On a call given by the Aam Aadmi Party to save the democracy and Constitution of the country, Ramlila Maidan is fully prepared for the mega rally of INDIA alliance on Sunday, the 31st of March. In the Maha rally, the whole of INDIA alliance will join hands with the public and raise its voice against the dictatorship of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
On Saturday, AAP’s Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai visited Ramlila Maidan to inspect the progress of the preparations. He said that the rally will be joined by dozens of prominent leaders from various political parties, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi from Congress, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Jharkhand CM Champai Soren, Sharad Pawar from NCP, Uddhav Thackeray from Shiv Sena, Akhilesh Yadav from SP, Tejashwi Yadav from RJD and other Left leaders.
Shri Gopal Rai said this is the last chance to save the country’s constitution and democracy. If the people of the country do not raise their voice today then no one will be able to raise their voice tomorrow. He said, BJP first snatched away the rights given by the Supreme Court from the people of Delhi and now it has snatched away their Chief Minister. There is anger among the people regarding the arrest of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, added the AAP Delhi State Convenor.
AAP’s Senior Cabinet Minister Shri Gopal Rai, who reached Ramlila Maidan to take stock of the preparations for the Maha rally, said that the way Delhi’s elected Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested, the Prime Minister of the country has adopted a dictatorial attitude. There is anger against him among the people of entire Delhi. Democracy is being murdered all over the country. The entire INDIA alliance is reaching the mega rally “Remove Dictatorship, Save Democracy” at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday against the dictatorial rule, murder of democracy, and the misuse of constitutional agencies. It will include all the constituent parties of the alliance along with the top leadership of other opposition parties who will join hands with the people of Delhi to raise their voice against this dictatorship and to save democracy.
He said democracy is being suppressed in the country the way opposition leaders are being arrested continuously across the country, they are being targeted through agencies, an elected Chief Minister is picked up and put in jail only on the basis of allegations. The whole game of suppressing democracy is going on.
He said people from INDIA alliance are coming from all over the country to the Ramlila Maidan on Sunday against this. Today, the Constitution and democracy are being murdered. Constitutional agencies are being misused. People’s voices are being silenced in different ways. In such a situation, it has become necessary to save democracy by removing the dictatorial government. The people of Delhi saw how the Central Government took away the rights given to the people of Delhi by the Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court. The BJP ruled central government first snatched away the rights of the people of Delhi and now snatched away the Chief Minister of Delhi, said the AAP senior leader.
AAP’s Delhi State Convener Shri Gopal Rai said that this is the last chance to save the Constitution and democracy in this country. Considering the situation that is arising at this time, if these are not opposed now then tomorrow no one will be able to raise their voice in this country. It is expected that public will join the movement on Sunday in huge numbers.
“The main names that have been confirmed so far include leaders from the Congress Party, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, Shri Rahul Gandhi, Ms. Sonia Gandhi. From Maharashtra, Shri Sharad Pawar and Shri Uddhav Thackeray are joining the rally. Shri Akhilesh Yadav from UP and Shri Tejashwi Yadav from Bihar will also be in attendance. Derek O’Brien will join as the representative of Mamata Banerjee from West Bengal. Various MPs of DMK from South will also be a part of this rally. Our Punjab CM Shri Bhagwant Mann will also be participating in the rally. Jharkhand CM Shri Champai Soren will also be joining along with Ms. Kalpana Soren. Dr Farooq Abdullah and prominent left party MPs such as Shri Sitaram Yechury, Shri D. Raja, and Shri Dipankar Bhattacharya, among others will also be in attendance,” he stated.
When will ED send summons to BJP National President JP Nadda?: Gopal Rai
On being asked about the new summons to Minister Shri Kailash Gahlot in the alleged excise policy scam, Shri Gopal Rai stated that it has become a habit of the ED to send summonses to AAP leaders on daily basis. The nation wants to know when will the prime accused in this case Sarath Chandra Reddy and National President of the BJP J P Nadda be served summonses?
