Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that if we worship Lord Shri Ram, then we will also have to imbibe in our life following the orders of our parents, speaking the truth and following decorum. He was speaking on the occasion of staging of Ramlila, which was witnessed Sunday by a packed hall of the citizens and the entire cabinet and MLAs of Delhi government at the Pearey Lal Bhawan, Delhi.
The Chief Minister started the program by lighting the ceremonial lamp and performing aarti of Lord Shri Ram and prayed for the prosperity, peace and development of the country, including Delhi. Delhi’s Art, Culture and Language Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him a sapling and Angvastram (stole). On this occasion, CM said that we are running our government inside Delhi by taking inspiration from the concept of Ramrajya. Our effort is that no one sleeps hungry in Delhi, every poor gets free ration and every citizen gets security, every person gets 24 hours electricity, drinking water and respect. Now every child in Delhi is getting good education and every person is getting good and free treatment. CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that we should learn from the life of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram to obey your parents and always support the truth.
Addressing the program, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that the consecration of Lord Shri Ram temple is taking place in Ayodhya on Monday. Many people will not be able to go there on Monday even if they want to. I am very happy that the Delhi government has organized a grand Ramlila for the people of Delhi. On this occasion when we are worshiping Lord Shri Ram, we need to take inspiration from his life, thoughts, and words. We must take inspiration from Lord Ram. Maryada Purushottam Ram, on the orders of his father, left his kingdom and went into exile for 14 years. This is no small matter. His coronation was going to happen the very next day after going into exile and he was going to become the king of Ayodhya. In the evening, his father King Dasharatha called Lord Rama. During that time, Mother Kaikeyi was also there. Mother Kaikeyi said that it is your father’s order that you will have to go into exile for 14 years. There was not even the slightest frown on Lord Shri Ram’s face after hearing the order to go to exile. Keeping the orders of his parents in mind, Lord Shri Ram left for exile early the next morning with a smile on his face.
CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that if we worship Lord Shri Ram, then we will also have to imbibe in our life that we should follow the orders of our parents, speak the truth, and follow decorum. Lord Ram was the ruler of Ayodhya, the rule he gave is considered an ideal rule on earth that if there is a rule then it should be like this. We are trying to run our government in Delhi by taking inspiration from the concept of Ram Rajya. We have decided that no one should sleep hungry in Delhi, everyone should get proper ration. If someone is poor, then he is given free ration. We have made night shelters for the homeless people where they can stay, and food is also provided free of cost there. “We have decided that every child should get good education, whether he is a poor child or a rich child. And now good education is also being made available in Delhi. We have decided that every person, be it a poor man or a rich man, should get quality treatment, free treatment. We have decided that electricity should be available to every person. Be it poor or rich, Delhiites get electricity 24 hours a day, they get free electricity. We person should have access to water, drinking water should be available, efforts are being made to extend the availability of water to every corner and water has also been made free,” said Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
He said all the elders in Delhi wish to visit a place of pilgrimage at least once in their life. While many people are unable to go on pilgrimage due to various reasons, Delhi government enables the elderly people go on free pilgrimage. Many steps have been taken in the state to ensure safety of people, including women. The state tries to provide security to everyone.
He said his government believes in equality for all, irrespective of the caste, creed, religion or financial status of the citizen. “And no matter who someone is, whether rich or poor, whether of this caste or that caste, of this religion or that religion, everyone should get equal rights, everyone should get respect. Let everyone live with love. So, we are trying to follow the concept of Ram Rajya. Ram Rajya is a big thing, we are very small but in a way, it is a source of inspiration for us,” he said.
