In a crucial meeting, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MPs, MLAs, and office bearers gathered to analyze the Lok Sabha election results and plan future strategies. Key attendees included National General Secretary (Organisation) Dr. Sandeep Pathak, MP Shri Sanjay Singh, Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai, and Delhi Cabinet Ministers Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj and Ms. Atishi. During this, Dr. Sandeep Pathak acknowledged the party’s fewer-than-expected seats but emphasized renewed vigor for the next elections, respecting the electorate’s decision and vowing to work harder. MP Shri Sanjay Singh highlighted the challenges faced by party leaders, including imprisonment ofAAP Chief Shri Arvind Kejriwal and other senior figures of the party, and affirmed their commitment to serving the people rather than negotiating deals.
AAP National General Secretary (Organization) and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sandeep Pathak said that we fought in very adverse circumstances. We were moving forward with two objectives. Our first objective was to bring down the Modi government of BJP and the second objective was to get the maximum number of seats for the AAP. Today, the seats that BJP has lost, you people have laid the foundation of them in Ramlila Maidan with your struggle. This had laid the foundation stone of the downfall of BJP in the true sense. The true character of an organization and a person is revealed only in difficult circumstances. We fought the elections with hard work, but despite getting fewer seats, you have done wonders. If not today, then tomorrow our victory is certain. Haryana-Delhi elections and Punjab by-elections are ahead. We will fight unitedly again and win.
Many times people said that now AAP is over, but we replied by registering record victory in Delhi-Punjab: Sanjay Singh
In the meeting of party office bearers, Senior AAP Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh said that AAP was formed on 26 November 2012 on the day of Constitution Day. The AAP was formed to protect Baba Saheb’s Constitution. For this we are ready to make any sacrifice. When the party contested elections in Delhi in 2013, we got 28 seats. When we contested Lok Sabha elections in 2014, our security deposits were forfeited across the country, even then we were mocked. Even then it was being said that the party was over. Before the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, PM Modi had won the elections of Jharkhand, Lok Sabha elections, Maharashtra, Haryana and was immersed in arrogance. In Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, the Prime Minister had said that Kejriwal is unlucky, I am lucky. Vote for me. When we used to go for campaigning, many people used to close the doors of their houses. Even in those adverse circumstances, the AAP contested the elections and created a record across the country by winning 67 out of 70 seats.
In the political history of India, no party would have seen so many ups and downs like AAP: Sanjay Singh
Shri Sanjay Singh further said that in the political history of India, there would be no party which would have seen so many ups and downs as the AAP has seen. Friends are recognized even in times of crisis. Today is the most difficult time for the party. Today our party chief Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Education Minister Shri Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Shri Satyender Jain are in jail. I was also kept in jail for six months. Here even people with one MP have become ministers. We have 13 MPs. If we wanted to deal, we would have done it. But the AAP has emerged from the womb of a movement. We have come to politics to become leaders, not to become dealers. We have come to work for the people. We will fight them until we defeat them. The Prime Minister gave the slogan of crossing 400 in arrogance, but only 240 seats came. Whereas the entire system including the entire media, Election Commission, Police, CBI, ED, Income Tax Department was with Modi ji. Despite this the public did not even give an absolute majority.
Message from election results is clear, no matter which dictator comes, he cannot end democracy and constitution: Gopal Rai
Delhi AAP Convenor Shri Gopal Rai said that in this Lok Sabha election, the people of the country have given a clear message that democracy and constitution will always remain alive in the country. No matter which dictator comes, he cannot end it. The BJP, which raised the slogan of crossing 400, could not even touch the majority figure. Before the election, the whole country was scared that if the BJP gets 400 seats, then the constitution and democracy of this country will not survive. We fought on 7 seats in Delhi in adverse conditions. We lost on all the seats, but our vote percentage has increased. They put our leaders Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Manish Sisodia, Shri Satyendar Jain and Shri Sanjay Singh in jail but these people did not bow down to anyone. On one side people were surrendering to this dictatorship, on the other side there were people who were ready to make every sacrifice to save the democracy and constitution of the country. The people of Delhi have given a message that Shri Arvind Kejriwal is needed in Delhi. That is why they made Arvind Kejriwal ji the Chief Minister of Delhi even today and will make him so in the future too. The day Shri Arvind Kejriwal will stand as a contender for the post of Prime Minister, all the seven seats of Delhi will be won by the Aam Aadmi Party. The people of Delhi have told that just as we have been making the BJP win in the Lok Sabha elections for the last three times, based on the same trend we have made Shri Arvind Kejriwal win in Delhi and will make him win.
AAP has fought elections in difficult circumstances while facing every challenge: Atishi
Senior AAP leader Atishi said the circumstances under which the Aam Aadmi Party fought this election, no other party in the history of the country would have fought elections in such difficult circumstances. The Aam Aadmi Party supremo Shri Arvind Kejriwal was arrested, many of our senior leaders were in jail. We are thankful to the Supreme Court that it granted interim bail to CM Arvind Kejriwal. The Aam Aadmi Party has fought elections under these difficult circumstances while facing every kind of challenge. During the election, all the big leaders of our party were in jail, the CBI, the ED and the Income Tax Department were unleashed on us. The Election Commission was openly supporting one party. In the exit polls, the BJP was given more than 400 seats. This will be the first Lok Sabha election in the history of the country whose fairness will be questioned in the future. We had many challenges in front of us, at times no way was visible, but our workers fought the election with great hard work. If it had been any other party, it would have broken down in such a difficult situation. Whatever be the result of the election, the name of the Aam Aadmi Party will be written in history for fighting the election with so much courage in these circumstances. In the 10-year history of the Aam Aadmi Party, we have faced many ordeals, when people felt that the party would be finished. The central government stopped our work. But our workers went door to door and spread the work of the Kejriwal government to every house. And last time the people of Delhi gave 62 out of 70 seats to the Aam Aadmi Party. Now we will again start our preparations for the Delhi elections, she concluded.
BJP tried to deceive Lord Rama and he defeated them in Ayodhya: Saurabh Bharadwaj
Senior AAP leader and cabinet minister in the Delhi Government Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj said that the Lok Sabha elections were fought more by the people of the country than by the political parties. The people had made up their mind to teach the BJP a lesson this time. Many people did not even know that such election results would come in which the people of the country have rejected the BJP. PM Modi’s magic is now over. The political parties came to know later that the people had already decided that PM Modi had to be defeated this time. The people of Uttar Pradesh, from where the BJP started, have also rejected the BJP now. In Ayodhya, where the BJP ran propaganda in the name of Ram Mandir all over the country, they lost the elections badly. This is a very big thing, it is much bigger than you think. The BJP tried to deceive Lord Rama, tried to use his name but Lord Rama himself defeated the BJP in Ayodhya.
