To enhance opportunities for the youth of Delhi to gain 21st-century skills, the Kejriwal Government’s Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) has introduced seven new-age courses at its campuses. The new courses include a Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Robotics, and Process Automation; BBA in Operations and Business Process Management, Hospital Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship; BSc and MSc in Medical Laboratory Science. On Friday, Technical Education Minister Atishi held a comprehensive review meeting of the multifaceted activities and academic plan for the new session of DSEU for the new academic session. During the meeting, she reviewed various courses offered, partnerships, facilities, and student placements by the University.

Technical Education Minister Atishi said, “The new courses introduced by DSEU are the need of the hour, and the curriculum of these courses has been prepared as per industry demands. This strategic alignment between education and industry requirements is vital to ensure that our students are not only well-prepared for the job market but also equipped to drive innovation and economic growth in Delhi and beyond. For the rapid growth of the economy, high-quality skill education for the youth of Delhi is the focus of the Kejriwal Government.”

DSEU’s Robotics and Process Automation course focuses on designing, building, and operating robots and automation systems. Students learn through hands-on projects and develop technical skills for device fabrication. Meanwhile, a three-year Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will provide an opportunity to gain expertise in one of the most fascinating and fast-growing areas of computer science.
During the meeting, Ms. Atishi also reviewed various current partnerships of the university with industries.

She said, “Partnerships with industries play a vital role in shaping the future of students studying at the University. These collaborations not only enhance our academic programs but also provide valuable opportunities for our students and faculty to engage in real-world projects and research.” The Technical Education Minister further directed the officials to conduct regular surveys to assess industry demands and design courses accordingly so that students of DSEU get more and more opportunities for exposure and placements.

She further mentioned that through collaboration with 90+ national and international industrial partners, including companies like Mercedes Benz and Schneider, DSEU is providing excellent learning opportunities for its students while giving them industry exposure. This not only helps in developing skills aligned with industry needs but also prepares them for significant job opportunities. The University has currently collaborated with 90+ national and international industrial partners to create an innovative skilling ecosystem. These partners include Mercedes Benz, Lenskart, Schneider, Apollo, Blue Star, Daikin, etc. These partners have helped the University establish various Centers of Excellence and provide industry exposure to students.

It is to be noted that 150+ companies participated in the DSEU placement drive throughout the year 2022-23, and students were placed in companies like Nokia, Hero, Honda, IGL, Tata, and GE Healthcare, etc.
