Higher Education Minister Ms. Atishi made an insightful visit to the Center for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE.CO) at the esteemed Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. During her visit, Minister Atishi engaged with the dynamic young leadership of CIIE.CO, which is dedicated to promoting early-age start-ups by young entrepreneurs. She interacted with enthusiastic entrepreneurs who are shaping their innovative start-up projects at the center.
Highlighting the Kejriwal Government’s commitment to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among students, Minister Atishi said, “The government is planning to introduce “Business Blasters” for students in Higher education institutions and Technical institutes. These initiatives are aimed at empowering young minds to explore their entrepreneurial potential and contribute to India’s vibrant start-up ecosystem.”
She added that the insights and learnings gained from CIIE.CO’s successful entrepreneurship initiatives will play a vital role in shaping the government’s youth entrepreneurship program. By leveraging CIIE.CO’s expertise and experience, the government aims to create a more effective and comprehensive platform for nurturing young entrepreneurial talent across the country.
Ms. Atishi expressed her admiration for CIIE.CO’s impactful approach to supporting fearless entrepreneurs who are developing disruptive solutions.
It is to be noted that CIIE.CO supports start-ups during their critical early stages, when they need the most assistance, but often have limited resources available. Through its continuum of incubation, acceleration, capital, and insights, CIIE.CO provides everything it takes to help driven entrepreneurs make a superlative impact.
CIIE.CO, located at IIM Ahmedabad, offers best-in-class incubation space for start-ups to collaborate, innovate, and grow. The centre invests in early-stage start-ups and extends support through regional and virtual incubation programs, providing invaluable guidance and mentorship throughout the entrepreneurial journey.
Ms. Atishi said, “With the Business Blasters program in Delhi government schools, we have been able to empower lakhs of children to become job providers instead of job seekers. This not only encouraged more young entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams and contribute to India’s economic growth and innovation but also gave them the confidence to face every challenge of life fearlessly.”
By harnessing the expertise and support from CIIE.CO, the Kejriwal government aims to empower aspiring entrepreneurs and equip them with the necessary resources to turn their innovative ideas into successful ventures. With initiatives like “Business Blasters” and continued investments in incubation and mentorship programs, the government seeks to cultivate a culture of entrepreneurship that not only drives economic growth but also inspires a generation of fearless individuals ready to tackle challenges and make a lasting impact on India’s startup landscape.
