The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday revealed the real motive of the BJP behind sending Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to jail. Senior AAP leader Shri Jasmine Shah said that BJP wants to impose President’s rule in Delhi by poaching the Aam Aadmi Party MLAs. To fulfill this objective, some BJP people met our MLA Shri Rituraj Jha on Sunday and offered him Rs 25 crore if he left the AAP and joined the BJP. Besides this, he was also asked to bring along other MLAs if he wanted to become a minister.
Addressing a press conference, Shri Jasmine Shah stated that when the ED did not find anything in the interrogation of CM Arvind Kejriwal, the BJP has started its ‘Operation Lotus’. The facts that MLA Rituraj Jha put before the country through the Delhi Assembly proves the real motive of the ED to keep Arvind Kejriwal in jail for a long time.
Shri Jasmine Shah said that AAP MLA Rituraj Jha had gone to a public function organized in Daryapur on Sunday. There, a few BJP people met him and made a direct offer saying take Rs 25 crore and join the BJP. If we can put your National Convenor, Arvind Kejriwal in jail without any evidence, then who are you. It is better if you join the BJP yourself, otherwise we will leave the ED, CBI after you. He gave another offer to the AAP MLA and said that if he brings 10 more MLAs with him, he will also make him a minister. Anyway, now President’s rule is going to be imposed in Delhi. After this, MLA Rituraj Jha also received a call from him on Monday morning.
AAP leader Jasmine Shah said that those who made the offer to the MLA were not senior functionaries of the BJP but lower-level leaders who are directly offering crores of rupees to the MLA and promising him the position of a minister. It has become well known and the country has also heard many times how ‘Operation Lotus’ is going on continuously in Delhi. Many such incidents have been heard in the past also. But what MLA Rituraj Jha put before the country proves the real motive of the ED behind arresting Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
The senior AAP leader said that now the objective of the BJP and the ED is clearly understood. When despite the full cooperation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the ED did not get anything, then this game was started. They feel that President’s rule will be imposed by putting Arvind Kejriwal in jail, threatening the MLAs, poaching them, buying them and offering them to become ministers. The strategy of the BJP and the ED to send Arvind Kejriwal in judicial custody for 15 more days is now clearly understood.
Answering the media’s questions, Shri Jasmine Shah said since CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested, not a single day has passed when the BJP leaders have not said that Arvind Kejriwal should resign immediately. The BJP is planning to impose President’s rule in Delhi. Some people of BJP had even reached Delhi High Court to file a PIL demanding immediate dismissal of the sitting Chief Minister saying how can he run the government from jail, but they had to face defeat in the High Court. The court said that he is the elected Chief Minister of Delhi, who has won 62 out of 70 seats. Who are we to remove them? The Constitution also says that it is the responsibility of the elected Chief Minister, who has not been proven guilty, to serve Delhi. No matter how many days these people keep Arvind Kejriwal in jail, he will remain the Chief Minister. These people can make as many calls as they want and give offers. Not a single MLA of Aam Aadmi Party is going to defect, he added.
