Kejriwal Government is continuously working towards making the roads of Delhi safer and world-class for commuters. The government’s Public Works Department is continuously taking up the task of strengthening city roads to avoid any inconvenience to the public. Recently, PWD Minister Atishi approved projects to strengthen and upgrade roads in Madipur constituency of West Delhi.
These roads include Rohtak Road (NH-10) service lanes from Metro Pillar 109 to 273, Road No. 41, 77 and Road from Paschim Puri Chowk to New Slum Quarters in Multan Nagar.
While approving the projects, PWD Minister Atishi said, “Kejriwal Government’s focus is not just on constructing roads but on crafting a robust and safe transportation network that aligns with the global standards. The approved projects in West Delhi exemplify the Delhi Government’s commitment to providing world-class road infrastructure for the citizens of Delhi. Strengthening of roads will benefit lakhs of people in these areas, decongest roads and their surroundings and inter-connectivity from main roads to colonies will improve.”
She added that these roads were constructed and upgraded long ago, due to which their condition is deteriorating day by day. PWD has got the assessment of roads thoroughly done by the experts and has been directed to start upgrading the roads.
PWD Minister also directed to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the commuters during the construction and all the standards of high-quality roads globally are followed.
With a focus on not just constructing roads but on crafting a robust and safe transportation network, these projects underscore the government’s commitment to meeting global standards and ensuring the well-being of Delhi’s citizens. “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the government is working in ‘Mission Mode’ to improve the roads of Delhi,” said PWD Minister Atishi.
These roads will undergo maintenance:
-> NH-10, service lane from Metro Pillar 109 to 273 on Rohtak Road
-> Road numbers 41, 77 and From Paschim Puri Chowk to New Slum Quarters in Multan Nagar
