In view of the BJP-ruled Centre on Monday moving the Supreme Court to allow the allocation of spectrum through an administrative process, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has called the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) the biggest corrupt party and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of committing a “5G scam” to benefit his capitalist friends.
Addressing the media persons here today, Senior AAP Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh said I have been repeatedly saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party has no shyness from corruption, but if there is any party that is the biggest protector of corruption, then it is the Bharatiya Janata Party. This fact has also come to the fore in electoral bonds, this is also proved by the fact that the Government of India and the Prime Minister have waived off ₹15 lakh crore of some of their capitalist friends, ₹3.50 lakh crore has been written off in respect of a few capitalists through settlement by banks, he added.
The Rajya Sabha MP said but an even bigger matter which will surprise the whole country is that the people from the Bharatiya Janata Party itself were agitating and protesting against 2G (spectrum allocation) _ from the Prime Minister of India to the entire party on the streets. The BJP was raising its voice and repeatedly saying that this procedure is not right. The allegation was that the policy of ‘first come, first served’ is wrong. And in 2012, a historic judgment of the Supreme Court came in which it said that the allocation of spectrum should be done through auction, the license should not be given based on ‘first come, first served’ policy. Completely rejecting the policy of ‘first come, first served’, the Supreme Court in its historic decision of 2012 said that under no circumstances the policy of ‘first come, first served’ should be implemented; allocation of spectrum license must be done by adopting the auction process.
Attacking the Narendra Modi-led BJP government for making a U-turn on the spectrum allocation policy, Shri Sanjay Singh said but Modi ji and his government have been exposed today in front of the entire country. In 2023, when 150 MPs were out (suspended) of the House, they adopted the same policy which the Prime Minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party had been against, the same policy which the whole country was against was passed _ the policy of ‘first come, first served’. “The policy of granting spectrum licenses from the administrative process was passed in the Parliament of the country at a time when 150 MPs were suspended and thrown out by murdering democracy. And now they have reached the Supreme Court and started saying, what are you doing, if we go through the auction process, it will benefit the country, it will increase the country’s income, how will the income of our friends increase, how will the looting of our government increase? How will corruption increase?” said the senior AAP leader.
Shri Sanjay Singh continued. “So, they (BJP-ruled Centre) reached the Supreme Court and said that we should be allowed to give the license of 5G spectrum based on ‘first come, first served’ policy, that is, on the basis of administrative process. First the law was passed and now it has reached the Supreme Court. These people do not even accept the decisions of the Supreme Court. There was a decision on electoral bonds, they are standing against it; they are standing against the historic decision of 2012 on 2G spectrum. So today the face of PM Narendra Modi and his government has been exposed in front of the entire country,” he said.
The Rajya Sabha MP said for this mega 5G scam of Modi ji, he is ready to do everything for his friends. PM Narendra Modi is ready to sacrifice everything not for the country but for his friends. He gave electricity, water, roads, steel, coal, gas, port, airport, the whole of India to one of his friends. He (Narendra Modi) made his nephew (Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah) the ‘head’ of BCCI. Prime Minister, you consider the people of this country to be fools, you waived off ₹15 lakh crores of a few capitalists, you called all the biggest corrupt people of the country and included them in your party. “You are not ashamed. He (PM) speaks against corruption and also protects corruption. They (BJP) want a license to corruption. This 5G scam, which is being done within the country under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, I think, will prove to be the biggest scam in India. Therefore, the people of the entire country should raise their voice on this issue, all the parties must raise their voice against this matter that how the same process which was opposed by the Prime Minister himself and his party, was passed in the Parliament. Why do you want to get the process passed by the Supreme Court? We will not let this 5G mega scam of yours happen and this contradictory character of yours has now been exposed before the whole country,” said the senior AAP leader.
Playing a video of the public rally in which the Prime Minister of India accused NCP leader Ajit Pawar of indulging in massive corruption prior to his joining the NDA, Shri Sanjay Singh said look who is giving the details of corruption by the NCP leaders. “The Prime Minister of India is not an ordinary man; he claims to be the most powerful leader in the world. He is not the world’s biggest leader, he (PM) is the patron of the world’s biggest corrupt people. Ajit Pawar, his wife Sunetra Pawar and his nephews got clean chit in the Maharashtra Cooperative Bank scam. The BJP government has given them a clean chit, Modi ji has given them a clean chit. You (PM) accuse them of being behind the cooperative bank scam of ₹70,000 crores; who will answer this, Prime Minister? So now this thing has come before the country that by looting all the resources of the country, the Prime Minister wants to give them to his few friends and has reached the Supreme Court to do this big scam of 5G,” said the Rajya Sabha MP.
Shri Sanjay Singh said but Modi ji will have to account for every single penny. The day the INDIA Alliance government is formed, every single rupee will be accounted for, and all the money will be taken back from these dishonest people, he added.
