Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party of repeatedly conspiring to bring down the elected government in Delhi, AAP’s Chief Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar stated that just as Ravana assumed another form to abduct Mother Sita in the ‘Ramayana’, today the BJP under the guise of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is going all out to arrest Shri Arvind Kejriwal in a fake liquor scam with an aim to topple ‘AAP’ government in Delhi.
In a press conference on Saturday, the AAP’s Chief Spokesperson affirmed that both God and the people of Delhi staunchly stand by Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Any attempt by the BJP to dislodge the ‘AAP’ government will undoubtedly result in severe repercussions in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The AAP’s Chief Spokesperson said as the BJP cannot compete with Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s policies and has been consistently unsuccessful in winning elections in Delhi, the BJP has been repeatedly conspiring to overthrow the AAP’s government. “The BJP has not been able to provide electricity even for 24 hours in any of its states so far. Offering free electricity is a distant thing. The BJP has been consistently unsuccessful in winning elections in Delhi and losing to Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Therefore, in the past 9 years, the BJP has resorted to very various conspiracies to overthrow the AAP’s government,” she said.
Priyanka Kakkar said once, the BJP declared 21 of AAP’s MLAs ineligible, even though it did not have the power to do so. The BJP has no connection with the people’s welfare; it is only attracted to power. But Shri Arvind Kejriwal has never succumbed to these BJP conspiracies, tirelessly working for the people of Delhi, earning immense love from them, she added.
The AAP’s Chief spokesperson mentioned, “In the Ramayana, Ravana disguised to abduct Mother Sita. Similarly, today, the BJP is attempting to arrest Shri Arvind Kejriwal in a so-called liquor scam through the ED and topple the ‘AAP’ government in Delhi. With this intention, the BJP has contacted our 7 MLAs in recent days, claiming that 21 AAP MLAs are in their contact. The BJP has offered our 7 MLAs ₹25 crores each to join them, leaving the ‘AAP.’ According to our investigation, the BJP has contacted 7 MLAs so far, and all of them have rejected the offer. Our MLAs will never join the BJP, leaving the AAP.”
She shared that the BJP has been continuously trying to usurp power in Delhi through deceit because the BJP cannot defeat Shri Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi. In 2013, the BJP also attempted to break the AAP. At that time, the AAP released a sting operation against BJP’s then Vice-President Sher Singh Dagar, in which the BJP offered money to AAP MLAs. “That sting is still available on YouTube. After that, the BJP attempted to buy our MLAs in 2022, and now in 2024, the BJP is once again trying to buy ‘AAP’ MLAs. This time too, the BJP’s attempt will fail,” said Priyanka Kakkar.
She said the BJP consistently faces defeat from the AAP in Delhi. “The BJP’s attempt this time will also be unsuccessful because God and the people of Delhi are with Shri Arvind Kejriwal, and our MLAs are not for sale. If the BJP attempts deceit or in any way tries to topple the AAP government in Delhi, it will face the consequences in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The remaining ground for the BJP in Delhi will also slip away in the Lok Sabha elections, the AAP’s Chief Spokesperson concluded.
