The Aam Aadmi Party has slammed the BJP for threatening one of its cabinet ministers to switch over or face the consequences as a part of its continuing ‘Operation Lotus’ to topple the AAP government in Delhi. Senior AAP leader Atishi has received an offer to either join the BJP or face arrest.

Addressing media persons, senior AAP leader and MLA Shri Dilip Pandey stated that the BJP has failed time and again in making ‘Operation Lotus’ successful in Delhi. Despite repeated failures, they’re not stopping their efforts in poaching our MLAs and leaders by threatening them or luring them with money and position. Another shocking fact that has come to light today in this sequence is yet another instance which has proven the predictions of the AAP to be true. “The BJP people have also approached Delhi’s Cabinet Minister Ms. Atishi. They told her that if the senior leaders and the Chief Minister of the AAP can be arrested without any evidence, then it leaves you with no choice. The only way to save yourself and your career is to join the BJP,” said Dilip Pandey.

He said the problem arose when the calculations of the BJP failed. Their political calculation that the AAP should have collapsed after the arrest of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal fell flat on the face. They thought they had signed the death note of the AAP by arresting him. They were knocked out of their senses when they saw millions of people revolting against the dictatorial attitude of the BJP and in support of the AAP National Convenor at the Ramlila Maidan, Dilip Pandey stated.

“They thought now that they have arrested all the first line and second line leadership of the AAP, the party would crumble to its end. However, they missed out the fact that each minister, every MLA, every councillor, and worker of the AAP has pledged to bring changes in the country and to serve the nation. Each person in the AAP has given up his name and glory, we have all joined the cause with a shroud over our head,” Shri Dilip Pandey said.

He further added how the word on the street is that the BJP is now planning to arrest other senior leaders now that the arrests of Shri Satyendar Jain, Shri Sanjay Singh, Shri Manish Sisodia, and Shri Arvind Kejriwal has not broken the morale of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Shri Dilip Pandey said, “We have learnt that they will start arresting the leaders next in line one by one. They will start raiding their properties from the next month. As per reports, Ms. Atishi, Shri Raghav Chadha, Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Shri Durgesh Pathak will be arrested one by one. The BJP didn’t need any evidence then, they would not need any evidence now.”

“The BJP leaders very shamelessly come and go, without answering the question that why they took Rs 60 crore from Sarath Chandra Reddy, the prime accused in the so-called liquor policy scam. Another accused (Magunta Reddy) in the same case has been given a ticket from the NDA in the upcoming elections,” Shri Dilip Pandey stated.

The AAP national spokesperson said that frustration of the BJP increased further when they saw the steadfast support of people of Delhi for their brother, their son, and their well-wishing Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal. The arrest of Shri Arvind Kejriwal has led to outrage amongst the public and they showed their anger when they marched towards Ramlila Maidan for the mega rally. The BJP has now realized that it is not so easy to finish off the AAP, said Shri Dilip Pandey.

Addressing the BJP, Shri Dilip Pandey stated, “No matter what you do, it would not be sufficient to break the morale of the Aam Aadmi Party. We are ardent followers of Baba Saheb (Ambedkar) and Bhagat Singh, we are the army of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Once we pledge something, we stand by it. We have always been and will be fighting against injustice, no matter what. We will keep serving the citizens of Delhi and the country. We will fight against the dictatorial rule of the BJP,” he said.
