Delhi’s food and civil supplies minister Shri Imran Hussain conducted a field inspection of Shahi Idgah along with officials of various departments for the successful organization of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha (Bakra Eid) and took stock of the preparations. During the inspection, officials of Departments of Revenue, Health, MCD, BSES, DJB, Fire Services, DUSIB, PWD, and Delhi Police were also present. Along with this, prominent citizens of the area, including Shri Dharmendra Mahawar, Mohd. Arif, Shri Furqan Qureshi, Aqeel Ajmali, Aslam Ghodi were also present during the inspection.
Food and Supply Minister Shri Imran Hussain directed the officials to ensure adequate hygiene and cleanliness in the roads and lanes around the Idgah. The Minister directed the MCD to deploy adequate sanitation workers for cleaning the roads and lanes around the Idgah during Eid-ul-Azha (Bakra Eid). The Minister also directed the MCD and PWD to immediately repair the potholes and footpaths along with the roads around the Idgah.
Food and Supply Minister Shri Imran Hussain also directed the Delhi Jal Board officials to ensure proper drainage and adequate supply of clean water during Eid-ul-Azha (Bakra Eid). Shri Imran Hussain said that arrangements for water tankers should also be made near the Idgah so that people coming for namaz do not have to face water related problems. Keeping in mind the convenience of the people, the F&S Minister directed the officials of DUSIB to make proper arrangements for toilet blocks and public facilities on priority basis.
The Food and Supplies Minister Shri Imran Hussain also reviewed the preparations for essential and emergency services like deployment of medical team, mobile ambulance and disaster team, security arrangements, deployment of police team. The traffic department of Delhi Police was also directed to prepare a traffic plan during Bakra Eid and make necessary arrangements to ensure smooth traffic in the area.
Minister Shri Imran Hussain inspected the defunct streetlights in the Idgah premises and to ensure the safety of the local residents, the Minister directed the officials to coordinate with the DDA and get the defunct street lights repaired soon and also get additional streetlights installed to eliminate black spots in the premises.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Shri Imran Hussain asked the officials to be meticulous in their work so that every citizen can easily get facilities during Eid-ul-Azha (Bakra Eid). The Minister also pointed out the need to repair the staircase of Idgah and directed to do RMC flooring, and also make arrangements for more greenery in the area.
