In a direct challenge to the Prime Minister, Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday dared him to arrest all top AAP leaders who will be marching en masse to the BJP headquarters on Sunday noon instead of picking them up one by one.
Addressing a press conference, AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal said you people are seeing how these people are after the Aam Aadmi Party, they are putting our leaders in jail one after the other. They put me, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Sanjay Singh in jail. Today my PA was put in jail. They are saying that they will put Raghav Chaddha, who has just returned from London, in jail. They are saying in a few days, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi will also be put in jail, he added.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “I was thinking that why do they want to put all of us in jail. What is our fault? Our fault is that we arranged good education for poor children in Delhi, made government schools excellent. They cannot do this, so they want to stop government schools in Delhi.”
He said our fault is that we built mohalla clinics, built government hospitals, arranged free medicines for the people for their treatment in Delhi. “They are not able to do this, that is why they want to stop functioning of Delhi hospitals, mohalla clinics, and medical treatment. Our fault is that earlier there used to be 10 hours of power cuts (in a day) in Delhi, we made electricity available for 24 hours. They want to stop that. Our fault is that we made electricity free for the people of Delhi. They want to stop this free electricity (supply) to the people as they are unable to make electricity free. This is our fault,” said the AAP supremo.
Daring the Prime Minister to arrest AAP leaders en masse, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “I want to tell the Prime Minister, you are playing this ‘Jail ka khel’ by putting one person after the other in jail. Sometimes you put Manish Sisodia, sometimes Arvind Kejriwal, sometimes Sanjay Singh in jail. I am coming to BJP headquarters with all my big leaders, MLAs, MPs, everyone, at 12 noon tomorrow. Whoever you want to put in jail, put them in all at once. You think that you will crush Aam Aadmi Party by putting its leaders in jail, the Aam Aadmi Party is not going to be crushed like this. You try putting them in jail once and see.”
The AAP National Convenor said the Aam Aadmi Party is an idea that has reached the hearts of people across the country. “This country will produce 100 times more leaders than the number of Aam Aadmi Party leaders you put in jail. Tomorrow at 12, I am coming to the BJP headquarters with all my leaders. Whoever you want to put in jail, put them in jail,” he said.
