The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced the appointment of Ms Priyanka Kakkar as its new National Chief Spokesperson, on Saturday. AAP leaders from across the country have poured in congratulatory wishes for Ms. Priyanka Kakkar on her acceptance of this new responsibility. As National Chief Spokesperson, she will now be seen interacting with the media on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party on national issues.
The decision to appoint Ms. Priyanka Kakkar as the National Chief Spokesperson of the party was taken during a meeting of the senior leaders on Saturday. The National General Secretary (Organization) of the party, Dr. Sandeep Pathak handed over a Certificate Of Appointment to Ms. Kakkar, and heartily congratulated her on this new role.
Ms. Priyanka Kakkar has been actively discharging her responsibilities after having joined the Aam Aadmi Party 10 years ago. She joined the party in 2013 after being inspired by the party’s National Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Seeing her hard work and dedication, the party has given her many responsibilities till now. She proved her mettle by living up to the expectations of the party. Notably, the party gave the responsibility of Telangana Observer to Ms. Priyanka Kakkar and she held the post from 2017-2019. After this, she was the legal head of the South Delhi parliamentary constituency. She also played a significant role during Shri Raghav Chadha’s Lok Sabha campaign in 2020. Ms. Priyanka Kakkar worked as an advisor to Rajya Sabha member Shri Sanjay Singh from 2021-2023. She was also the Legal Observer of Uttar Pradesh where she was also a part of the 12-member Monitoring Committee constituted for the state organisation. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Pennsylvania and has been practising law for the last 17 years.
