Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Cabinet Minister Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj said that the biggest problem of the Bharatiya Janata Party is that despite their constant conspiracies, the people across Delhi, India, and the entire world are not ready to believe that Shri Arvind Kejriwal or the Aam Aadmi Party is corrupt. He said that not only the general public but also the people within the Bharatiya Janata Party also believe that arresting Shri Arvind Kejriwal is the biggest mistake of the BJP led central government. He said that for the last 2 years, every day the Bharatiya Janata Party has been trying to prove the Aam Aadmi Party corrupt through some means or the other. The BJP fabricates a new story every day to try to prove Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party corrupt.
Addressing a press conference here today, AAP senior leader and Delhi Cabinet Minister Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj said the Central Government’s ED had arrested Delhi’s CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal on 21 March. The BJP has been running this smear campaign for two years against the AAP claiming a huge scam has been done, a lot of people are involved in this scam. They kept shifting the ‘kingpin’ tag from one person to another. Finally, the accused Shri Arvind Kejriwal as the ‘kingpin’ of the so-called liquor policy case and arrested him.
“The BJP’s problem is that even after arresting Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the people of Delhi, India, and the entire world refuse to believe that the Aam Aadmi Party and Shri Arvind Kejriwal are corrupt. This is their biggest problem. People, including a large section of the BJP, are even saying that arresting the Chief Minister is the biggest mistake of the central government. Because they failed to prove the AAP as corrupt, they try to fabricate a new story every day through some medium or the other,” he said.
Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj exposed the BJP’s new conspiracy against the AAP. He said that in the last few days, a new name has come to light, Charanpreet Singh. As per some newspapers, it is being claimed about him that he is the fund manager of the AAP. There is no such post of ‘fund manager’ that we know of, even after being in the party for years. There are some facts in this matter which are deliberately being hidden from the public, which I would like to expose in front of all of you, he said.
Revealing the hidden facts related to this matter, he said, “First, this Charanpreet Singh was arrested one year ago by the CBI, and then CBI Judge, Shri MK Nagpal, granted him bail saying that there is no concrete evidence against him of being involved in the so-called liquor policy case. Now, after a year, and two years of ED’s investigation of the alleged liquor policy scam, the ED decided to arrest him,” Saurabh stated.
“This is being made into a huge news, as if someone big has been arrested. It was his number after Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Why is it being telecast a such a breaking news? It is because the ED has no evidence to take the matter further, they can only make noise to convince people that a scam has been done. The only evidence based on which Charanpreet Singh has been arrested is that there is a Hawala operator in Gujarat who has written Charanpreet’s name in Gujarati on the notes. It is being repeatedly said that the money was sent from South to Delhi, and Delhi to Goa.”
If their accusations are right, then what was the money doing Gujarat? Why was an operator writing about it on the notes in Gujarati? And since when did the court started considering handwritten entries as proof? Everyone is aware about the Sahara Builder Diary. Many verdicts in the Supreme Court have dismissed such entries. If such entries in diaries were considered as evidence, then even the PM Shri Narendra Modi would have been enquired during his CM tenure in Gujarat, when his name was mentioned across some transactions in a diary. But the Supreme Court dismissed such entries, he stated.
Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj continued, “Second, there is a woman who has worked with the BJP’s CM in Goa and has witnessed their Goa campaign. She has stated that Charanpreet Singh has given him some money in cash. The CBI record itself states that Charanpreet Singh works as a freelancer, and has worked for various parties, including the Congress, the Trinamool Congress, and even the BJP.”
The AAP senior leader also clarified that the last campaign that he worked on was the PM’s campaign ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’. He said that it is proved that the BJP will go to any extent to prove Shri Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP as corrupt. And under this conspiracy, they try and run some or the other new trick every day, by running some or the other news. Their desperation is continuously increasing because despite their conspiracy of arresting our senior leaders, including the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Satyendar Jain, and even Shri Sanjay Singh, the ED and the CBI have been unable to find any concrete evidence after two years of investigation, he concluded.
