Banking on AAP’s strong wave of change in Gujarat, AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday predicted the formation of the party’s government in the state elections. The AAP Convenor gave his commitment upon the same in writing saying AAP will form a full majority government. This comes after Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s series of data-backed analysis and predictions made during the Punjab and Delhi elections which held true despite all odds. On the occasion, Shri Arvind Kejriwal stated, “If you talk to a BJP voter they get convinced to vote for AAP in just 5 minutes, this is why the BJP is completely rattled. Strongly condemn BJP’s attacks on the common man of Gujarat: Arvind Kejriwal
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “The workers of the BJP have resorted to attacking the people of Gujarat. We strongly condemn such acts and we would like to tell the BJP and their workers that their fight in the election is against us, not the people of Gujarat. They are fighting us in the elections and we are ready to face whatever attacks come from the BJP, but we request them to not become so power hungry that they attack the people of the state. Why is the BJP so worried and harried? For the first time in 27 years, they seem to be so worried about the prospect of losing, why is that so? I’ll provide you with the answer to this question. You can go outside on the streets of Gujarat and ask any random person above the age of 18 years, who will you vote for in this election? Just randomly go outside and ask any person this question. There are two answers that you are likely to hear. They will either say that they will vote for AAP or they will say that they will vote for BJP. Anyone who tells you that they will vote for the BJP, just have a candid discussion with them for five minutes, just five minutes. After that, they will slowly reveal to you that their entire neighbourhood is voting for AAP this time around, and then the person will slowly reveal that he or she also wants to vote for AAP, but is afraid to admit it in public. Any person on the street that tells you that they want to vote for the BJP, just speak to them for five minutes and slowly you will realise that they actually want to vote for AAP but are afraid to admit it in public. This is the reason that the leaders and the workers of the BJP are so worried this time around.”
Have never seen public be so afraid of being punished by a government: Arvind Kejriwal
He said, “So, there are three things that can be seen very clearly about this election. This is the first time that you will come across citizens who are afraid to tell you who they are going to vote for? We have fought elections in several states: in Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and so on, but the people were never this afraid before to tell the public who they are going to vote for. They are afraid that if they do not say that they are voting for the BJP in public, then they might be beaten up. When they are asked this question about who they are going to vote for, they are scared if you are a BJP member who is asking them, and will attack them if they do not take the name of the BJP. The second thing that can be seen in this election is that the Congress voter has absolutely disappeared. Even if you try your best to find a Congress voter, you are unlikely to find one. There is that saying “dhoondte reh jaoge”, this applies perfectly for a Congress voter at the moment.”
BJP voters shifting camps to AAP’s side: Arvind Kejriwal
He added, “The third thing is that the BJP voters of the past are strongly shifting to the AAP camp and will be decisively voting for AAP this time around. The entire state of Gujarat at the moment is asking for ‘parivartan’. People have often said in the past that my prediction prior to most elections are spot on. During the 2014 election in Delhi, a journalist had asked me ‘how many votes would the Congress receive’ and I had written it on a paper for him and said that they would get “zero”. No one at the time believed it, but when the results came out, I was absolutely correct. Even for the elections in Punjab earlier this year, I had made several predictions: I had said that Navjot Singh Sidhu would lose his election; I had also said that the former Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi would lose from both the seats where he was fighting the polls; I had also said that the entire Badal family would go on to lose from wherever its members were fighting the polls, and all of this turned out to be true.”
Giving in writing, AAP will form Govt in Gujarat: Arvind Kejriwal
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “Today, I am going to make another prediction for the upcoming Gujarat elections. Usually journalists of different news channels keep asking me whether AAP will form the government in Punjab. Today, through this press conference, I will give this to you in writing. Here it is, “AAP will form the government in Gujarat”. This is a prediction I am making for Gujarat and I am certain that this prediction, like the ones earlier, will also come true. Everyone in Gujarat is tired of the 27-year-long rule of Gujarat and this time around the people will get relief from this government.”
Will bring back Old Pension Scheme like we did in Punjab: Arvind Kejriwal
He said, “I would also like to take this opportunity to speak to the government staff of Gujarat. Around 1-2 months ago, dramatic scenes were seen in Gandhinagar when thousands of government staff members came out onto the streets and they surrounded the Gujarat Vidhan Sabha. Nothing like this was seen earlier in the state. They had just one demand: To bring back the Old Pension Scheme in the state. Today I would like to promise all these employees that when the AAP forms the government over here on December 8th, we will begin the process to bring back OPS. By 31st January next year, we will bring out the notification regarding this. Also, I want to tell the people that I do not believe in fake promises. We had promised the same to the people in Punjab, and this is the notification which states that OPS has been brought back in the state by the AAP government of Punjab.”
Will solve all problems of government employees: Arvind Kejriwal
He added, “Besides this, there are several government staff across different positions, these are people in the police forces, transport services, gram rakshaks, home guards, Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, teachers, talhati, safai karamcharis. Some of these people are permanent while many others are working with the state government on contract. They have several demands of their own, some of them are asking for certain grade pays, some are asking to be made permanent after several years of service, some of them are not happy with their salaries, some of them have problems with their transfer postings. Today I would like to assure all these people that besides bringing in the Old Pension Scheme, which has been a demand of theirs, we will look into all of their demands. I strongly believe that all these people provide a great service to the state, and therefore their problems need to be looked into. We also cannot provide the ‘Guarantees’ that we have made to the people without the assistance of these people.”

Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal concluded, “It is said that the government workers and staff of a state have a very crucial role in deciding which government comes to power in a state. These workers interact with several people during their day and have very large social networks. I would urge all of these workers to give an opportunity to AAP this time, and to tell their colleagues and friends to also vote for AAP. आम आदमी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक एवं दिल्ली के सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने आज गुजरात के सूरत में एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रेस वार्ता को संबोधित किया। इस दौरान ‘आप’ गुजरात के प्रदेश संयोजक गोपाल इटालिया भी मौजूद रहे। ‘‘आप’’ के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि भाजपा के लोग जगह-जगह गुजरात के लोगों पर हमले कर रहे हैं। इसकी हम कड़ी निंदा करते हैं और उनसे कहते हैं कि आपका झगड़ा और आपकी समस्या हमसे है। हमारे साथ जो मर्जी कर लीजिए, हमें कोई दिक्कत नहीं है, लेकिन गुजरात की जनता के उपर हमले करने बंद कीजिए। भाजपा 27 साल के अंदर पहली बार इतनी बुरी तरह से बौखलाई हुई है। भाजपा की इस बौखलाहट का जवाब देते हुए ‘‘आप’’ के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि अगर आप सड़क पर निकल कर किसी से भी पूछिए कि आप किसको वोट देंगे तो, वो या तो आम आदमी पार्टी कहेगा या फिर भाजपा कहेगा। जो लोग भारतीय जनता पार्टी को वोट देने की बात करते हैं, उनके साथ 5 मिनट समान्य बातचीत कीजिए। पांच मिनट की बातचीत के बाद वो व्यक्ति कहता है कि मेरा पूरा मोहल्ला झाड़ू को वोट दे रहा है। मैं भी झाड़ू को वोट दे रहा हूं, लेकिन आम आदमी पार्टी को वोट दे रहा हूं, यह कहने से डर लगता है। सड़क पर भाजपा को वोट देने वाले जितने लोग मिलें, उनसे बात कीजिए, तो ऐसा लगता है कि हर आदमी भाजपा को छोड़कर आम आदमी पार्टी को वोट दे रहा है। यही कारण है कि भाजपा बुरी तरह से बौखलाई हुई है।
गुजरात में ‘‘आप’’ की सरकार बन रही है, 27 साल के कुशासन के बाद गुजरात की जनता को राहत मिलेगी- अरविंद केजरीवाल
‘‘आप’’ के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि भाजपा की बौखलाहट से तीन चीजें साफ-साफ निकल कर आ रही हैं। पहली, गुजरात के लोग डरे हुए हैं। हम दिल्ली और पंजाब समेत कई राज्यों में चुनाव लड़े, लेकिन पहली बार गुजरात एक ऐसा राज्य देखने को मिल रहा है, जहां एक आम आदमी यह बताते हुए डरता है कि मैं किसको वोट दे रहा हूं। एक आम आदमी को डर लगता है कि अगर मैं भाजपा नहीं बोला, तो ये लोग मुझे मारेंगे। पूछने वाले कहीं भाजपा वाले तो नहीं हैं। इसलिए आम आदमी बुरी तरह से डरा हुआ है। दूसरा, कांग्रेस का कहीं वोट ढूंढने से नहीं मिल रहा है। तीसरा, भाजपा का वोटर बहुत बड़ी तादात में आम आदमी पार्टी को वोट देने जा रहा है। पूरा गुजरात इस समय बदलाव मांग रहा है। कई लोग कहते हैं कि राजनीति के अंदर मेरी भविष्यवाणी सही निकलती है। 2014 में जब दिल्ली में चुनाव हुआ था, तो मैंने एक पत्रकार को लिखकर दिया था कि कांग्रेस की इस बार जीरो सीट आएंगी। मेरी बात पर किसी ने यकीन नहीं किया था, लेकिन उस चुनाव में कांग्रेस की जीरो सीट आई थी। पंजाब के चुनाव में भी मैंने कई सारी भविष्यवाणी की थी। मैने कहा था कि नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू हारेंगे, चन्नी साहब अपनी दोनों सीटों से हारेंगे, बादल साहब का पूरा परिवार हारेगा। आज मैं लिखकर यह भविष्यवाणी कर रहा हूं कि गुजरात में आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार बन रही है। यह भविष्यवाणी सही होगी। 27 साल के कुशासन के बाद अब गुजरात की जनता को इन लोगों से राहत मिलेगी।

‘‘आप’’ के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि गुजरात के सभी सरकारी कर्मचारियों को आश्वासन देना चाहता हूं। अभी गांधीनगर के अंदर एक गजब का नजारा देखा गया था, जब गुजरात सरकार के हजारों सरकारी कर्मचारी सड़कों के उपर उतर आए और उन्होंने पूरा सचिवालय घेर लिया। ऐसा नजारा गुजरात में पहले कभी नहीं देखा गया था। सरकारी कर्मचारियों की एक ही मांग थी कि ओल्ड पेंशन स्कीम लागू की जाए। मैं आज गुजरात के सभी सरकारी कर्मचारियों से कहना चाहता हूं कि हमारी सरकार बनने के बाद 31 जनवरी तक ओल्ड पेंशन स्कीम लागू करने का नोटिफिकेशन जारी कर दिया जाएगा। ‘‘आप’’ के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने पंजाब में लागू की गई ओल्ड पेंशन स्कीम के नोटिफिकेशन को दिखाते हुए कहा कि यह मैं हवा में बात नहीं कर रहा हूं। हमारी सरकार बनते ही पंजाब के अंदर ओल्ड पेंशन स्कीम दोबारा लागू कर दी गई है। पंजाब की तरह ही गुजरात में सरकार बनने के बाद 31 जनवरी तक ओल्ड पेंशन स्कीम लागू करने का नोटिफिकेशन जारी कर दिया जाएगा। इसके अलावा बहुत सारे संविदा कर्मचारी हैं। जिसमें पुलिस कर्मचारी, स्टेट ट्रांसपोर्ट के ड्राइवर-कंडक्टर, बीसी ग्राम रक्षक, होमगार्ड, आंगबाड़ी व आशा वर्कर, शिक्षक स्वास्थ्य कर्मी, तलाटी और सफाई कर्मचारी हैं, इनके कई सारे मुद्दे हैं। इनमें से बहुत सारे हैं, जिनको ग्रेड-पे की मांग है। बहुत सारे कच्चे कर्मचारी हैं, उनको पक्का करने की जरूरत है। वो पक्का करने की मांग कर रहे हैं। बहुत सारे कर्मचारियों की तनख्वाह बहुत कम है, उनकी तनख्वाह बढ़ाने की जरूरत है। बहुतों को ट्रांसफर-पोस्टिंग की जरूरत है। इन सबको मैं आश्वासन देना चाहता हूं कि हम ओल्ड पेंशन स्कीम लागू करने के साथ हर तबके के सभी मुद्दों का समाधान करेंगे। क्योंकि हम तब तक अपनी कोई गारंटी पूरी नहीं कर पाएंगे, जब तक हमारे कर्मचारी दुखी रहेंगे। सभी कर्मचारियों की सारी समस्याओं का समाधान करेंगे।
जिस राज्य में सरकारी कर्मचारी जिस पार्टी की तरफ हों, चुनाव वही पार्टी जीतती है- अरविंद केजरीवाल
‘‘आप’’ के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने सभी कर्मचारियों से हाथ जोड़कर विनती करते हुए कहा कि कहा जाता है कि जिस राज्य में सरकारी कर्मचारी जिस पार्टी की तरफ हों, चुनाव वही पार्टी जीतती है। सरकारी कर्मचारी कई तरह से लोगों को प्रभावित करते हैं। वो दस लोगों को अपनी बात बताते हैं और समाज उनकी बात सुनता है। मैं गुजरात सरकार के सभी सरकारी कर्मचारियों (कच्चे व पक्के दोनों) से अपील करना चाहता हूं कि पोस्टल बैलेट में एक-एक वोट आम आदमी पार्टी को पड़ना चाहिए। इसके अलावा, सभी लोग अपने तरीके से खूब जकर आम आदमी पार्टी का प्रचार कीजिए और लोगों से कहिए कि आम आदमी पार्टी को वोट दें। आप हमारी सरकार बनवाइए और हम आपको आश्वस्त करते हैं कि आपके सारे मुद्दों का समाधान हम करेंगे।
