AAP senior leader and Delhi Cabinet Minister Atishi today said as the sole aim of the BJP is to put AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail, the BJP’s Enforcement Directorate has sent yet another summon in the so-called liquor scam without awaiting court’s decision, and also sent a summons in a fabricated Delhi Jal Board (DJB) scam.
Addressing a press conference, she said yesterday, AAP convenor and Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal appeared personally in the Rouse Avenue Court yesterday. The court granted him bail, and now there will be argument in the court regarding the legitimacy of the ED summons. However, without awaiting the court’s decision, the BJP’s ED has again sent summons to Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged liquor scam case as well as in a fake DJB case.
Senior AAP leader and Delhi Cabinet Minister Atishi said as Modi’s aim to arrest Arvind Kejriwal in the fake excise policy case is not being fulfilled, so a new fabricated case has been created. Even in a case where no investigation is going on and which is 100% fabricated, CM Kejriwal has been summoned. Because Modi and his goon, the ED, do not bother about legal process; their sole aim is to prevent CM Arvind Kejriwal from campaigning in elections by arresting him.
Atishi said that nowadays, the ED and CBI act as Modi’s henchmen, targeting his opponents. The Modi Govt use the ED, CBI, and Income Tax Department only to eliminate Modi’s opponents. These goons of Modi have systematically targeted opposition parties one by one; it is clear even in the electoral bonds case that the ED, CBI, and IT department were running an extortion racket together. Now, just before the Lok Sabha elections, Modi wants to arrest Arvind Kejriwal through his goon ED.
Atishi said that Arvind Kejriwal personally appeared in the Rouse Avenue Court yesterday. He had informed the court three weeks ago that as soon as the budget session ends, he would immediately appear before the court. Because the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal adhere to legal procedures, Arvind Kejriwal appeared in court on the specified date and shut the mouths of all BJP leaders who were repeatedly claiming that Arvind Kejriwal was running away from the court, avoiding the ED. The court also granted bail to Kejriwal, she added.
The Delhi Cabinet Minister said that now the legal process will proceed, there will be arguments on the case, and the court will examine whether the summonses sent by the ED to CM Arvind Kejriwal are legal or illegal. Whether Arvind Kejriwal will have to appear before the ED on the basis of those summonses or not will also be decided in the court. Now the entire issue will be subject to legal arguments, she said.
Atishi said but the BJP and Modi do not respect the judicial process. They are not waiting for the outcome of the legal process, or the court’s decision. For them, the court holds no significance, the investigation holds no significance, the truth holds no significance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s only concern is to somehow put Arvind Kejriwal in jail before the elections and prevent him from campaigning. This is the only aim of Modi, his Bharatiya Janata Party, and his ED and CBI.
Atishi said that is why without waiting for the judicial process to end in the case that is before the court, just a few hours later last evening, Arvind Kejriwal was sent another summons by Modi’s ED. Not only has Kejriwal been summoned in the excise policy case, but he has also been summoned in another fake case related to the Jal Board. Because Modi feels that perhaps his aim of arresting Kejriwal in the fake excise policy case is not being fulfilled completely.
Senior AAP leader said there is a case about which till date we have not even known, what investigation is being done in it, what is the so-called scam in it? What case has ED registered in this? And in this 100% fake case too, yesterday Modi ji’s ED sent summons to Kejriwal ji, she added.
Atishi said, “What kind of hooliganism is this? Nowadays, the ED and CBI have become Modi’s two goons. Those who oppose Modi, the ED and CBI chase them. We have seen how these two goons of Modi have systematically targeted opposition parties one by one. And now, when the electoral bonds case has come to light, it is also clear that Modi’s goons were running an extortion racket together through the ED, CBI, and IT department. First, companies were summoned by them, and then, just like goons demand money weekly, the same way, money was demanded from those companies through electoral bonds.”
She said, “Today, it has become absolutely clear that the ED, CBI, and Income Tax Department are Modi’s goons. They are being used only to eliminate Modi’s opponents. And now, just before the elections, Modi wants to arrest Arvind Kejriwal through his goons at the ED.”
