The Aam Aadmi Party has appointed Senior Leader & MLA Shri Durgesh Pathak as the MCD in-charge once again. Shri Durgesh Pathak expressed his gratitude to the AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, for entrusting him with this responsibility. He stated that while he had experienced both success and failure, his sole objective of working for the welfare of the people had remained consistent. He assured the leadership of AAP and the people of Delhi that he would fulfil the entrusted responsibility with honour and dedication, working towards making Delhi ‘Sapno ki Dilli’ for all Delhiites.
Shri Durgesh Pathak, said, “I have been serving the people of Delhi under the leadership of AAP for many years. AAP has entrusted me with several responsibilities, and I have made every effort to work to my full capacity and dedication. I have considered each responsibility as my personal duty and fulfilled it completely. While some tasks brought me success, there were instances where I tasted the bitterness of failure. Despite all this, my sole objective of working for the welfare of the people has remained consistent.”
He added that the BJP had ruled the MCD for several terms, and they did not leave any opportunity to ruin Delhi and impoverish the MCD. In such circumstances, it became crucial for the Aam Aadmi Party to have its government in the MCD for the betterment of Delhi. He said, “It was during this time that I was assigned the responsibility of the MCD, and I fulfilled that responsibility with utmost diligence. In the meantime, the people of Rajendra Nagar showed their faith by giving me a complete majority as their MLA. Since then, I have been relentlessly working to fulfil all the promises made to them. Simultaneously, I have been working as the MCD in charge to free the people of Delhi from the misrule of the BJP.”
He further said, “Today, it is a matter of pride for me that our leader, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party and the Chief Minister of Delhi, has once again appointed me as the MCD in-charge. I am grateful to Shri Arvind Kejriwal for maintaining faith in me. Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal has been working tirelessly to make Delhi ‘Sapno ki Dilli’’ since the beginning. I am committed to fulfilling this vision with the team of AAP councillors and workers. I assure the leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party and the people of Delhi that I will continue to work towards making Delhi ‘Sapno ki Dilli’ for all Delhiites with utmost honour and dedication.”
