh attacked the farmers at the Tikri border and Shri Tikait was trying to save them. This MLA threatened the farmers by saying that he will kill them. This is the real image of the BJP. The BJP is an anti-farmer party and that is why they want to kill the farmers, harass the farmers and malign the image of the farmers. Despite such a statement, not a single case was filed against this person. The farmer leaders have filed complaints against these BJP MLA but the police are completely silent.”

He said, “ Two BJP MLAs from Uttar Pradesh have threatened the farmers. This happened with the support of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath. Yesterday opposing this attack on the farmers a maha panchayat was held at Muzaffarnagar where lakhs of farmers joined. I want to tell the BJP, the prime minister of India and the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh that the more you harass and assault the farmers the more and more farmers will join this protest. Now, this protest is happening across western UP and every day more and more farmers are joining this protest against these antifarmer laws along with the atrocity by the BJP.”

Shri Singh said, “ Yesterday some people claimed that they are residents and attacked the farmers protesting at the Singhu border. They assaulted the farmers and beaten them up mercilessly. These so-called residents were nothing but BJP supporters and leaders. I will present many images in front of you where you can see these BJP supporters with various senior leaders of the party.”

He said, “More than 2500 Delhi police officials and Central police force were present at the venue. By the instruction of the BJP, these police officials allowed the BJP goons to enter the protest site and assault the farmers. The police are not allowing water tankers to reach the protest venue but they have allowed the BJP goons. In the pictures, you can see how the police were silent when the BJP people were assaulting the farmers.”

Shri Singh said, “ Today I want to make it very clear that till our last breath the Aam Aadmi Party will stand shoulder to shoulder with the farmers. Yesterday I went to Muzaffarnagar and joined the maha panchayat where I gave the message of Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal that the Aam Aadmi Party is with the farmers. Shri Tikait urged Shri Kejriwal to provide water to the farmers and we have made all the arrangements. Yesterday at the Parliament also the Aam Aadmi Party MPs raised the matter. In this budget session, the Aam Aadmi Party will continuously raise the matter inside the Parliament. We demand that these anti-farmer laws must immediately be rolled back. BJP is trying to benefit some industrialists by these farm laws. The Aam Aadmi Party will continue this protest from the Parliament to the streets and we will stand beside the farmers till our last breath.”
