Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP, Shri Sanjay Singh, was released on bail late Wednesday night. He went straight from jail to meet the wife of Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Smt. Sunita Kejriwal. Thereafter, he went to the Aam Aadmi Party headquarters, where he met with senior party leaders and thousands of supporters.
Supporters cheered him with slogans of “Sher Aaya, Sher Aaya” (The Lion has arrived) as they welcomed him. Seeing the enthusiastic supporters, Sanjay Singh couldn’t resist addressing them himself. He praised the patience and support of the supporters, saying that after being released from jail, he has immersed himself in his work. He reiterated, “It’s not the time for celebration, it’s time for struggle. Get ready for the battle, we will fight fiercely and win. Our family’s leader, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, is in jail. As long as he is in jail, we will work twice as hard and give the answer to jail through votes.
After being released from Tihar Jail, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh directly came to meet the wife of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Smt. Sunita Kejriwal. AAP Rajya Sabha MP received Smt. Sunita Kejriwal’s blessings by touching her feet. Sanjay Singh’s wife, Anita Singh, also arrived at the CM’s residence with him. Smt. Sunita Kejriwal welcomed Sanjay Singh with a hug.
Addressing the AAP workers and crowd, amidst thunderous uproar, Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh raised the slogans ‘Arvind Kejriwal, Zindabad’, ‘Aam Aadmi Party, Zindabad’. “I want to congratulate and salute each AAP worker who’s battling against the BJP’s dictatorship from my bottom of heart. I want to echo in the ears of the country’s dictator that the AAP was born out of the movement’s womb and we’ll not be afraid of his threats. You have put Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Manish Sisodia, Shri Satyender Jain in jail, what were their faults? Their fault is that they want to provide quality education, healthcare, and pilgrimage to elderly, free water, and monthly financial aid to women, free travel in buses for women, to 2 crores of Delhiites,” he added.
“I have spent 6 months in jail, and PM Modi should understand that each AAP MLA, Minister, councilor, worker stands firmly with Shri Arvind Kejriwal. The BJP asks why doesn’t Kejriwal resign? Let me tell you, they (BJP) are not asking for Kejriwal’s resignation, but seeking to stop your free water, 24×7 electricity, Mohalla Clinics, and bus travel,” the AAP Rajya Sabha MP added.
He further said that tomorrow they’ll (BJP) ask Punjab’s CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann to resign. They (BJP) have started an investigation against Kerala CM P. Vijayan’s daughter, Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee, and tomorrow they ask these chief ministers to resign. As per law of this country whether it’s a commoner or a chief minister they’re all in the eyes of the law. If tomorrow the Bengal Police registers a case against PM Modi then would he participate in the investigation with the Bengal Police, would the BJP answer this?
Shri Sanjay Singh said that BJP people say, “How can we write letters?” I spent six months in jail. It is written in the jail manual that any person can write unlimited letters while in jail. Media people should read the jail manual. If a government letter has to be written, permission must be obtained from the court. If more government letters need to be written, the jail superintendent stamps it and certifies it. BJP people are sending us to jail to teach us all the laws. Now it’s time to answer them.
“PM Modi says he won’t spare the corrupt. From east to west, from north to south, whoever is corrupt, he will include them all in the BJP. You have as strong a stick as you do, as strong are the shoulders and chests of each worker of our Aam Aadmi Party. I also feel bad for BJP workers. BJP workers in Assam were roaming the streets for six months telling people about Himanta Biswa Sharma’s scandals, and on the other hand, Prime Minister Modi hugged him and made him the CM of Assam. These people accused Ajit Pawar of a ₹70,000 crore scam, PM Modi hugged him too. Similarly, those involved in scams worth ₹100 crores like Hasan Mushrif, Chhagan Bhujbal involved in the Maharashtra Assembly scam, Ashok Chavan involved in the Adarsh scam, were all included in the BJP and given big positions,” Shri Sanjay Singh mentioned.
He affirmed, “Today, the bigger the corrupt, the bigger the BJP office-bearer. BJP has no right to speak on corruption. Shri Arvind Kejriwal decided to serve by leaving the IRS job. BJP is the only party of Hindustan which, while doing business to protect Mother India, has been caught red-handed in bribery. One day, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Manish Sisodia, and Shri Satyendar Jain will come out of jail with complete honesty. Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Aam Aadmi Party leaders said that they did not do the alleged liquor scam. BJP said liquor scam because BJP did the liquor scam. BJP is immersed in the liquor scam from head to toe. BJP has openly accepted a bribe of ₹55 crores from liquor businessman Sarath Reddy.”
The Rajya Sabha MP said the BJP accuses Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia of causing the liquor scam. They took Rs 55 crore from Sarath Reddy, the kingpin of the alleged liquor scam.
He said the Aam Aadmi Party is our family and that is why after my release from jail, I went straightaway to meet Smt Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Shri Arvind Kejriwal even before meeting at my home. I will meet the families of Manish Sisodia as well as Satyendar Jain.
Shri Sanjay Singh said the head of our family, Shri Arvind is in jail, we will work 10 times harder and give a reply of incarceration of our leaders by our votes.
The BJP is silent on Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, whose son mowed down four farmers. The Prime Minister maintained silence when it came to giving justice to our sportswoman.
Shri Sanjay Singh said Manipur is burning for a year. Hundreds of women were tortured in Manipur and the wife of a defense personnel was paraded naked in the state. The BJP does not seek resignation of the CM who burnt Manipur.
Shri Sanjay Singh said the BJP does not seek their resignation of its leaders who were found wanting, they are asking for Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation.
“We consider the Aam Aadmi Party as our family. So, when I was released from jail, I went straight to Arvind Kejriwal’s house. I will also go to Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain’s houses. If any crisis comes to our family, each worker will stand shoulder to shoulder with their leader. God will take revenge for these tears. The people of Delhi will take revenge for these tears. Beware of these dictators, they are not good for anyone. These tears can give, Kejriwal can give you a smile on your face. He can provide you with free education, healthcare, electricity, water, and bus travel. Today, the leader of our family, Arvind Kejriwal, is in jail. As long as he is in jail, we will work twice as hard and give the answer to jail through votes. Voting is the greatest power. After being released from jail, I immersed myself in my work. It’s not the time for celebration, it’s time for struggle. Get ready for the battle, we will fight fiercely and win,” Shri Sanjay Singh concluded.
