In a serious error on Sunday, the State Election Commission officials in Karol Bagh Constituency Ward 82 forgot the list of 668 voters from S.P.Mukherjee Market, Faiz Road at Booth No. 118- Polling station 2- Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya Plot No.6 Jhandewalan for MCD 2022 election held. Due to this mess up, a total of 668 voters could not cast their rightful vote in the MCD 2022 election. AAP MLA Shri Vishesh Ravi has demanded re-election in this booth and strict action against the officials for this mess up.
Shri Vishesh Ravi said, “As per the electoral roll & Nagar Nigam Chunav App, a total of 668 voters from SP Mukerjee market, Fiaz Road were supposed to cast their vote in booth no. 118, Ward-82, AC-23 at the polling station – Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya Plot No.6 Jhandewalan. But from the morning the voters were made to run from pillar to post as this booth didn’t have the list of voters. The RO office had given an electoral roll for each polling booth for the MCD election 2022. When the voters of SP Mukherjee market, Faiz Road went to booth no. 118, at the Polling station 2- Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya Plot No.6 Jhandewalan they were not allowed to vote.”
He added, “We started getting numerous complaints from the people of Booth No.118, Ward 82 stating that they reached the polling station as per the Electoral roll/Nagar Nigam Chunav app but they are not allowed to vote. We reached out to the presiding officer in the polling booth and he claimed that the said voters are not on his list. He directed us to talk to the AERO and RO. Both these officials were lost and did not give a proper response.”
He continued, “We contacted DM Central and they did not receive the calls. After multiple calls and writing an email to the State Election Commissioner we finally received a call from the DM Central. Though they promised to resolve the problem no resolution was reached. At last, at 4.00 pm the RO communicates that due to confusion in his office the people could not cast their votes. He informed us that his office missed a file containing the list of 668 voters that has led to this confusion. By then it was too late for the people to come and vote after 4.00 pm and also many BJP volunteers and party workers started creating problems/nuisance. The MP of the BJP Ms.Meenakshi Lekhi reached the polling booth at 4.00 pm with police officials and ensured no further voting was cast by the voters. The State Election Commission officials succumbed to the pressure of Ms.Meenakshi Lekhi and failed in their duty to ensure voting by rightful citizens.”
He concluded, “As a citizen, these 668 voters have the right to vote. Due to the carelessness and the negligence of the State Election Commission officials so many voters including women and senior citizens could not cast their votes. This is a serious issue and an inquiry must be conducted and strict action should be taken against the officials responsible for this mess up. I also demand reelection in this booth so that people can cast their votes.”

एमसीडी चुनाव में राज्य चुनाव आयोग के अधिकारियों की लापरवाही के कारण वार्ड-82 के 668 मतदाता वोट नहीं डाल सके। वार्ड-82 के बूथ संख्या 118 के मतदाताओं की सूची चुनाव अधिकारी भूल गए। इसके चलते मतदाता अपने मताधिकार का इस्तेमाल करने से वंचित रहे। ‘आप’ विधायक विशेष रवि ने वार्ड 82 बूथ संख्या 118 में दोबारा चुनाव कराने की मांग की और अधिकारियों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की मांग की
मतदाता सूची और नगर निगम चुनाव ऐप के अनुसार वार्ड 82 के सर्वोदय बाल विद्यालय मतदान केंद्र 118 पर कुल 668 मतदाताओं को बूथ संख्या में अपना वोट डालना था। लेकिन इस बूथ पर मतदाताओं की सूची नहीं होने के कारण सुबह से ही मतदाताओं को इधर-उधर भटकना पड़ा। मतदान बूथ 118 के मतदान केंद्र 2 पर उन्हें वोट नहीं डालने दिया गया।
आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायक विशेष रवि ने कहा कि वार्ड 82 के बूथ नंबर 118 के लोगों से कई शिकायतें मिलनी शुरू हुईं कि वे मतदाता सूची / नगर निगम चुनाव ऐप के अनुसार मतदान केंद्र पर पहुंचे। लेकिन उन्हें वोट देने की अनुमति नहीं है। हम मतदान केंद्र में पीठासीन अधिकारी के पास पहुंचे और उन्होंने दावा किया कि उक्त मतदाता उनकी सूची में नहीं हैं। उन्होंने हमें एयरो और आरओ से बात करने का निर्देश दिया।
उन्होंने कहा कि इसके बाद मतदाताओं ने डीएम सेंट्रल से संपर्क किया और उन्होंने कॉल रिसीव नहीं की। कई कॉल और राज्य चुनाव आयुक्त को एक ईमेल लिखने के बाद आखिरकार हमें डीएम सेंट्रल से एक कॉल आया। समस्या के समाधान का आश्वासन देने के बाद भी समाधान नहीं हुआ। अंत में शाम 4. बजे आरओ ने सूचित किया कि उनके कार्यालय में भ्रम की स्थिति के कारण लोग वोट नहीं डाल सके। उन्होंने बताया कि उनके कार्यालय से 668 मतदाताओं की सूची वाली एक फाइल छूट गई है। जिसके कारण यह भ्रम पैदा हुआ है। तब तक शाम 4 बजे के बाद लोगों के आने और मतदान करने में बहुत देर हो चुकी थी। भाजपा के कार्यकर्ताओं ने उपद्रव पैदा करना शुरू कर दिया था। भाजपा सांसद मीनाक्षी लेखी शाम 4 बजे पुलिस अधिकारियों के साथ मतदान केंद्र पहुंची और यह सुनिश्चित किया कि मतदाताओं द्वारा आगे कोई मतदान न किया जाए। राज्य चुनाव आयोग के अधिकारी सांसद मीनाक्षी के दबाव में आ गए टट। आयोग के अधिकारी नागरिकों द्वारा मतदान सुनिश्चित करने के अपने कर्तव्य में विफल रहे।
विधायक विशेष रवि ने कहा कि एक नागरिक के तौर पर इन 668 मतदाताओं को वोट देने का अधिकार है। राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग के अधिकारियों की लापरवाही और लापरवाही के कारण महिलाओं और वरिष्ठ नागरिकों सहित अन्य मतदाता वोट नहीं डाल सके। यह एक गंभीर मामला है और इस गड़बड़ी के लिए जिम्मेदार अधिकारियों के खिलाफ जांच की जानी चाहिए और कड़ी कार्रवाई की जानी चाहिए। मैं इस बूथ पर फिर से चुनाव कराने की भी मांग करता हूं, ताकि लोग अपना वोट डाल सकें।
