Delhi Cabinet Minister and Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, Ms. Atishi, convened a pivotal ‘Sankalp Sabha’ in Janakpuri on Monday, as part of the ‘Jail ka Jawaab Vote Se’ campaign. With fervent support for INDIA Alliance candidate Shri Mahabal Mishra from West Delhi Lok Sabha seat, attendees pledged to answer dictatorship at the ballot box on May 25.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Atishi highlighted the significance of elections, urging voters to make informed decisions given the lasting impact of their choices. Reflecting on BJP’s promises versus realities, she urged voters to make an informed choice, emphasizing the need for meaningful change in governance.

Inflation started has skyrocketed instead of decreasing in the 10 years of BJP rule
Senior AAP leader and cabinet minister, Ms. Atishi, said that BJP had given the slogan ‘Bahut hui mehangai ki war, abki baar Modi Sarkar’ (Enough of inflation, this time Modi government) but instead of decreasing in ten years, inflation increased further. Today, it has become difficult for the common people to run the household expenses with the amount they earn. The price of a gas cylinder has increased from ₹300 to ₹1,200, the price of diesel has increased from ₹55 to ₹90, the price of petrol has increased to ₹100. In the last 10 years, everything has become expensive. In such a situation, this time the public will give an answer to the increased inflation.
BJP, which promised employment, has taken unemployment to its peak
She said that BJP had given another slogan, ‘Bahut hui berozgari ki maar, abki baar Modi sarkar’ (Enough of unemployment, this time Modi government). But unemployment has not decreased in the last 10 years. Rather, it has increased even more. Today unemployment is at its peak. Modiji used to talk about India becoming a ‘Vishwaguru’ – he has made India a ‘Vishwaguru’ in the matter of inflation and unemployment.
The Delhi Cabinet Minister mentioned that they (BJP) had promised to end corruption and deposit ₹15 lakh in everyone’s account. But that too proved to be a ‘Jumla’ (rhetoric). All their promises proved to be a Jumla. The BJP has shown in its 10 years that it has no intention of fulfilling any of its promises. This is the reason why BJP is afraid of Shri Arvind Kejriwal because he fulfilled all the promises he made.
Ms. Atishi said that today Delhi has 24-hour electricity. People’s electricity bills are zero. Shri Arvind Kejriwal had promised that he will make government schools excellent, and will provide excellent education to even the children of the poorest of poor families. Today, children studying in Delhi government schools become automobile engineers, not mechanics. They do not drop out from school but get admission in IIT, medical college. This is Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s government and these are his promises.
“Shri Arvind Kejriwal made DTC bus travel free for his mothers and sisters in Delhi. This is Arvind Kejriwal’s government. He gave Mohalla Clinics to Delhi where medicines are free, tests are free, and treatment is free. Shri Arvind Kejriwal became the modern era’s ‘Shravan Kumar’ and arranged free pilgrimages for the elderly of Delhi,” She added.
Ms. Atishi shared that whether it is free electricity, water, excellent schools, Mohalla Clinics, free bus travel, free pilgrimage for the elderly, if any person has done all this for the first time in this country, then it is Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Today every child in Delhi knows that if there is improvement in the lives of Delhiites, then there is only one man behind it, Shri Arvind Kejriwal; and this is the reason why BJP is jealous of Shri Arvind Kejriwal because he fulfills his promises. When Shri Arvind Kejriwal promised ₹1,000 per month to the women of Delhi, then BJP’s panic became more severe, so immediately after the announcement of elections, Shri Arvind Kejriwal was put in jail by the BJP’s central government by making false allegations.
She further added that when people go to cast their votes in this election, they should remember who is the man who changed their lives, who worked to improve the lives of the common people of Delhi, but he was sent to jail. We have to remember that when we needed Shri Arvind Kejriwal, he stood with us. So today when Shri Arvind Kejriwal needs Delhiites, the whole of Delhi is standing with him. Delhiites will give a reply to the BJP that on 25th May, they will answer the dictatorship, atrocities and false allegations of BJP with their votes,” She affirmed.
