Food and Civil Supplies Minister & MLA Ballimaran Shri Imran Hussain today attended the annual day celebration in Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Ram Nagar in Ballimaran assembly constituency. The function was also attended by DD (Zone), DD Central (Education,) Principal and school staff, School Committee members, invitees and distinguished guests.
The annual day celebration at GGSSS, Ram Nagar began by lighting ceremonial lamp and rendition of Saraswati Vandana. The students performed Himachali traditional dance and Lavni enthralling the audience. The Minister appreciated the artwork and decoration of the school with handmade material done by the students.
The main attraction of the annual event was the excellent drama performed by the group of students with special needs on the theme of National Integration. The line of the performance was Unity in Diversity during the freedom movement in India. All the guests present at the event were mesmerized by the performance. The principal of the school informed that this group of students with special needs has also performed at the national level. F&S Minister, Imran Hussain appreciated the efforts made by them and said that students with special needs from Delhi government schools, participating in various competitions, are a source of inspiration for everyone.
Shri Imran Hussain said, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, his team, including former Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Shri Manish Sisodia has worked with full dedication to provide quality education to the students of Delhi. I congratulate the school management and students on the annual festival of the school.”
He said that quality education is the key for the development in any field as an educated person builds a better society and a developed nation. “The Ballimaran area is constantly moving forward in the field of quality education and like other Government schools in Delh, it is providing better education at par with private schools,” he said, adding that new building with model classrooms will soon come up in the area.
Addressing the students on the occasion, Shri Imran Hussain said “There is no dearth of talent among the children studying in our Government schools. As a result of the hard work of schoolteachers and students’ determination towards quality education, India will one day become No.1 country in the world.”
The annual day function also witnessed the distribution of Annual Prizes and Awards in the school. The academic toppers were awarded medals and certificates of appreciation. The Food and Supplies Minister also felicitated schoolteachers for their active participation in the betterment of the education model in Delhi. He also felicitated students who participated and performed in para games at Zonal level.
