The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has called for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resignation, asserting that the Lok Sabha election results reflect a clear mandate against the BJP’s politics of hatred and dictatorship. Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh declared that the electorate has rejected the BJP, which is not securing a majority, and urged PM Modi to step down on moral grounds. The senior AAP leader emphasized that the public, frustrated with inflation, unemployment, and authoritarianism, has voiced a clear message for the BJP to step back. Additionally, AAP Delhi State Convenor Gopal Rai highlighted that despite challenging conditions, AAP’s representation is growing in Punjab, and they have strongly contested the BJP in Delhi.
Senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and Rajya Sabha member Shri Sanjay Singh, Delhi State Convenor and Cabinet Minister Shri Gopal Rai and National Secretary Shri Pankaj Gupta held a joint press conference regarding the results of the Lok Sabha elections. Shri Sanjay Singh stated that I would like to bow my head in respect to the people who took part in the grand festival of democracy, elections, and congratulate them for participating in elections. Today the election results are coming, and the picture is almost becoming clear. This election has given many important messages. The biggest message that the public has given in this election is that people are unhappy and distressed with the 10 years of the BJP rule and want to remove this government. People are unhappy about inflation, unemployment and dictatorship.
“The way this (BJP-led central) government has used the power of money, used ED, CBI, IT department, police as their political tools, the way they have put all the opposition leaders in jail, including our party chief Shri Arvind Kejriwal, our education minister Shri Manish Sisodia, and Shri Satyendar Jain, a deep conspiracy was hatched to influence the entire Lok Sabha election. Despite their efforts, the great people of the country said, ‘BJP Wapas Jao’ (BJP go back). This is the slogan of the people of India. They have voted to save Baba Saheb’s constitution. They have voted to save the reservation system in the country, which is for the Dalits, the deprived, the exploited, the backward and the tribals.”
He stated that according to the results that have come out so far, the BJP does not seem to be getting any majority. In fact, the BJP has lost about 4 seats compared to last time. If the Prime Minister has even a little bit of morality, he should immediately resign, because he had given the slogan of ‘400 Paar’ (Crossing 400 seats). People understood that PM Modi wanted these 400 seats so that he could change the Constitution, end reservation, and benefit his capitalist friends. That is why the people of the country have given this result. This is a big lesson for the BJP, but perhaps they might not learn anything from this too because they only want to fight.
The senior AAP leader again thanked the people for participating in this big festival of democracy and for completely smashing the results of the exit polls. You have made it clear that ‘we will vote and select the party based on democracy. No one should live in the arrogance that they will exercise their dictatorial rule in this country forever.’
“Anyway, ever since the Prime Minister has said that his birth is not biological, he is an incarnation of God, he started considering himself greater than God. His party was singing the song that we will bring those who have brought Ram. He became so arrogant that he started claiming to bring Lord Shri Ram, started calling Lord Jagannath a devotee of Modi. Today is Tuesday, Bajrang Bali’s day and he has been given a message by Lord Shri Ram, Hanuman ji and the people of this country. It is not known how much he learns from it, but these are the great people of India’s democracy who themselves came out in the field to tell that you cannot run a dictatorial government in this country,” Shri Sanjay Singh concluded.
Meanwhile, AAP Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai said that when the seventh phase of elections ended and the exit polls came out, the people of the country were continuously giving the message in the seven phases of elections that they are giving their mandate to end BJP’s dictatorship, inflation and unemployment. But the way the BJP’s central government and the Prime Minister managed the entire media channel even at the last moment, knowing and understanding the message of the people, and the way they tried to create pressure on the psychology of the people by declaring fake exit polls, this mandate is against them too. The AAP fought this election in the most adverse circumstances among all the parties in this country. We are confident that the number of our MPs is going to increase in Punjab.
The AAP Delhi State Convenor said that the way the BJP thought that the party would end after arresting Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Manish Sisodia and Shri Satyendar Jain in Delhi, everyone used to ask how we would fight the elections, and who would campaign. But even under those adverse circumstances, all the workers of the AAP gave a tough fight to the BJP in Delhi with their rock-solid unity. The BJP’s margin in Delhi is going to reduce on a large scale. I want to tell the people of the country that you have defeated the BJP, but the BJP’s dictatorial nature is not over yet. Therefore, to save this country, its constitution and democracy, we all will have to fight this battle together.
Shri Gopal Rai said to all the parties that those who believe in the constitution and democracy of this country, I also appeal to all those party people to listen to the voice of their conscience and accept the mandate of the people and move forward to form a democratic government to save the constitution by removing this dictatorship. I am confident that all the parties of the country will listen to the mandate given by the people because the BJP does not have the majority. Rather, the parties other than the BJP have the majority.
The AAP Delhi State Convenor mentioned, “Today there are two main parties of the NDA alliance in the country. The first in this is Andhra Pradesh’s Chandrababu Naidu’s party, TDP. Chandrababu Naidu is the leader who toured the whole country in 2019 and gathered people against PM Modi. The second leader of NDA is Nitish Kumar, who this time toured the country and campaigned against PM Narendra Modi. The people of the country expect these two leaders to make the right decision at the right time and listen to the voice of the people of the country to end this dictatorship. And by ending this dictatorship in the country, a democratic government will be formed. They will solve the problem of unemployment and inflation of the people. The whole country is hopeful that soon this aspiration of theirs will be fulfilled.”
AAP National Secretary Shri Pankaj Gupta said that the results given by the people of the country in this election today will not only affect India but the whole world. Today the whole world was watching how the people of the country responded to the efforts being made to save the Constitution in India. After these elections, people’s faith in Indian democracy will increase further. The people of the country expect from all the parties other than the BJP that in the interest of the country, democracy and the poor who look towards the government with the hope that they will get employment and support to live, will make such a decision that will take the country very far.
