The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) party worker convention was held at Delhi’s Tyagaraj Stadium on Friday. It was attended by the party’s MPs, MLAs, councilors, office bearers, and partyworkers. AAP National Convenor and Delhi’s CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal addressed the convention as the chief guest. The AAP National Convenor said that looking at the rapid progress of the Aam Aadmi Party across the country, he feels that one day, both the Congress and BJP will be left behind, and the country will be governed by the AAP. Observing AAP’s rapid growth, Modi Ji has fabricated a fake liquor scam conspiracy. Modi Ji wants to arrest the top leaders of the party to destabilize AAP.
The party chief, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, stated that even if they put him in jail, the AAP will still win. The AAP national convener challenged Modi Ji, saying he would need a reincarnation to defeat the AAP. Shri Arvind Kejriwal mentioned that these people want to arrest him. In this regard, he asked all volunteers to visit every house in Delhi, conduct ‘nukkad meetings,’ and gather the public’s opinion on whether he should resign or run the government from jail.
During the workers’ convention, Rajya Sabha MP and the party’s National General Secretary Dr. Sandeep Pathak, Delhi State Convenor and Delhi’s Cabinet Minister Shri Gopal Rai, along with MP Shri Raghav Chadha and N.D. Gupta, Cabinet Ministers Ms. Atishi, Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj, Raaj Kumar Anand, Kailash Gahlot, Imran Hussain, MLA Jarnail Singh, Jitender Tomar, Rajesh Gupta, Gulab Yadav, Dilip Pandey, Rituraj Jha, Kuldeep Kumar, Rakhi Bidlan, Durgesh Pathak, along with other senior officials and dignitaries of the party were present. These leaders also addressed the party workers.
Amidst warm regards from the AAP office bearers and volunteers, AAP’s National Convenor started his address. He mentioned, “Congratulations to all of you for being part of the world’s fastest emerging party. No other party in the world progressed with such a fast pace. I should ask the Guinness World Record Books, is there any other party which has progressed faster than the AAP, otherwise award the title to the AAP.”
The AAP National Convenor stated, “It takes a lifetime to become an MLA or councilor, shoes wear out. Within 10 years since its formation, the AAP has formed governments in Delhi and Punjab. In Delhi, a year old AAP won an astounding 67 seats, Congress got zero and the BJP was restricted to 3 seats only. In Punjab the AAP secured 95 seats out of 117 seats in assembly elections. Then in the BJP’s fort Gujarat, the AAP received 14% of the total mandate by winning 5 seats. I’m fully confident that the AAP will form the next government of Gujarat. Then came Goa where 2 MLA got elected from the AAP. Now, the AAP has been designated as a national party. We have become the third largest party in the entire country amongst 1350 parties, just after The BJP and Congress. The pace at which the AAP is expanding, my heart says after quite a while the AAP will become the largest party in the country leaving the BJP and Congress behind.
Taking potshots at the BJP, Shri Arvind Kejriwal stated that Since the AAP is growing so rapidly people will come weave conspiracy against the AAP. The BJP and Modi Ji became ascertained from succeeding assembly elections of 2014, 2015, 2020 and the MCD elections recently that they can’t defeat the AAP in Delhi. No matter what they do, they can’t win in Delhi.
Speaking on the conspiracy under the alleged ‘liquor scam’, the AAP National Convenor mentioned that the BJP knows they can’t defeat the AAP in national capital, so they have concocted the conspiracies of the alleged liquor scam. I want to ask, is liquor scam is happening in Delhi or Gujarat? It’s become part daily news that hundreds of people have died by consuming poisonous alcohol in Gujarat. The liquor scam is taking place in Gujarat, not in Delhi. Recently I read about the liquor scam of Haryana.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal further added, “Recently hearing of the alleged liquor scam took place in the Supreme Court. The judge repeatedly asked for any evidence, but the ED and CBI had not even a single evidence. The Judge reprimanded that their case of alleged liquor scam won’t even stand for 2 minutes. Under this fabricated liquor scam they’ve arrested AAP’s Shri Sanjay Singh, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Vijay Nair, and now they want to arrest me. Their motto is to topple the AAP government by putting AAP’s top leaders behind bars. By this means Narendra Modi Ji wants to form his government in Delhi. He knows that he can’t defeat in the elections. I want to tell them that even if you put Kejriwal in Jail, from there the Jail itself the AAP will win. I want to convey to Narendra Modi Ji that in this life he can’t defeat the AAP in Delhi. You have to take another life to defeat the AAP in Delhi.”
The AAP National Convenor emphasized why the people are voting the AAP. He said, that biggest reason of all of this is that people have started voting for the AAP whether in Delhi, Punjab, Gujarat, or Goa. The people vote for us for our work, the works we have done people didn’t see it in the last 75 years. We were the first in Indian Politics to talk about education, we improved the government schools. Nobody sought votes in the name of Education, healthcare, electricity, and pilgrimage for elderly. Nobody witnessed such a level of development prior to the AAP government. They cannot defeat us in the politics of developmental works. There is no other state in country, whether it’s ruled by the BJP or Congress, no body has done such a magnificent works as we did. They can’t win in politics of works, that’s why they resorted to this connivance of liquor scam. The AAP is progressing rapidly because we follow the paths of truth, honesty, patriotism, and humanity. This is our value system. It’s due to this value system that we’re able to do such good work, and this is why the AAP is advancing so swiftly.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “Today, our four leaders are in jail. Shri Manish Sisodia has been in jail for 9 months. His wife is suffering from a severe illness. Someone who transformed the country’s education system, revolutionizing education, is imprisoned. Shri Satyendar Jain spent a year in jail and is currently on medical bail. Someone who provided free healthcare and electricity to all is inside jail. Our leaders have made huge sacrifices. All these leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party are a source of inspiration for our workers. We should draw inspiration from them. Whenever our spirits weaken, keep these leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party in mind, who today, walking on Bhagat Singh’s path, are fighting for the country behind the prison walls.”
The AAP National Convener of asked the workers whether PM Narendra Modi is honest and against corruption. During a rally in Bhopal on June 27th, PM Narendra Modi said that the NCP is a very corrupt party, and its leaders are very corrupt. These people were involved in a scam of ₹70,000 crores. However, a few days later, those leaders, labeled as corrupt by Modi Ji, joined the BJP, and Modi Ji made one of those leaders the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. This is the honesty of Modi Ji. In West Bengal, he criticized Trinamool Congress leader Shubhendu Adhikari severely. Shubhendu Adhikari’s name came up in the Sharada Chit Fund scam. He joined the BJP, and all his sins were washed away. Even the CM of Assam was labeled corrupt by the BJP, and they talked about putting him in jail. However, when he joined the BJP, they made him the Chief Minister. If any of their own leaders engage in corruption, no action is taken against them. In Karnataka, the BJP government was called a 40% commission government, but not a single BJP leader in Karnataka has gone to jail. In Gujarat, scams happen daily, yet none of their leaders go to jail. Every day we hear that they have sold the entire country to Adani, but no action is taken against them. Their sole purpose, using the CBI and ED, is to break leaders of other parties and integrate them into the BJP. Modi Ji is not honest, nor is he fighting against corruption. It’s merely a fight for power. If Shri Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh join the BJP, they will be out of jail within 24 hours.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that now Modi ji feels that he’s losing the Lok Sabha elections in the country. People across the country are very distressed due to unemployment, inflation, and corruption, and it has become difficult to manage household expenses. People won’t survive on their hollow promises. Therefore, the PM has found a new way: to arrest the leaders of regional parties and put them in jail. When the leader of a regional party goes to jail, no one remains to campaign for their party, and BJP easily wins the elections. That’s why they have planned to send me to jail, so that the Aam Aadmi Party cannot campaign in the elections. Similarly, they are preparing to send West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, and Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren to jail so that BJP can easily win there too. Will Modi ji win elections like this? I challenge Modi ji that once he puts all these leaders in jail, the BJP’s will be wiped clean from the entire country.
The AAP National Convenor said that we are not afraid of going to jail. Jail is an adornment for us. For a revolutionary, jail is an adornment. I stayed in jail for about fifteen days. The arrangements there are fine. If Bhagat Singh can stay in jail for so long, Shri Manish Sisodia for 9 months, and Shri Satyendar Jain for a year, then I have no problem going to jail. It doesn’t make any difference to me. We are not greedy for power. I resigned from my position after 49 days of my own accord. No one resigns from their job as a security guard. No one asked me to resign. I might be the world’s first CM who resigned after only 49 days by choice. I will walk away from the Chief Minister’s chair with ease. I am not enticed by the Chief Minister’s chair. But we don’t want to get stuck in these people’s schemes. That’s why I’m considering whether I should resign or run the government from jail. I have discussed this matter with many people. I have discussed it with my MLAs, councilors, and all my volunteers.
The AAP National Convenor said that the people of Delhi have given us a lot of love. We will do nothing without the will of the people of Delhi. Whatever the people of Delhi say, that’s what we will do. It’s the responsibility of all our volunteers to visit each house and ask people what we should do. Hold nukkad meetings across Delhi. Even when we formed our government in Delhi for the first time with 28 seats, at that time too, we sought Congress’ support as per the people’s wishes. Even now, the party is at a crossroads. In the next 10-15 days, we have to visit each house. You need to ask the public whether Arvind Kejriwal should resign from the Chief Minister’s position or run the government from jail. Whatever the public says, we will abide by it. They said, ‘Understand this: the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections of the Aam Aadmi Party has begun today. This is our campaign. You need to go to each house, hold street corner meetings, and expose the BJP and Modi ji. Whether I stay inside jail or outside, not a single Lok Sabha seat in Delhi should go to the BJP this time.’
All the workers want that even if the BJP puts Arvind Kejriwal in jail, he should not resign – Dr. Sandeep Pathak
At the party workers’ convention, AAP National General Secretary Dr. Sandeep Pathak, and Rajya Sabha MP said that the BJP wants to eliminate Shri Arvind Kejriwal. They want Shri Arvind Kejriwal to somehow submit his resignation. Today, to answer the conspiracy of the BJP, the Aam Aadmi Party has two paths. First, we could get trapped in their conspiracy, and if they put Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail, then he should submit his resignation, which will make him victorious, and their conspiracy will succeed. Second, we should respond to their conspiracy and political manipulations in their own way. They should be trapped in their own net. The medicine they give to others should be returned to them. Today, the entire organization and all the workers want that even if the BJP does any injustice, even if they put you in jail, you should not resign. If the BJP arrests you, while it might be morally right to resign, today, we take this right from you; under any circumstances, you will not resign. Each worker who works tirelessly for the organization and the party will decide whether Shri Arvind Kejriwal should resign or not.

Dr. Sandeep Pathak further said that the BJP wants Shri Arvind Kejriwal to submit his resignation, but we won’t let Shri Arvind Kejriwal resign. We have to run the government even from jail. We’ll respond to them in their own language. They tried to stop Kejriwal in Delhi but failed. They tried to stop him in Punjab and Gujarat but failed. Now, in Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, the Aam Aadmi Party is making rapid progress. The way the Aam Aadmi Party is expanding across the country, PM Narendra Modi is finding it difficult to understand what to do. Now, they have made their final move; they have planned to put Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail and break the party. They don’t know that we know how to enter a maze and break out of it. Today, we all request Shri Arvind Kejriwal that no matter what happens, you should not resign from the position of Delhi’s Chief Minister.
BJP is afraid that if the people of the country support AAP, Shri Arvind Kejriwal will become Prime Minister one day – Gopal Rai
During this time, AAP Delhi State Convenor Gopal Rai said that this question is in everyone’s mind: Will Arvind Kejriwal be arrested by the ED? Last time, we were issued a summon by the ED. At that time, Shri Arvind Kejriwal had told the ED that take back your summons; this is inspired by politics. So far, we are waiting for a response from the ED. We haven’t received any response from them yet. At this time, the BJP is testing the pulse of Delhi and the entire country, whether Shri Arvind Kejriwal should be weakened by putting him inside or outside jail. We have many workers who began their participation in this movement from Jantar Mantar. You people supported us in the first and second assembly elections, and when the MCD elections happened, you supported us there too. They challenged the BJP, saying never underestimate the Aam Aadmi Party. We have seen many leaders so far, but we haven’t seen a leader like Shri Arvind Kejriwal, who asked for votes solely based on his work. We are proud of our leader. Now, BJP workers across the country have also started to realize that it’s wrong to be against Shri Arvind Kejriwal. The Aam Aadmi Party has governments in Delhi and Punjab and is now the third-largest national party. BJP fears that if people across the country support the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal will become Prime Minister one day.
Whether Shri Arvind Kejriwal stays in jail or outside, the Delhi government and the Aam Aadmi Party will be run by him – Shri Gopal Rai
Shri Gopal Rai further said that they have now adopted the policy of putting people in jail. More than 130 cases have been filed against our MLAs, but those people couldn’t do anything. Today, wherever the BJP is strong in the country, it’s finding it difficult to defeat them. But under the nose of the central government, there is a government of the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi that BJP is unable to defeat despite its desire to. The result of that political defeat is that Shri Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Vijay Nair are in jail. Those people are trying to put Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail as well. Whether Shri Arvind Kejriwal stays in jail or anywhere else in the country, the Delhi government and the Aam Aadmi Party will be run by Arvind Kejriwal. If the BJP tries to put Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail, we will respond to it with Haryana’s victory. Shri Arvind Kejriwal is the pride of Haryana, and now it is also standing at the threshold of change. Delhi is not just a state for the Aam Aadmi Party; it is our birthplace and workplace.
Party workers appeal to the CM: If you have to go to jail, don’t resign

PM Modi is running the central government with complete authoritarianism. The murder of democracy and misuse of the ED-CBI are happening. Leaders who speak against Modi and Adani are being sent to jail. This is worrying for the country. The workers told CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal that they are with him. If these people send you to jail, do not resign; this is also what the people of Delhi want.
CM Kejriwal assures DTC pensioners of getting pensions soon
During a workers’ convention, DTC pensioners also arrived with their demands. Before addressing the workers, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal listened to their issues. The CM said to the pensioners, “’ am like your son. I am aware of all your problems. So, I don’t need a letter. Trust me.’ CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal mentioned that retired employees of DTC used to receive pensions before our government was formed in Delhi. They were not given pensions and were troubled by these people. They used to say, ‘Create a fund, DTC will provide the pension.’ If DTC is already running at a loss, how will it provide pensions to retired employees? After our government came, we decided that the Delhi government will provide funds to DTC, and DTC will give pensions to the retired employees from that fund. Since our government took office, everyone has been receiving pensions from 2015 till now. For the past year, they have started troubling pensioners. I have spoken to the Transport and Revenue Minister regarding this. I need some time. I assure you that all pending pensions will be given, and in the future, they will be provided on time.
