Influenced by the historical works being done by the Kejriwal government in various fields including schools, hospitals, electricity, water, roads, transport, WiFi, free bus travel for women, free pilgrimage for the elderly, people are continuously joining the Aam Aadmi Party. In this vein, AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, welcomed Shri V. Gopakumar, a prominent professional turned politician from Kerala, into the AAP family. Shri Gopakumar’s extensive experience in politics and the corporate world makes him a valuable asset to the party in Kerala.
A retired corporate executive and founder of the charitable organisation ‘We Care,’ he is now a well-known figure in Kerala’s political circles and served in senior positions with the Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), before resigning from BDJS and forming the Bharatheeya Jana Sena (BJS) in January 2021. Prior to that, he had garnered 26 years of remarkable professional experience in senior positions within the corporate sector, having served as the Vice President and CEO of the Kerala Circle at Reliance Communications.
Sharing the news of his joining, Shri Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “Welcome Shri V. Gopakumar to the AAP family. Your experience as a passionate politician and a remarkable professional will help the party in Kerala to grow. Best wishes.”
While, Shri V. Gopakumar said, “I believe that under the leadership of Shri Arvind Kejiriwal, only AAP can bring the much-needed change in Kerala. I dedicate myself to work for the welfare of the people in Kerala.”
