The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is all braced up to initiate its highly anticipated ‘Mai Bhi Kejriwal’ signature campaign in Delhi from today (Friday). This campaign, running from 1st to 20th December, will ask Delhi’s public whether if the Modi government falsely frames a case to arrest their CM, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, should he resign or continue running the Delhi government from jail. In this campaign, ministers of the Delhi government, AAP’s MLAs, councilors and party’s office bearers will visit every household across 2600 polling stations in Delhi, engage in discussions, and gather people’s opinions. Additionally, from 21st to 24th December, MLAs and councilors will conduct public dialogues in all wards to seek the vox populi.
On Thursday, during a press conference at the party headquarters, AAP Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai with Rajya Sabha MP Shri Raghav Chadha provided this information. Shri Gopal Rai stated that Modi ji put Shri Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, and Sanjay Singh in jail through false cases. Even after that, since the BJP couldn’t break AAP, a conspiracy is being hatched to arrest Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
AAP Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai stated, “The BJP has been continuously losing assembly elections in Delhi. Despite ruling the MCD for 15 consecutive years, the people of Delhi, prioritizing Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s work, uprooted the BJP from power. The way the AAP government under Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership is working in Delhi has made BJP’s top leaders and PM Modi believe that at any cost, the BJP cannot form its government in Delhi. BJP intends that if its government doesn’t form in Delhi, then Shri Arvind Kejriwal should be eliminated, and the rapidly advancing caravan of the AAP should be halted. The BJP has started a conspiracy to eliminate Shri Arvind Kejriwal.”
The AAP Delhi State Convenor continued, “Under this conspiracy, PM Modi has initiated a series of false cases, imprisoning each leader of the AAP. The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Manish Sisodia, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh, and Minister Shri Satyendar Jain have been put behind bars. Despite all these arrests, the BJP feels that they cannot damage the AAP in Delhi. The BJP cannot defect our MLAs, cannot buy them, and cannot make them bend. Therefore, preparations are underway to arrest Delhi’s CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal. BJP’s motive behind this is that if Shri Arvind Kejriwal is arrested, then the Delhi government might collapse, and they can finish off the AAP.”
Shri Gopal Rai mentioned that in this regard, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal had a meeting with his MLAs to discuss what should be done if he were arrested. The MLAs unequivocally proposed that even if arrests were made, the government should continue from jail, and resignation should not be offered. Similarly, Shri Arvind Kejriwal also had a meeting with the councilors and they proposed the same. Even at the party’s state convention, the workers echoed this sentiment. The CM stated that the AAP government in Delhi is based on the people’s support. The people of Delhi have given a mandate to the AAP. Therefore, our government exists within Delhi. Whether to resign after the arrest or to run the government from jail, the decision will be taken after consulting the public. For this, Shri Arvind Kejriwal has called upon the party workers to go door-to-door in Delhi and gather public opinion.
The AAP Delhi State Convenor further added that from December 1st to December 20th, the AAP has decided to run the ‘Mai Bhi Kejriwal’ signature campaign within 2600 polling stations in Delhi. All our ministers, legislators, councilors, and party’s office bearers will be involved in this signature campaign. Additionally, teams are being formed at the district level. These teams will visit households and engage in discussions with the people. For this purpose, the party has prepared a pamphlet that will be distributed door-to-door. Party workers will discuss the contents of the pamphlet with the people, addressing questions such as: How is the alleged liquor scam fake? Why does Modi ji want to arrest Shri Arvind Kejriwal? Can Modi ji compete with Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s work or not? Is Modi Ji against corruption? Finally, people will be asked whether Shri Arvind Kejriwal should resign if arrested or not.
Shri Gopal Rai shared, “In the second phase, a public dialogue will be initiated across Delhi from December 21st. From December 21st to 24th, public dialogues will be organized in all wards of Delhi, urging the participation of residents from entire wards. Our MLAs and councilors will be part of this public dialogue. Public opinion will also be sought in this dialogue on whether Shri Arvind Kejriwal should resign if arrested or not.”
During this, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Raghav Chadha said that the BJP sees Shri Arvind Kejriwal as its only challenge throughout the country. Just as Kansa knew that Lord Krishna would bring about his end, similarly, the BJP also knows well that it’s through Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s hands that BJP’s dirty politics will come to an end, and BJP will lose in the electoral arena. Kansa made every effort to stop Lord Krishna. Likewise, the BJP is doing everything possible to eliminate the AAP. For this, AAP leaders are being put in fake cases, imprisoned, and entangled in court proceedings through the Governor and Lieutenant Governor, aiming to disrupt governments. The sole objective of all these incidents is to weaken the AAP and eliminate Shri Arvind Kejriwal. In this series, BJP is set to play its final move with Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest. The BJP believes that if they succeed in arresting Shri Arvind Kejriwal in any false case, the AAP will cease to exist, and the Delhi government will be paralyzed.
Addressing the BJP, Shri Raghav Chadha shared that all the party workers and leaders appealed to Shri Arvind Kejriwal that even if the BJP puts you in jail, do not resign and run the government from jail. BJP only wants Shri Arvind Kejriwal to resign and the Delhi government to be paralyzed. Whether it’s holding Cabinet meetings in jail, making important decisions from jail, or having officials bring files to jail. The AAP doesn’t make any decision without asking the public. That’s why the AAP is about to start this signature campaign. Through this, by going door-to-door, they will take opinions from the people of Delhi on whether by casting their precious vote, they made their elder son, their brother, the Chief Minister. If the BJP arrests CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, should he resign or should he run the government from jail? The opinions of the people in the signature campaign will be presented to everyone.
