All the links of the web woven by the BJP to implicate Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal in the so-called liquor scam are now being revealed to the country. Senior AAP leader Shri Jasmine Shah on Saturday put these links in front of the country and revealed how the BJP ran the scheme of “Trap Kejriwal, get freedom from jail” by extracting false statements from the accused government witnesses and made them the beneficiary of this scheme.
Shri Jasmine Shah said Sarath Chandra Reddy became the first beneficiary of this scheme of the BJP. The BJP first called Sarath Reddy the kingpin of the liquor scam, then got him arrested and kept him in jail for several months. After this, Sarath Reddy gave a statement against CM Arvind Kejriwal and got bail by donating Rs 55 crores to the BJP. Similarly, the BJP’s ally TDP has given ticket to co-accused and government witness Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy, who testified against CM Kejriwal. All these people are directly connected to the BJP. It can be said that a bigger fake case than this would never have happened in independent India, he added.
Addressing media persons, Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Shri Jasmine Shah said, “Ever since BJP’s ED arrested Arvind Kejriwal ji illegally in a fake case, the whole country is watching how revelations are being made every day and facts are coming out every day which make it clear that the entire case is fake. This entire case is falling like a pack of cards in front of the nation.”
Shri Jasmine Shahd said a few days ago, we told you that there is no evidence in the entire ED case, there is no money trail. This case has been based only on the statements of government witnesses who are called approvers. Arvind Kejriwal himself presented his case before the honourable judge in the court and clearly said that in this entire case, CBI has filed a charge sheet of 31000 pages and ED has filed a charge sheet of 25000 pages. But in all these papers, there are only four such statements in which Arvind Kejriwal’s name is mentioned and based on only these statements, Shri Arvind Kejriwal was arrested, he said.
The AAP senior leader said the people who made these statements did not make them with their consent. The BJP goes around saying that we have created many beneficiaries in the country. These people (who gave statements against Shri Arvind Kejriwal) are beneficiaries of the scheme of the BJP. Now these people (BJP) have been exposed in front of the country that the actual scheme they had run was to trap Kejriwal and get freedom from jail (Kejriwal ko fasao, jail se azadi pao). “Sarath Reddy turned out to be the first beneficiary of this scheme. The BJP’s ED declared him the kingpin of this entire alleged liquor scam, arrested him and kept him in jail for 6 months. Didn’t give him any bail. Till then, he had been giving the statement that he had never met Kejriwal ji and he never had anything to do with him (Arvind Kejriwal). But when he gets tired, gives up and gives a statement against Kejriwal ji, he immediately gets freedom. And secondly, the BJP also gets Rs 55 crore from him through electoral bonds. This thing is already in public domain,” said the vice chairpersons, DDC.
Shri Jasmine Shah said but today the Aam Aadmi Party is exposing the new fact that came to fore yesterday that among the four people on whose statement Kejriwal ji has been arrested, two are a father and a son. “The father’s name is Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy and son’s name is Raghav Magunta Reddy. The father is a politician and has been MP from Andhra Pradesh four times and his son Raghav Reddy is a businessman. Arvind ji gave his statement that Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy (MSR) had come to meet him with a formal appointment in March 2021. All this is on record. And why did he (MSR) come to meet (Arvind Kejriwal) in March 2021? The policy was not even made in March 2021, the policy was implemented in November 2021. But the only time he (the MP) met on record was in March 2021 and he said directly that he wanted land for his family trust in Delhi. And Arvind Kejriwal ji clearly said that the matter of land comes under the Lieutenant Governor. Since you have come to formally meet me as an MP, please give me a request and I will forward it to LG. That’s all that happened between them. After this nothing happens till September 2022. In September 2022, when ED and CBI come into the boxing ring and start closing in on everyone, then in this series the house of the father-son is raided. ED conducts a raid to investigate the alleged liquor scam on 16 September 2022 and when the raid is conducted _ the father and the son have become government witnesses now _ both of them say that this alleged liquor scam has no basis. Arvind Kejriwal ji has no role in this; nor did we have any transaction. We were just doing our work. So that means a very clear statement was given and no statement was given anywhere against Arvind Kejriwal ji. And a few months pass, obviously ED is not happy. So, what does ED do? In February 2023, it arrests his son Raghav Magunta Reddy. Then again, their statement is recorded and then both father and son again say that no, Arvind Kejriwal ji has no role, and no liquor scam took place in Delhi,” said the VC, DDC.
Not getting any statement against Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Jasmine Shah said, the ED is not happy again. The purpose for which it (ED) was sent from the BJP headquarters is not served. So, the ED imprisons the son of a rich father, the son of a big politician of Andhra Pradesh in jail for 5 months because till now he is not giving any statement against Arvind Kejriwal. “What happens is the same story of every government witness, the same thing happened here also. On July 16, 2023, Raghav Magunta Reddy gives a statement against Arvind Kejriwal and his father Srinivasulu Reddy also gives a statement against Arvind Kejriwal. As soon as they give their statements, the son gets bail within two days. They become government witnesses,” he said.
The AAP senior leader said this whole thing is shocking but what is now known is that yesterday Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy gets NDA ticket from the Telugu Desam Party, which is the partner of BJP’s NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh. Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, co-accused in the liquor scam and who became a government approver, gets the ticket. “This means, now MSR, who is accused of liquor scam and has given statement against Kejriwal ji, will ask for votes in the name of Modi ji in Andhra Pradesh and Modi ji will also go and say that Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy is the most wonderful person and vote for him. This is the drama going on in the country,” he said.
Shri Jasmine Shah said the conspiracy being hatched through the entire case to destroy the Aam Aadmi Party is getting exposed. What fact comes out is that Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy has given a total of three statements between September 2022 and July 2023 to the ED. Out of these, the first two statements are given in which there is nothing against Arvind Kejriwal ji. It is said that he has no role, no liquor scam took place. And in the third statement, because now the son is rotting in jail for 5 months, he takes the name of Arvind Kejriwal and gives statements against him. “Now the surprising thing is that in the charge sheet presented by the ED in the court, there is no mention of these two statements. Only the last statement, when the son is rotting in jail for 5 months, the father and the son have lost courage and, in that situation, the statement which was made from them is presented before the court. It is a very strange investigative agency that is trying to hide the fraud so openly. Everyone knows, all the lawyers know, those who are dealing with the case, everyone knows that three statements were given and only one statement is part of the charge sheet,” he said.
The senior AAP leader said that the same thing happened with son Raghav Magunta Reddy’s statements. “He gives 7 statements under Section 30 of PMLA and out of these seven statements, in the first 6 statements he says that he never met Arvind Kejriwal anywhere, he has nothing to do with him, no liquor scam took place. What happens is that after being put in jail for 5 months, on 16th July, the seventh statement comes in which the name of Arvind Kejriwal is taken. And what does ED do? The first 6 statements are completely missing and are not part of the charge sheet. The first 6 statements are not presented before the court, only the seventh statement is included in the entire charge sheet by these people,” he said.
Shri Jasmine Shah further said that how the entire case has been built by the ED first on the statement of Sarath Reddy and now on the basis of the statements by father Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy and son Raghav Reddy. “Based on the statements of these three people, puts in jail Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the sitting Chief Minister and national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, one of the top three parties in the country. So, I say this again that the BJP is not trying to seek votes from the beneficiaries of any other scheme in this Lok Sabha election. Their biggest achievement in the last so many years has been their scheme ‘Kejriwal ko fasao, jail se azadi pao’ (Trap Kejriwal, get freedom from jail),” he said.
The senior AAP leader further said when it comes to Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy, one more thing is added to the BJP’s ‘labharthi’ (beneficiary) scheme is ‘Trap Kejriwal, get freedom from jail and also get BJP (NDA) ticket. “I don’t think that a bigger fake case than this, and the complete conspiracy that is being hatched, would have ever happened in independent India. That you are putting the top four leaders of one of the biggest parties of a country in jail because of the statements of the people who have direct connection with the BJP. One (Sarath Reddy) turns out to be a BJP donor and the other one (MSR) gets the ticket from the BJP’s alliance partner,” he said.
Shri Jasmine Shah said the whole truth has come before the country, the people of the country will decide _ the court will decide, all the facts will be placed before the court _ but the people of the country will also decide. “This dictatorship has reached such extremes in this country that every veil has been lifted. Despite this, the BJP says that they will arrest Kejriwal ji and keep him in jail,” he said.
