The Aam Aadmi Party’s ( AAP) Delhi State Convener and Cabinet Minister Shri Gopal Rai on Thursday held ‘Sankalp Sabhas’ under the ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’ campaign in Vikaspuri and Matiala assemblies of West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. People who attended the meeting organized in support of AAP candidate Shri Mahabal Mishra of INDIA alliance, took an oath to answer the jail by voting. During this, Shri Gopal Rai said that the people of Delhi are angry over sending CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal to jail. This time we will avenge this insult by bidding farewell to the BJP from Delhi. Shri Arvind Kejriwal has done a lot of work, including 24 hours free electricity, water, education, health, bus travel for women and pilgrimage for the elderly and has rejuvenated the unauthorized colonies. During this, MLA Shri Mahendra Yadav and local corporation councillors along with other party leaders were also in attendance.
The AAP Delhi State Convenor and Cabinet Minister in Delhi Government, Shri Gopal Rai, said that people all over the country are voting for the Lok Sabha elections. In Delhi, the voting is going to take place on 25th May. Candidates of both the parties are roaming around asking for votes from the people. The public is saying that first give us the account of our work of 10 years, then take votes from us. The BJP leaders have not done any work in 10 years; hence they do not have any answer, the only thing that they keep saying is that they will cross 400 seats this time.
The AAP Delhi State Convenor stated that today, the youth, students, women and farmers of the country are asking questions to the BJP on unemployment, inflation and farmers’ income, but they have no answers. Today every section of the country is standing together against the dictatorship of the BJP. So, when the BJP says ‘Iss Baar, 400 Paar’, the people of the country are saying ‘Iss Baar, BJP ki Haar’.
Shri Gopal Rai said that the BJP has peaked its atrocities in 10 years. They picked up thrice elected CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and put him in jail. The BJP could not do anything for 10 years, but in 10 years, Shri Arvind Kejriwal transformed the unauthorized colonies, where people were shy, even to tell their addresses to their relatives. Today, the one who provides 24 hours electricity in Vikaspuri is Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Electricity is not generated in Delhi but he worked to provide 24 hours free electricity. CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal has provided water, education, health, Mohalla Clinics, free bus travel for women and pilgrimage for the elderly in entire Delhi. Even while going to jail, Shri Arvind Kejriwal arranged ₹1,000 for women every month. The BJP did nothing for 10 years and picked up a working Chief Minister and put him in jail. He was not allowed to even meet his family in jail. He was not given insulin for 15 days.
“Shri Arvind Kejriwal is the Chief Minister elected by lakhs of Delhiites, this insult is an insult to the public. This insult will have to be avenged on May 25. The BJP people are threatening that they will put them in jail again on June 2. On May 25, with the power of your vote, press the EVM button so many times that the BJP is eliminated from the country. If you want electricity, water, education, health, Mohalla Clinics, free bus travel for women, pilgrimage for elderly people and ₹1,000 every month for women, then go door to door and ask everyone to vote. Shri Arvind Kejriwal has worked for you, now Delhiites will fulfill their responsibility by sending the BJP away from Delhi, and with the power of their votes, they will remove the dictatorship of the BJP,” the senior AAP leader affirmed.
At the same time, the INDIA alliance and AAP candidate from West Delhi, Shri Mahabal Mishra, said that today, Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantee is visible in every house in the form of electricity, water, health, free bus travel for women, free pilgrimage for the elderly. But Modi’s guarantee turns out to be a ‘jumla’ (mere statement). Today, the Prime Minister of the country does not talk about development. He had talked about providing 2 crore jobs and reducing inflation, but he did not do any work. Today he has no real issue, he is only destroying the harmony of the country. I have worked for the people of Delhi. “I promise that I will fight for installation of meters here in the same way as I fought for unauthorized colonies. I will also raise your voice in the Parliament,” he stated.
