To carry forward the Lok Sabha campaign in a more organized manner with greater momentum, the AAP’s Delhi state convenor and senior leader Shri Gopal Rai launched the Lok Sabha war room on Saturday at the party headquarters.
He was joined by the party National Secretary Shri Pankaj Gupta at the launch.
After inaugurating the war room, Shri Gopal Rai said that the Aam Aadmi Party is contesting four Lok Sabha seats under the INIDA alliance banner. The party has already been running campaigns for its candidates on New Delhi (Somnath Bharti), South Delhi (Sahi Ram), West Delhi (Mahabal Mishra), and East Delhi (Kuldeep Kumar) across these constituencies. In the first phase, we started our door-to-door campaign. In the second phase, we have been running the ‘Jail ka Jawab, Vote se’ campaign, under which we are organising Sankalp Sabha every day. Today, we are starting the third phase of our campaign, which will be led by Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Smt. Sunita Kejriwal. She will be campaigning for the AAP through these roadshows, the first roadshow will be held today in East Delhi.
Shri Gopal Rai said that this war room has been inaugurated to oversee all these election activities in a systematic manner. In this, we have created 12 sections in which separate in-charge for each of the 4 Lok Sabha constituencies have been made, who will coordinate all the activities of the campaign. Along with this, social media team, digital media team, media team, campaign management team, data management team, research team, logistics team and legal team have been formed. We have also kept a research and data management team in the war room. We have received a lot of data even in the first phase of the campaign. We will work on everything by analysing the data we already have.
Shri Gopal Rai said that the nomination process will start in Delhi from next week, therefore, we are also starting preparations for permission and nomination. The Aam Aadmi Party is fully prepared to conduct the entire election campaign through this war room.
The senior AAP leader said that seeing the speed with which the Aam Aadmi Party’s election campaign is progressing in Delhi, the BJP is feeling uneasy and scared. This time, the Aam Aadmi Party is not contesting the elections, rather the people of Delhi are contesting the elections, and this has sent shivers down the BJP’s spine. The people of Delhi had given their support to the Chief Minister of Delhi by electing them with their votes. The way the CM was arrested with a dictatorial attitude, the people of Delhi are getting ready to respond to this dictatorship and answer the arrest with their votes. The whole of Delhi is standing against the dictatorship of the BJP and will certainly give their mandate through their votes.
AAP’s National Secretary Shri Pankaj Gupta said that many of our election campaigns have already been launched and are running successfully. Our ‘Jail Ka Jawab, Vote Se’ campaign is already a hit. In our door-to-door campaign, our volunteers visited lakhs of houses in Delhi and talked to them. We have received feedback from people everywhere, people of Delhi are extremely saddened by the arrest of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Their prayer to God is that Shri Arvind Kejriwal comes out of jail as soon as possible and takes charge of Delhi. Another important part of the campaign, road show, begins today, which will be led by Smt. Sunita Kejriwal. Besides these, we have various campaigns lined up for the coming weeks. All the candidates are working in their respective fields. Through many activities, we are conveying our message to the public in new and different way every day. The best part is that we are receiving immense trust and love from the public. This time the people of Delhi will defeat the BJP on all seven seats. This time the people of Delhi have made up their mind to make the INDIA Alliance win on all seven seats.
Shri Pankaj Gupta further stated that a war room plays an extremely crucial role in handling big election campaigns. Managing a campaign requires different departments and manpower. Here we have media, social media, logistics, data management, research, campaign management and legal team. The biggest advantage of having a war room is that the leaders of all the teams sit together and work, due to which there is good coordination among them. In case of any problem, it becomes easier for them to seek support from each other as to when, where and how to talk. This would prove to be extremely beneficial for everyone.
Public is understanding that like Delhi government, BJP also wants to shut down MCD: Gopal Rai
On the MCD elections, the AAP’s Delhi state convenor Shri Gopal Rai said that the entire country has seen with how much struggle the mayor was elected the last time. After that, the LG wrongly appointed the aldermen, due to which the standing committee has not been formed till date. This time, he has altogether cancelled the election of MCD Mayor. It is clearly visible to the people of Delhi that just as the BJP is trying to destroy the Delhi government, in the same way it is trying to destroy the MCD as well. The BJP- led Central Government only wants to implicate the Aam Aadmi Party leaders as part of a political conspiracy. The BJP people want to destroy the Aam Aadmi Party at any cost and for this, they are levelling false allegations against the AAP leaders.
