In a revelation on Friday, senior AAP leader and Delhi Cabinet Minister Ms. Atishi asserted that the BJP orchestrated a conspiracy to entrap Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal. During a press conference, Atishi shared that Swati Maliwal was used as a pawn in the plot, which aimed to falsely implicate the CM. She presented video evidence showing Maliwal forcibly entering the CM’s residence without an appointment, threatening police personnel, and falsely claiming she was assaulted. Ms. Atishi’s exposé sheds light on the political maneuvering aimed at destabilizing the Delhi government.
The Senior AAP leader and Cabinet Minister in Delhi Government, Ms. Atishi, said that ever since Shri Arvind Kejriwal got bail and came out of Tihar Jail in the false case filed by the BJP, the BJP has been furious. Under this fury, the BJP hatched a conspiracy and under that conspiracy, Swati Maliwal was sent to the house of Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal early in the morning on 13 May. The intention of this conspiracy was to level false allegations against Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Swati Maliwal was the face of this conspiracy. Swati Maliwal was the pawn of this conspiracy.
The Senior AAP Leader continued, stating, “Swati Maliwal reached the Chief Minister’s residence on 13 May unannounced, without an appointment. Her intention was to accuse the Chief Minister but the Chief Minister was not available at that time, so he was saved. Then Swati Maliwal made allegations against Bibhav Kumar. But today a video of the drawing room of the Chief Minister’s residence has surfaced and that video has exposed Swati Maliwal’s lies in front of the entire country.
Pointed towards a copy of complaint filed by Swati Maliwal, Ms. Atishi further added that this is the complaint filed by Swati Maliwal to Delhi Police and this is the fact sheet. In the complaint, Swati Maliwal says that she was brutally beaten up, she was hit, was punched and kicked, her head was injured, she was writhing in pain after the beating, she was unable to speak, she was repeatedly telling the police that she was hit, she was beaten up. She has written in her complaint that her head hit the table and her head got cracked. She has written that her clothes were torn, the buttons of her shirt were torn. Swati Maliwal has said all this in her allegations.
The Delhi Cabinet Minister mentioned that the video that has come out today shows the truth, which is exactly opposite what she’s claimed. Swati Maliwal ji is sitting very comfortably in the drawing room, she is scaring and threatening the police in a loud voice. She is also threatening Bibhav Kumar ji, whom she has accused, in a loud voice, she is using foul words for him. Her clothes are not torn, there is no injury on her head. The only thing that is visible is that she is threatening the police, she is threatening the police, she is threatening Bibhav Kumar ji, she is threatening in a loud voice, nowhere does she even mention that someone has touched her or someone has attacked her. “Today’s video has clearly put it in front of the country that all these allegations made by Swati Maliwal ji are completely baseless, absolutely false,” she affirmed.
Ms. Atishi shared that Bibhav Kumar has today filed his complaint against Swati Maliwal with Delhi Police. In that complaint, he has very clearly mentioned the sequence of events that happened on 13 May.
“On the morning of 13 May, Swati Maliwal reached CM residence without any appointment. When she was questioned by the security staff at the security gate, her identity was asked, why she had come, she told that she had an appointment with the Chief Minister. When the security guards cross checked with the office, they found out that there was no appointment and Swati Maliwal ji was stopped at the gate. Therefore, Swati Maliwal was stopped at the gate but even there she threatened the policemen and said, ‘I am a Rajya Sabha MP, if you stop me, I have the power to take away your job’. And she quarreled with the policemen and entered the CM residence premises,” Ms. Atishi stated.
She further shared that the security again told her that she cannot enter the CM residence without an appointment. She was taken to the waiting room outside the CM residence and was told that she did not have an appointment. After sitting in the waiting room for some time, she forcefully entered the main building of the CM residence where the CM and his family live and sat in the drawing room there. There she said, ‘CM ko bulao, Abhi Bulao, Mujhe abhi milna hai…’ (Call the CM, call him right now, I want to meet him right now)
Ms. Atishi said, “Swati Maliwal is a Rajya Sabha MP, does she not know how to get an appointment from the Chief Minister? Does she not know that the Chief Minister has a fixed schedule and on many occasions he is not available. In such a situation, without an appointment, she forcefully barged into the Chief Minister’s residence and started forcing to meet the CM there.”
She further stated, “Then the employees of the CM residence called Bibhav Kumar. He came after 10-15 minutes and told Swati Maliwal that the CM is not available right now and she cannot meet him. After this, Swati Maliwal started talking to Bibhav Kumar in a loud voice and tried to leave the drawing room and go to the inner parts of the house but Bibhav Kumar stood in front of her and did not let Swati Maliwal go inside. Swati Maliwal tried to push him but Bibhav stood and did not let Swati Maliwal go inside. Then Bibhav Kumar came out and called the security staff of the CM residence inside and asked them to escort Swati Maliwal out.”
“One thing is proved from this entire incident that this was a conspiracy thought up by BJP in which the Chief Minister was to be trapped and Swati Maliwal was made the face of it. That is why early in the morning, she was being forcibly entered into the Chief Minister’s residence and forced to meet the Chief Minister,” She affirmed.
“This conspiracy is also proved by the fact that Swati Maliwal went to the police station after the CM’s residence, the police asked her to get the MLC (Medico Legal Case) done but Swati Maliwal refused. Then after 3 days, BJP again brought Swati Maliwal in front with a new lie. But the video that has come out today, the way Swati Maliwal is threatening the police, Bibhav Kumar; the way it is known by watching the video that she is sitting comfortably on the sofa, neither is she moaning in pain, neither her clothes are torn, nor is there any injury on her head. This entire video exposes the conspiracy of BJP by bringing out the lie of Swati Maliwal,” Ms. Atishi concluded.
