A delegation of women MLAs of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) met the National Commission for Women on Tuesday and demanded strict action against BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya, who is accused of sexual exploitation of women. The delegation led by AAP MLA and Deputy Speaker of Delhi Assembly Rakhi Birla reached the National Commission for Women and also submitted a memorandum. Rakhi Birla says that RSS member Shantanu Sinha has alleged that Amit Malviya gets his officers high positions through exploitation of women. We have demanded the Women’s Commission to take cognizance within the next 48 hours and take strict action against Amit Malviya, so that the trust of the women of the country on the Women’s Commission remains intact. During this, MLAs Pramila Tokas, Vandana Kumari, Preeti Tomar, party official Reena Gupta and Delhi State President of the party’s women wing Sarika Chaudhary were present.
Rakhi Birla said that RSS member Shantanu Sinha has made serious allegations of sexual exploitation of women against BJP IT Cell President Amit Malviya. Shantanu Sinha has said on social media that Amit Malviya gets his officers high positions through exploitation of women. The delegation of “AAP” women MLAs and the officials of the women’s wing took cognizance of this matter and came to submit their memorandum to the National Women’s Commission today. But it is unfortunate that the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission was not present here and we had to struggle a lot to even go inside.
“After this, we handed over this memorandum to Delina, another member of the commission. We told her that the National Commission for Women should take cognizance of this within the next 48 hours. If something wrong happens to any woman in the country, then the National Commission for Women is capable of taking action on it. We hope that the commission will take cognizance of this matter within 48 hours,” the AAP leader added.
The delegation of women MLAs of the AAP has said in the memorandum submitted to the National Commission for Women that Shantanu Sinha, an RSS worker from West Bengal, has made sensational and serious allegations of sexual exploitation of women against Amit Malviya, the head of the IT cell of the BJP. There is no place for such an act in a civilized society. It is expected from people holding high positions in public life that their life and conduct should become an example for others, but this disgusting act of his has shamed the entire humanity.
Such indecent behavior cannot be expected at all from a person holding an important post like Amit Malviya. The above allegations are extremely shameful, serious, criminal and condemnable. Therefore, understanding the seriousness of the above matter, we request you to take strict legal action without any delay against the allegations made by the RSS worker against Amit Malviya so that it can become a lesson for others and the unwavering faith of the women of India on the National Commission for Women can remain intact
