The AAP Delhi State Convenor and Cabinet Minister in the Delhi Government, Shri Gopal Rai, spearheaded a powerful ‘Sankalp Sabha’ on Sunday evening in the Deoli and Sangam Vihar Assembly constituencies as part of the Aam Aadmi Party’s ‘Jail ka Jawaab Vote Se’ campaign. A significant turnout marked the meeting, organized in support of AAP and INDIA alliance candidate Shri Sahiram Pahalwan.
Shri Gopal Rai administered an oath to the attendees, urging them to respond to injustice with their votes. He emphasized that Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s confinement in Tihar Jail stems from his tireless dedication to the welfare of Delhiites. Shri Gopal Rai condemned the BJP’s action of incarcerating Shri Arvind Kejriwal as an affront to Delhiites and called upon all to unite in delivering a resounding response through the ballot.
The AAP Delhi State Convenor said that the bugle for the Lok Sabha elections has been sounded across the country. Two phases of voting have been completed. The decision on the 7 Lok Sabha seats of Delhi is to be taken on 25 May. Delhiites voted for the BJP MP not for one or two years but for 10 years. They gave BJP and Narendra Modi a chance to form, run and work for 10 years at the Centre. On the other hand, Delhiites voted for Delhi’s son Shri Arvind Kejriwal and gave him a chance to form, run and work in Delhi. Delhiites gave both the parties a chance. But in 10 years, the BJP did nothing for Delhiites. Now the BJP candidates are coming to ask for votes even after 10 years. When they come to ask for votes, do ask them what work they have done in all these years? The work that the Narendra Modi government of BJP would have done in all the 10 assembly constituencies of South Delhi from Badarpur to Bijwasan combined, Sahiram Pahalwan did more work in his assembly constituency alone under the leadership of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s work cannot be matched.
The AAP Delhi State Convenor continued, “Modi ji had promised that ‘achche Din’ (good days) will come after coming to power. Every year 2 crore jobs will be provided to the youth. Black money will be brought back. The youth did not get any employment, but whenever recruitment comes out and they fill the form, the exam is cancelled. The youth fill the form many times, and the paper is cancelled again and again, but the youth does not get employment. He had promised to bring back black money, the ₹15 lakh that was supposed to come in the accounts of the people did not come, but BJP’s account received donations of ₹8,000 crores from various companies. Donations have come from such companies which are running in losses of crores of rupees. The company which is running in losses of ₹10 crores is donating ₹100 crores to the BJP. No party has been able to do this miracle till date. All this black money did not come to the public, but this black money came into the BJP’s account.”
Shri Gopal Rai further added that Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, whom Delhiites made the Chief Minister of Delhi with their love and blessings, is today imprisoned in Tihar Jail. He is imprisoned because he works for you. Shri Arvind Kejriwal has committed only one crime, that he works day and night for the people. The BJP people say that Shri Arvind Kejriwal is imprisoned because he has done corruption. But if anyone works honestly in the entire country, then his name is only Arvind Kejriwal, who has been imprisoned today through a conspiracy. Shri Arvind Kejriwal has provided Delhiites 24 hours free electricity, water, free bus travel for women, free pilgrimage for the elderly, built excellent schools and hospitals. Shri Arvind Kejriwal passed the budget to give a honorarium of ₹1,000 every month to every woman of Delhi. As soon as Arvind Kejriwal passed the budget to give ₹1,000 every month to every woman of every family in Delhi, the BJP people started feeling uneasy and they picked him up and put him in jail.
“It is not just about putting him in jail. Today, the elected Chief Minister has been put in Tihar jail. Shti Arvind Kejriwal is not just a person, he is the heartbeat of Delhi. Lakhs of people of Delhi have made him the Chief Minister with their votes. Today he is not being allowed to meet his wife and children in jail. Shri Arvind Kejriwal was made to suffer for medicines for a month. This insult is not only an insult to Shri Arvind Kejriwal, but also an insult to the people of entire Delhi, who have made Shri Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister. This is an insult to Deoli and Sangam Vihar. Shri Arvind Kejriwal has worked with all his heart and soul for Delhiites, today he is in jail, so it is our duty to work for him. Today, we have to take only one responsibility that on the coming 25th May, we have to answer this jail with our votes. We have the power of votes,” he affirmed.
Shri Gopal Rai told the public that if any poor person lives in this narrow lane of Sangam Vihar, then his vote has the same power as the vote of the dictator Prime Minister of this country. “We are equal to them in the power of vote. On one side the BJP has the arrogance of power and on the other side the people of Sangam Vihar, Deoli have the power of vote. We have to be ready to answer this dictatorship with our votes. We will fight this battle together and win,” he concluded.
AAP workers take oath to ‘Answer Jail with Votes’ in Badarpur
AAP Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai conducted an AAP workers’ conference in the Badarpur Assembly constituency of South Delhi on Sunday, under the ‘Jail ka Jawab Vote Se’ campaign. During this event, all AAP workers of the Badarpur Assembly constituency pledged that they would ensure the victory of the AAP in South Delhi by avenging the injustice that occurred with Delhi’s son and CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal on May 25, through their votes. On this occasion, former MLA Ram Singh Netaji, MLA Rituraj Jha, former MLA of Tughlakabad Assembly Sheeshpal, MLA Sanjeev Jha, all ward councillors, former councillors and AAP workers were present.
