The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has sounded the alarm bells for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with its declaration that the arrest of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal is a harbinger of the BJP’s forthcoming downfall in the looming Lok Sabha elections. Senior AAP leader Dilip Pandey has emphatically stated that the BJP’s decision to apprehend CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal not only reflects its apprehension about the impending electoral defeat but also exposes its political hubris in targeting the nation’s most esteemed Chief Minister. The AAP leader asked the BJP to grasp the reality that arresting AAP’s top leadership will not obliterate the party, emphasizing that Kejriwal symbolizes an ideology rather than just an individual. This move, he cautioned, would stand as the BJP’s gravest political miscalculation to date. With this arrest, the BJP has recklessly toyed with the sentiments of the people of Delhi. The people, Shri Dilip Pandey affirmed, are poised to retaliate against the BJP resoundingly in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MLA Dilip Pandey, addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, stated that the entire country has witnessed how the BJP-led central government has arrested the nation’s most popular Chief Minister, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, thereby showcasing their political arrogance. By arresting Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the BJP has not only indicated its fear of losing in the Lok Sabha elections but also made it explicit. The anxiety, nervousness, and haste of BJP leaders are evident from the actions of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), despite the matter being sub judice in court, and despite directives and dates being received from the court. The arrest of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal has been done to quench BJP’s political arrogance, now the whole country is well aware.
The AAP leader further added that the BJP has made significant mistakes in its political history. However, arresting the nation’s most popular Chief Minister and the head of a popular government in the country would be BJP’s biggest political blunder of the ‘never before, never again’ type. In a blatant disregard for constitutional norms, the National Convenor of a national party is arbitrarily arrested overnight without any evidence. This indicates that if the central government, BJP, or PM Narendra Modi fears anyone, who is sinking BJP’s future into an abyss, it’s Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
“If BJP is under any misconception that by arresting Shri Arvind Kejriwal and top leaders of the party, they can eliminate AAP and Shri Arvind Kejriwal, then it would be better for their political health to dispel this misconception as soon as possible. Many have tried many times to read the elegy of the AAP, but the AAP and its leader Shri Arvind Kejriwal are not just an organization or an individual,” he added.
“Shri Arvind Kejriwal is a symbol of an ideology that champions staunch honesty and patriotism, considering politics merely as a means of public service. You cannot arrest this ideology. You cannot arrest the idea named Arvind Kejriwal. This idea has reached Punjab, Gujarat, and Goa after Delhi. Now it has reached every corner of the country. You arrested one Arvind Kejriwal, and today hundreds of thousands of Kejriwal are standing on the streets of Delhi, confronting your police sent to protect that idea,” The AAP MLA stated.
Shri Dilip Pandey, “What kind of anxiety is within the BJP? The troubles that the BJP has given to the people of Delhi and the country are not going to diminish. The nation is watching your arrogance. You have arrested Shri Hemant Soren from Jharkhand, frozen the accounts of the Congress, arrested AAP Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh, arrested the most popular Education Minister of the country, Shri Manish Sisodia, Shri Satyendar Jain who gave the world-famous Mohalla Clinic to the country. After all this, arresting Shri Arvind Kejriwal will prove to be your biggest and final political mistake.”
The AAP leader conveyed to the BJP that the voice of opposition heard on the streets of Delhi today is the voice emanating from pain. The pain you inflicted on the people of Delhi by laying hands on their beloved leader and the manipulation you did with their emotions. BJP should understand well that in the upcoming elections, the nation, Delhi, Punjab, and Gujarat will slap hard on the faces tainted with your political arrogance.
“We want to tell BJP people that raids by the ED as per your instructions and the script, did not yield any recovery, not even a penny’s worth. The people of Delhi and the country will settle the score for the arrests made by the ED at the behest of the BJP in the upcoming elections,” the AAP MLA mentioned.
“The people of the Aam Aadmi Party, the people of Delhi and Punjab, are worried about the security of their beloved Chief Minister. We are concerned about compromising his safety. The CM has been provided with Z-plus security. We are concerned that we and the entire country have seen how low the BJP can stoop for its political satisfaction. Therefore, if there is even a little shame left, information about the security related to Shri Arvind Kejriwal should be provided to his family and supporters,” Shri Dilip Pandey concluded.
