Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh has accused the ED and the jail administration of playing with the life of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and a deep conspiracy is being hatched to kill him at the behest of the Modi government. He said CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal is not being given insulin in the jail and the ED is lying about his diet chart, whereas according to the jail rules, information about the health and diet of any prisoner cannot be made public.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Shri Sanjay Singh expressed concern over the Chief Minister’s life as the BJP is hatching a conspiracy to jeopardize his life. Reminding the media of an old statement, he stated, “You must remember when I was in jail, when I came for a court hearing in my case, I gave a statement, while I was surrounded by the police and I was stopped from saying anything. I had given a statement that a deep conspiracy is going on against Shri Arvind Kejriwal. At that time, many people objected to my statement as to what was I talking about. But I know the working style of the BJP, the way BJP leaders work, they stoop to the extent of taking someone’s life, and hatch conspiracies to the extent of taking someone’s life.”
“And now with the kind of proceedings which are continuously going on against Shri Arvind Kejriwal, I want to say this with full responsibility and concern, I want to say this with concern for Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s family, I want to say this with concern for each and every worker of the AAP, and with the concern for 2=crore people of Delhi, I want to say that a deep conspiracy is being hatched against Shri Arvind Kejriwal and any kind of accident can happen with him inside the jail,” he added.
The Senior AAP leader further stated that any kind of accident can happen with Shri Arvind Kejriwal because you all are seeing the way a three-time elected Chief Minister is being treated like a terrorist. His wife is being made to meet him like a terrorist. The Chief Minister of Punjab is being made to meet him like a terrorist. And in the case of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, whether it is the ED officers, the officers from LG Office, or the jail administration officers, together they are giving conspiracy-filled news about him in the media every day. I would like to emphasize that this is happening under a full-fledged conspiracy and the ED officers, along with officials from the LG office and jail administration are deliberately spreading false news about Shri Arvind Kejriwal, he stated.
Lashing out at the ED and the jail authorities, he said, “According to the jail rules, you cannot make any kind of information about any prisoner, related to his health or his food habits, public. I want to ask the ED; with what authority did they get Arvind Kejriwal’s false diet chart publicized in the media yesterday? What is the conspiracy behind this? Are you planning to give poison to him under some pretext? Are you trying to kill him? What do you want to do? Because what you propagated in the media yesterday was a complete lie.”
The Rajya Sabha MP slammed the BJP and said that at the behest of the BJP and PM Narendra Modi, the life of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal is being played with in jail. He said that Shri Arvind Kejriwal is a diabetic patient for the last 30 years. He has been suffering from diabetes for years and takes insulin to maintain the sugar level. All the big media journalists who know him, are well-aware that Shri Arvind Kejriwal takes insulin. Insulin medicine is so important for any diabetes patient that if insulin is not given on time, the person can die. Why is his life being played with at the behest of PM Narendra Modi? My direct allegation is why is the life of the Chief Minister of Delhi being played with at the behest of the BJP and the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi? Insulin, which is the most important medicine for any diabetes patient, is a life-saving medicine, if it is not given on time, it can result in death. Why are such an important medicine not being provided to him?”
Addressing the media, he further stated, “Can you imagine? Even the biggest criminals are treated in hospitals like AIIMS. But the jail administration is not providing insulin to the three-time elected Chief Minister of Delhi. And you know that the jail administration cannot do all this on their own. Unless their boss who is sitting above, the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi, gives orders that you have to do this, you have to do that, you have to do conspiracies like this, the jail administration officers cannot do such thing on their own.”
Lashing out at the ED, the Rajya Sabha MP said that the ED officials are propagating a false diet chart that Shri Arvind Kejriwal is deliberately increasing his (blood) sugar. The ED officials should be ashamed of themselves. We will soon complain to the Election Commission that during the election time, the officers of the jail administration are involved in this conspiracy to defame our party chief, officials from the ED and the LG office are also involved in this conspiracy. Suspension and strict administrative action should be taken against all the officials who are involved in the conspiracy to jeopardize the life of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. We will meet the Election Commission and the President of India to discuss this, he stated.
Shri Sanjay Singh said, “You have made everything a joke; you will do anything you want. You will not provide insulin to a diabetic patient. Are you playing with every person’s life, making fun of them?”
Reading out Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s sugar report, the Rajya Sabha MP said, “On April 12, his sugar level was 320; On 13th April, it was 270; On 14th and 15th April, it was 300; On 16th, it was 250; On 17th, it was 280. This is his real sugar report, the one that he discusses with his family. We all know that he has a sugar patch (blood sugar monitoring device) on himself, just like I had one when I was jailed. Sugar needs to be monitored regularly, that is why the court orders it. I was also ordered to use one by the court. Despite this, why are you (jail authorities) not giving him insulin? This is a criminal act; this is a deep conspiracy to play with the life of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. All of this is being done by the authorities on the orders of PM Narendra Modi under a conspiracy. We will soon meet the EC and the President to demand the suspension action of all the officials who are involved in this conspiracy against Shri Arvind Kejriwal.”
The senior AAP leader stated that this is election time, and they are trying to defame our party leader with a false allegation every day. They are making private information about someone public, that too false information. The ED has gone 10 steps ahead. The case, which is under consideration in the court, the petition on which the court has not given its verdict yet, is being made public by the ED. I would reiterate that on the orders of the Modi government, the life of Shri Arvind Kejriwal is being played with, under a big conspiracy. I want to appeal to the people of the country and Delhi that it is your son who has provided so many facilities like quality education for your children, health, electricity, water, pilgrimage for the elderly, free bus travel for mothers and sisters, among other facilities, who has worked for you day and night. Today, that son of yours is inside the jail, and the people of the BJP and the Prime Minister’s government are hatching a deep conspiracy against him and are playing with his life. In this time of crisis, all of you should stand with Shri Arvind Kejriwal and answer these things with the power of your vote, he stated.
The senior AAP leader also explained to the media people that it is very important that the media people give correct information and not be part of any conspiracy. “Since yesterday you must have been watching everything that’s happening, I feel ashamed, I have never seen such dirty politics. Media people are also making fun of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Sorry if what I say hurts you, but if you had done some research and groundwork, you would have got the correct information. Yesterday, you spread the news of the arrest of one of our leaders (Amanatullah Khan) everywhere. The media has an important responsibility, please refrain from doing such things. Media people should not be a part of this conspiracy at all, you should carefully investigate all the news first, and then show the truth.”
Shri Sanjay Singh, explaining the seriousness of diabetes, stated that these BJP people have been doing drama since yesterday, making fun of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, don’t you (BJP) feel ashamed? There are many senior leaders who are suffering from diabetes, ask them how it feels, how serious is this condition. Shri J.P. Nadda is a very senior leader, he is with us in Rajya Sabha. There are many other leaders too, ask Home Minister Shri Amit Shah himself, he is also a diabetic patient, ask him how serious this condition is. I have been diabetic for the last 6 years. Don’t make fun of his condition, the whole country is watching you people, people will not forgive this, he stated.
“Since yesterday I have been seeing how the BJP people are making fun of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, some are saying one thing, and some are saying something else. What is this? You will stoop down to this level for political animosity? You never get sick? No one in your family gets sick. If someone is sick, you are making fun of his illness? Are none of your leaders suffering from diabetes? Don’t they get themselves treated? They don’t take medicines and insulin?” he questioned.
On one hand, you are putting a sitting Chief Minister of Delhi in jail and conspiring to kill him, and now the entire party is making fun of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. The BJP has stooped down to the lowest level of politics. They should not call themselves a party of values or claim their party as a ‘Party with a Difference’. Is this what you’re being taught in your RSS organisation? Is this your conduct? Is this what you people have learned? To make fun of a person’s health in a difficult time? So much hatred? You will do good for the country? People with so much hatred in their hearts cannot do any good for the country, added Shri Sanjay Singh.
In response to a reporter’s question about AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan’s arrest rumours yesterday, the AAP senior leader, stated, “We will share detailed information on this matter as soon as we receive official information. However, I would like to reiterate what I said yesterday. The entire case against Amanatullah Khan is fabricated and baseless. There is no evidence against him.”
On being asked that if the Tihar jail comes under the jurisdiction of the Delhi Government, then how is the BJP led central government interfering and conspiring against the CM inside the jail, Shri Sanjay Singh said that the DG of the Tihar jail is appointed by none other than the Ministry of Home Affairs. PM Modi took all the services from us even after the decision of the Supreme Court. The LG was showing concern through a tweet yesterday. We have heard rumours from the media that right before that, the LG had a meeting with the DG of Tihar Jail. This is why we are saying that a deep conspiracy is being hatched. These are rumours that can only be verified by the media. We would like to make it clear that Shri Arvind Kejriwal is not afraid of such investigations. These false allegations will not break his morale, his spirit. You can continue plotting against him, but we will keep fighting, Shri Sanjay Singh concluded.
