Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh said the top leadership of the BJP is involved in the conspiracy to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal. He also said the liquor scam has been committed by the BJP after the ED investigation began as confirmed by the money trail through the electoral bonds.
Addressing media persons here, Shri Sanjay Singh said today I am before you to tell you how a conspiracy was hatched to arrest the country’s son, Delhi’s son Arvind Kejriwal. I will give you the details of the conspiracy hatched to arrest the chief minister who gave 2-crore people of Delhi education, healthcare, water, electricity, free bus travel to women. “This liquor scam has been committed by the world’s biggest party, the BJP. It is done with the involvement of big leaders of the BJP,” he said.
The Rajya Sabha MP said there is a person Magunta Reddy, who gave three statements, and his son Raghav Magunta gave seven statements. The father and the son gave 10 statements (to ED). When ED asked him (Magunta Reddy) on September 16, 2022 did he meet Arvind Kejriwal. He said he met Arvind Kejriwal regarding the land for a charitable trust. After that his son Raghav Magunta is arrested and he is put in jail for five months and then he (Magunta Reddy) changes his statement.
Shri Sanjay Singh said a raid is conducted on September 16, 2022 on Magunta Reddy house and till February 10, 2023 he is coerced to give statement against Arvind Kejriwal but he does not give any statement against Shri Arvind Kejriwal. “On February 10, 2023, his son Raghav was arrested. And from February 10 to July 16, 2023, seven statements are taken from Raghav Magunta. During this period, Raghav Reddy is grilled and is asked if he met with Shri Arvind Kejriwal, whether Arvind Kejriwal is involved in liquor scam. Raghav Reddy replies in the negative. But after remaining in jail for five months, he gives up. In the seventh statement on July 16, he changes his stance. After 5 months of torture, Raghav Reddy gives statement against Shri Arvind Kejriwal,” said the senior AAP leader.
The Rajya Sabha MP continued, “But it is quite surprising that Raghav Reddy’s previous six statements and Magunta Reddy’s two statements do not appear in the court and ED puts them away as the ‘unrelied upon documents’. That means the testimony that was not against Shri Arvind Kejriwal, ED says we do not rely on that. After arguments in court by our lawyers that they wanted to see those (unrelied upon) statements, the court grants permission. Our lawyers were shocked to see that in the nine statements of the father and the son, there is no mention of Shri Arvind Kejriwal anywhere. Later, after mounting pressure on the father and the son, ED managed to get testimony against Shri Arvind Kejriwal from them,” he said.
Explaining the nexus between Magunta Reddy and the BJP, Shri Sanjay Singh showed some photographs to the media. “Who is this Magunta Reddy and Raghav Reddy, who were raided by the ED on September 16, 2022 on the charge of being liquor scamsters. Now, I will show you some photographs in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi and MP Magunta Reddy can be seen clasping each other. When Magunta Reddy’s son, Raghav Reddy testified against Shri Arvind Kejriwal and became a part of the BJP’s conspiracy to finish the AAP on July 16, he (Raghav Reddy) got bail on July 18. A person who was investigated by ED and his son was arrested by the ED, for being a liquor scamster. What is this relationship with the Prime Minister? Not only this, but he (Magunta Reddy) is also contesting on the TDP (Telugu Desam Party, an ally in the National Democratic Alliance) ticket and seeking votes from the public with the photograph (in backdrop) of India’s PM,” said the Rajya Sabha MP.
Moving on to the other key approver, who is called the liquor scamster by the BJP and the ED and on whose testimony Shri Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested, Shri Sanjay Singh said, “Now, I come to the issue of how the liquor scam was executed by the BJP. The house of liquor trader Sarath Reddy, whom BJP calls liquor scamster, was raided on November 9, 2022. After the raid, he is asked by the ED about Arvind Kejriwal. He (Sarath Reddy) says that he doesn’t know Arvind Kejriwal and he has never met him, and he (Sarath) is arrested on November 10. He is put in jail till April 25, 2023. During his stay in jail for over five months, he is repeatedly asked to testify against Arvind Kejriwal. But he doesn’t give any statement against Arvind Kejriwal. However, after nearly six months of incarceration, he (Sarath Reddy) buckles under the ED’s pressure and on April 25, he testifies against Arvind Kejriwal. The ED, in total, took his 11 statements during his stay in jail but Arvind Kejriwal’s name never appeared in 10 of the statements. After getting permission from the court, our lawyers examined the documents and found that the 10 documents that had nothing against Arvind Kejriwal were not included by the ED (in its charge sheet) on the ground that they were ‘unrelied upon documents’. And when he (Sarath) gives testimony against Arvind Kejriwal, he gets bail on April 25. Sarath Reddy, who the BJP and the ED call liquor scamster, is put in jail for six months and does not succumb despite the ED pressure to testify against Arvind Kejriwal in his 10 statements, gets bail once he gives statement against Arvind Kejriwal.”
Connecting the dots in the conspiracy behind Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest, the AAP Rajya Sabha MP said the actual scam, the BJP’s liquor scam, began after the ED investigation started in the matter. And the first installment of Rs 5 crore of the bounty reached the BJP on November 15, 2022 and in total, Rs 55 crore bribe (through electoral bonds) was received by the BJP from Sarath Reddy, who was called the kingpin in the liquor scam. “The money trail of Rs 55 crore was exposed when the Supreme Court ordered to post the details. So, all the details were posted on the website at 18:50 hours on March 21 by the BJP under compulsion. The BJP was compelled to post the details of Sarath Reddy, who the BJP called the kingpin of the liquor scam. Immediately after the BJP’s liquor scam gets exposed, the house of Arvind Kejriwal is raided at 19:14 hours. To divert the attention of the public from the BJP’s liquor scam getting exposed, Arvind Kejriwal was arrested after two and half hours of interrogation,” he said.
Shri Sanjay Singh said in fact, it is a BJP’s scam which took place after the ED started investigation and in a deep conspiracy against Delhi Chief Minister, the case was built upon unfounded statements taken under coercion by the ED and by hiding the statements that were not against Arvind Kejriwal has ‘unrelied upon documents’.
The Rajya Sabha MP said, “So, I want to tell the people of the country that your chief minister, your leader, your son Shri Arvind Kejriwal has lived all his life and is living with 100% honesty. Arvind Kejriwal has been unblemished and will never be tainted. His only crime is that he is working to provide good education to children in Delhi; giving free bus rides to women and arranging for them Rs 1000 per month financial aid; arranging free pilgrimage for the senior citizens; giving free electricity and free water. Shri Arvind Kejriwal, who is running the best government in the world, has been arrested under a conspiracy. All these statements (in the liquor scam) prove that it is a conspiracy.”
