Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal held four impressive road shows in support of INDIA alliance candidate for Kurukshetra Dr Sushil Gupta, urging voters to remove this dictatorial government from power at the Centre.
Holding the road shows at Pehowa Chowk, Shahabad, Ladwa and Radaur under the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said if the INDIA alliance government is formed, the entire country will get 24 hours electricity and the poor will get free electricity. Excellent government schools, mohalla clinics and district level hospitals will be built in every village and the farmers will be given minimum support price (MSP) for their crops.
The AAP National Convenor said Modi ji’s guarantees are fake and till date, he has not fulfilled even a single guarantee. But the INDIA alliance government will fulfill all the guarantees. He said that the BJP central government did not allow the farmers of Punjab and Haryana to enter Delhi, laid nails on the roads and gave tickets to the son of the one who misbehaved with the female wrestlers. This time you press such a button that these people go out of Delhi.
Hundreds of party volunteers waving party flag could be seen moving along with the cavalcade of Shri Arvind Kejriwal in the towns where the road shows were held. The AAP supremo waved back at the thousands of locals who had assembled on both sides of the road through as well as those who greeted him from their balconies and rooftops.
Addressing the gathering at the road show in Pehowa, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said it feels great to be among you today, I have come among you straight from jail. I have a special relationship with Pehowa. Let me tell you how. My younger brother Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Mann’s in-laws house is in Pehowa. His father-in-law Sardar Inderjit Singh ji has come here, he is with us. Before coming, I was also talking to Bhagwant Man that we have a kinship with the land of Pehowa. “This is my right to say that not a single vote should go to the BJP from here. Not a single vote should go to the party which had sent me to jail,” he said.
Narrating that how he was sent to jail to stop him from campaigning, the Delhi Chief Minister said elections were declared on 16th March, on 21st March they caught me and put me in jail. This meant that they wanted not to allow Kejriwal to campaign. This means being afraid of Kejriwal. I am a small man, we have a small party in two states. Why did they put me in jail, what is my fault? My fault is that I made good government schools for the children of the poor in Delhi, I made arrangements for good education for the children of the poor. Just yesterday the results of class 10th and 12th came, the government schools of Delhi got the best results in the entire country. It is my fault that earlier there used to be long power cuts in Delhi, electricity was not available for 10 hours and since last 5 years our government has been in power, electricity is available 24 hours and free electricity is available. It is my fault that I have built mohalla clinics for the people of Delhi, built excellent government hospitals and made treatment free for all. It is my fault that I made supply of medicines to the people of Delhi free.
Talking about the treatment meted out to him in jail, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said I am diabetic and take 52 units of insulin daily. When I was in Tihar Jail, these people stopped my insulin for 15 days. My sugar level reached 300, reached 350, I told them my kidney, my liver will get damaged. This is how these people treated me. “This is my fault. My fault is that I will give Rs 1000 to every woman in her bank account. Now I have got 20 days to campaign for the elections. It is because of your good wishes that I got bail, it was a miracle that the judge granted me bail that day. God exists, do you believe?” he said.
Urging the voters to elect the INDIA alliance candidate, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said when you vote, if you press the button on the lotus (BJP election symbol), I will go to jail, and if you press the button on the broom (AAP election symbol), I will not have to go to jail again. Now it’s up to you. “The issue is who wants Kejriwal to go to jail and who wants Kejriwal not to go to jail. The day you go to press the button, think in your mind whether to send Kejriwal to jail or not,” he said.
Reminding the voters of the BJP’s handling of the farmer movement about three years ago, the Delhi Chief Minister said about 3.5 years ago, when farmers from all over the country were protesting and especially the farmers from Haryana and Punjab wanted to come to Delhi, they were not allowed to enter Delhi. “I felt very bad, I could not do anything because we do not have police inside Delhi. They put nails on the roads, when China grabs our land, they don’t nail their route; when Pakistan grabs our land, they don’t have courage to stand up in front of them. Boulders were placed for the farmers, nails were hammered in, they did not allow the farmers to enter Delhi as if the farmers were enemies. Is Delhi only theirs? Delhi belongs to 140 crore people of the country, this time press the button to throw them (BJP) out of Delhi,” he said.
The AAP supremo said shouldn’t we fight against those people who have outraged the modesty of our wrestler daughters? They are showing you thumb and saying that you can do whatever want; this time you show them your thumb by voting against them. This time, by pressing the button, teach them such a lesson that they will not dare to point their fingers at our daughters again.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said they (BJP) have created complete dictatorship; they arrested me, did not let the farmers enter Delhi, they honour those people who misbehave with our wrestler daughters by giving them tickets. Now the situation in the entire country is turning against them, they are losing badly. They are losing in Haryana and Rajasthan. Their seats are declining in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi, and Punjab, their seats are not increasing anywhere. “They were claiming they’ll get more than 400 seats, but I can assure you that they’re not even going to cross 230 seats. Modi government is not going to be formed after June 4,” he said.
Seeking full support from the voters in Haryana, the AAP National Convenor said history is witness to the fact that whenever a revolution has started in the country, it has started from Haryana. Haryana is blessed with the brave; Haryanvi people are brave. Since all the revolutions have started from Haryana, the process of removing dictatorship from this country should also start from Haryana. “Now when I talk to people, they say that 5-6 seats will go to INDIA alliance, but I do not want 5-6, I want all the 10 seats. You will all have to work hard to ensure that,” he said.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said nowadays, the BJP’s slogan ‘Modi ki Guarantee’ is going on, all these guarantees are bogus. Earlier, he had given a guarantee that he would transfer Rs 15 lakhs to everyone’s account, did anyone get it? He had guaranteed that he would provide 2 crore jobs in one year, did anyone get it? He had guaranteed that all crops would be purchased at MSP and the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission report would be implemented, did he do it? He had promised that the farmers’ income will double by 2022, has anyone’s income doubled? He had promised that he’ll make 100 smart cities, did he do it? He has not completed even one of his guarantees.
Assuring voters that AAP’s guarantees will be honoured, the AAP National Convenor said today I am giving you some guarantees, and these are Kejriwal’s guarantees. I have fulfilled all the guarantees I have given to the people of Delhi so far. That is why the people of Delhi love me so much. It is certain that after June 4, the INDIA alliance will form government at the Centre and the Aam Aadmi party will be a part of it. I have not talked to the INDIA alliance about these guarantees that I am giving, but I will talk to them and ensure that all of these are fulfilled.
Giving details of his guarantees, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said my first guarantee is that the entire country will have electricity supply 24X7. I have done it in Delhi, I have done it in Punjab, because I know how to do it. I will provide free electricity to the poor, like it was done in Delhi and Punjab.
“My second guarantee is that I will build excellent government schools throughout the country. This should have happened 75 years ago, in 1950. The first thing that should have happened after independence was to open good schools in every village. It was a mistake, but no matter what, we will correct it. I will build such good schools that you will remove your children from private schools and enroll them in government schools. Every child born in this country will have the right to quality and free education,” he said.
The AAP National Convenor said the third guarantee is that Mohalla clinics will be built in every village and world-class air-conditioned government civil hospitals will be built in every district, which will be better than even big private hospitals, like Max, Fortis, and Apollo. We will provide free treatment to every citizen born in the country. Treatment will not be done on the basis of insurance. This is real nation building, he added.
While giving the fourth guarantee, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that we will take back our land that China and Pakistan have occupied. We will get our land released.
Fifth, the Agniveer Scheme is a big betrayal to our children. This plan has also weakened our army. A child who will join the army for four years will not want to sacrifice his life. We will abolish the Agniveer scheme, and those who have already enrolled will be made permanent. After this, there will be regular recruitment in the army, he added.
Sixth guarantee, we will implement Swaminathan report and give MSP on crops. Seventh promise, we will implement the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). Eighth guarantee, we will end corruption. Washing machines of the BJP people are the biggest reason for corruption. This washing machine will be broken at the intersection. Just as we have truly eliminated corruption in Delhi-Punjab, similarly we will truly end corruption in the country too.
Giving the ninth guarantee, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that unemployment will be removed from the country. I have arranged 12 lakh jobs in Delhi in the last few years. It has only been two years since our government was formed in Punjab. By now, our government, led by Sardar Bhagwant Mann, has provided more than 50,000 government jobs and arranged for more than 3 lakh private employment. Now, we will arrange two crore jobs.
Giving the tenth guarantee, he said that traders are troubled by GST, we will fix this. We will simplify GST and will also solve the problems of all commission agents. Shri Arvind Kejriwal then appealed to the people that this time all the 10 seats of Haryana should be given to the INDIA alliance. I am here to appeal to all of you to vote for INDIA alliance candidate Dr Sushil Gupta, you have to give all the 10 seats to the INDIA alliance this time.
During the road show in Shahabad, Ladwa and Radaur, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said not a single guarantee of Shri Narendra Modi is fulfilled. Their guarantee is fake. Till now, he has not fulfilled even a single guarantee, but Kejriwal has fulfilled all the guarantees. He said that I am giving 10 guarantees to the country, which when fulfilled will take the country to great heights. Everyone’s treatment will be free under the INDIA alliance government. We will not give bogus health insurance like them. What is the use of Ayushmann Yojana when there are no hospitals and medicines? We will open hospitals in every village, he added.
The AAP supremo said China has occupied our land, but the central government is continuously denying this while everything is being known through satellite images. Our army repeatedly asks for permission, but the central government does not allow it. We will take back all our land from China and Pakistan.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that we will remove corruption from the country. Today the biggest reason for corruption in the country is the BJP’s washing machine. He has inducted all the corrupt people of the country in his party. All their cases have been closed and they have been made spotless. They sent honest people like me and Manish Sisodia to jail and took the corrupt into their party. We will send real corrupt people to jail, free the honest people and make the country corruption free, said the AAP National Convenor.
