Expressing deep concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party has decided to gherao the Pandav Nagar police station on Monday in the wake of rape of a 4-year-old girl from the locality.
Senior AAP leader and MLA Shri Kuldeep Kumar, along with leader Reena Gupta, held a joint press conference on the deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party expressed concern over the rape of 4-year-old girl in Pandav Nagar, and announced that the AAP would make every possible effort to ensure that the victim and the family get justice. The AAP leaders demanded strictest possible against the culprit.
Kondli MLA Shri Kuldeep Kumar, who is also the AAP Lok Sabha candidate from East Delhi, stated, “The law and order situation in Delhi is continuously collapsing. Incidents like murder, extortion, rape and theft are increasing day by day. Now another case has come to light in which a 4-year-old girl from Pandav Nagar was raped. It is saddening that the Delhi Police is more involved in checking the movement of the Aam Aadmi Party rather than fulfilling their duty of safeguarding the citizens of Delhi. The LG should worry about the safety of the people of Delhi, visit the police stations at night, and provide a safe environment to the people of Delhi instead of targeting the AAP.”
MLA Kuldeep Kumar said sisters and daughters are being raped in Delhi and Union Home Minister, LG, BJP MPs are fast asleep.
Announcing demonstration at the Pandav Nagar station tomorrow, the AAP leader stated, “We will gather around the Pandav Nagar station tomorrow at 4 pm to demand justice for the 4-year-old victim. We will support the victim’s family in every way possible.”
AAP leader Ms. Reena Gupta stated, “The law and order system is under the Home Minister Shri Amit Shah for the last 10 years and the Delhi Police reports directly to him. If Delhi is called the rape capital of the world, then Amit Shah is responsible for it. On an average, three girls and women get raped every day in Delhi as per the NCRB, irrespective of their age. The BJP is responsible for making Delhi the most unsafe metropolitan city in the country.”
Addressing PM Modi and HM Amit Shah, Reena Shah stated, “We have zero expectations from you, you should give the responsibility of women safety to the AAP. We will protect them. Shri Arvind Kejriwal has already installed CCTV cameras across Delhi, deployed bus Marshalls for women safety, and reduced the dark spots on the streets. On the contrary, you shelter the criminals accused of rape.”
Ms. Reena Gupta further demanded strictest possible action against the culprit in the Pandav Nagar case. She also demanded immediate resignation of the LG if he cannot improve the law and order situation in Delhi.
