New Delhi, April 16;
In a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Aam Aadmi Party senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh said the PM is justifying electoral bonds despite the Supreme Court declaring them unconstitutional and illegal. The electoral bond mega scam is the biggest scam of independent India and Modi ji is standing in its favour, said the AAP leader.
Shri Sanjay Singh said in an interview to a TV news channel telecast on Monday, Modi ji is also openly supporting the corruption done by the BJP through electoral bonds. For this, he should apologize to the Supreme Court and the people of the country. Now this matter has come to the fore in front of the entire country that one day the BJP took bribe from companies and the next day Modi ji gave them contracts worth crores of rupees. He said in the interview, the Prime Minister did not say anything on the issues related to the public, including black money, inflation, unemployment, MSP and Agniveer, while the people are struggling with these problems. Therefore, like in 2014, this time also Modi ji should challenge the public to check the prices of diesel, petrol, LPG cylinder, wheat and paddy before leaving their homes for voting.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here today, Shri Sanjay Singh said that the most surprising and shocking thing in PM Modi’s interview was that the Prime Minister of the country was openly defending the big scam that took place after independence. PM Modi is defending the bribe taken by the BJP through electoral bonds. The BJP is immersed from head to toe in the mega scam of electoral bonds and the Prime Minister of the country is openly standing in favour of it.
The Rajya Sabha MP said a constitutional bench of five judges of the Supreme Court of India declared electoral bonds unconstitutional and illegal and not any political party. By defending electoral bonds, the Prime Minister has insulted the decision of the Supreme Court. The Prime Minister should apologize to the Supreme Court for criticizing its decision and apologize to the nation for defending the corruption done by the BJP through electoral bonds.
Shri Sanjay Singh said that Modi ji’s party, BJP, openly took bribe through electoral bonds. The Prime Minister has tried three times to prevent the big scam of electoral bonds from being exposed. We thank the Supreme Court for ordering the money taken from electoral bonds to be made public before the people of the country. After the information about the electoral bonds became public, it became clear to the entire country that how much bribe has been taken by BJP from which company. The BJP is the most corrupt party of independent India and the BJP government at the Centre is the most corrupt government in the country. The Prime Minister himself has proved this by standing in favour of electoral bonds.
He said that it is surprising that the Prime Minister is speaking against the order of the Supreme Court. The Prime Minister is outright lying on camera. Although this is not a surprise, the entire BJP people are experts in lying. The name of Modi ji’s party is Bharatiya Jhoota Party. Modi ji’s party BJP alone has got 65 percent of the money, the BJP alone has received 65 percent of the bribe amount through electoral bonds.
The AAP senior leader said that the money trail (in the liquor scam) has also been caught. The BJP has taken Rs 60 crore from liquor scam mastermind Sarath Reddy. The Prime Minister and his party are involved in the liquor scam, the BJP has taken bribe. Even after the details of so many companies have become public, the Prime Minister is shamelessly defending his party. The BJP is taking bribe from companies one day and the next day Modi government is giving contracts to it. This is a coincidence and an accident. “Is this a coincidence or an open game of bribery and corruption. Modi ji should tell the people of the country. The Modi government got ED, CBI raids on companies. The BJP took donations from the companies on which raids were conducted. Despite this, he is defending the BJP,” said Shri Sanjay Singh.
The Rajya Sabha MP said how much evidence do the ED and the CBI need for investigation? Till now the BJP leaders have not been questioned nor have the companies giving electoral bonds been questioned. Why should the ED, the CBI not interrogate the companies giving electoral bonds and find out why they bribed the BJP and how they got big contracts. “Sarath Reddy was arrested, yet he donated Rs 60 crore to the BJP. Sarath Reddy was the main accused in the liquor scam,” he said.
Shri Sanjay Singh said the Prime Minister has also proved that his government has not done any work for the people of the country in the last 10 years. In the interview, the Prime Minister did not say anything on unemployment and inflation. Under the Modi government, the prices of diesel, petrol, mustard oil and other food items have skyrocketed, but the PM did not say a word on inflation. The poor are suffering badly due to inflation and Modi ji is silent on it. Modi ji did not say anything about Agniveer (scheme), did not say anything on MSP. More than 750 farmers lost their lives for their demand for MSP. What happened to the promise of double income of farmers? What happened to the pucca house? What happened to black money? The Prime Minister waived off Rs 15 lakh crore of his capitalist friends. Modi ji waived off Rs 3.53 lakh crore through settlement of a few capitalist friends. Only five kilos of ration came to the people of the country. He gave a loan of Rs 2.5 lakh crore each to his friends. These people have looted thousands of crores of rupees from Indian banks and are sitting abroad and laughing at the country’s system. The Prime Minister is silent on this, he added.
The AAP leader said that the Prime Minister’s interview on Monday has disappointed the 140 crore people of the country. This interview has exposed the face of the Prime Minister and the BJP in front of the country. Modi ji did not give a single answer on the promises he had made to the people of the country. He said that there was a decision of the Supreme Court on the appointment of the Election Commission. The Prime Minister is pointing fingers at earlier election commissions. If the soul of former Election Commissioner TN Seshan was listening to the Prime Minister, he would be laughing. All parties, including the BJP and the Congress had not questioned the integrity and honesty of former Election Commissioner TN Seshan. The people of the country also appreciated his work. PM Modi wants to appoint such people in the Election Commission who will work as per his wish. Why does the Prime Minister want to appoint election commissioners? Does the Prime Minister not trust the Chief Justice of India? If there had been more people from any political party in the selection committee, the Prime Minister’s objection would have been considered justified. Modi ji has excluded the Chief Justice of India from the selection committee and wants to appoint the Election Commissioner as per his wish by maintaining his majority in the committee, he said.
Sanjay Singh said that the Prime Minister is defending the ED, the CBI. Whom is Modi ji teaching? There are 35 accused in the liquor scam. Modi ji should tell how many people have been arrested in this and are in jail. Modi ji puts three-four political people in jail and releases non-political people after making them government witnesses. Then Modi ji says that we have taken action only against three percent of the leaders. The Prime Minister should tell what is the total conviction rate of the ED? The people of the country should know that the conviction rate of the ED is just 0.5 percent. Whereas the ED has conducted more than 8000 raids in 10 years. The people of the country have come to know about Modi ji’s dictatorship and the BJP’s corruption. The people of the country have come to know that the Prime Minister will not say anything on the issues of inflation, unemployment and farming. “This is what Modi ji used to challenge during the 2014 elections and say that before leaving your house for voting, look at the LPG cylinder. In this election too, the Prime Minister should say that before leaving the house for voting, see the motorcycle, LPG cylinder, wheat and paddy. Then, the farmers, youth and mothers and sisters of the country, who are struggling with inflation, unemployment and problems, will answer,” said the AAP Rajya Sabha MP.
