AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday expressed his deep concern about the current state of affairs in the country. Addressing the nation, the CM stated, “I am extremely tensed and worried about the direction this country is headed towards. We have become a nation whose Prime Minister punishes patriots and celebrated Education and Health reformers like Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain but embraces those who swindle lakhs of crores of public money.” To this end, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal announced that he will be praying and meditating for the betterment of the country on the day of Holi. He appealed to the people across the country to join him if they feel equally worried about the state of affairs of the country.
Addressing the nation, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that the condition of government schools across the nation is in a pitiable state and highlighted that these are the schools to which the poorest people send their children to study. He further said that it was almost after 75 years of Independence that a saintly individual came forward and worked extremely hard to change the conditions of the government schools in Delhi. This person was Shri Manish Sisodia and it was because of his untiring efforts that the children of the poor were also provided with the facilities that were earlier only given to the children of rich families in private schools.
Similarly, Shri Arvind Kejriwal pointed out that across the nation the condition of government hospitals is also in a deplorable state and these are the hospitals to which the poorest of citizens have access to across the country. He added that it was after 75 years of Independence that an individual came forward and worked hard to change the face of government hospitals in Delhi. His name was Shri Satyendar Jain. He gave the world the unique model of Mohalla Clinics and built them in neighbourhoods across Delhi to ensure that good quality free medical attention is provided to every citizen of Delhi.
The Delhi CM said that in contrast to these two patriots, there is another individual who looted the hard-earned money of the citizens of India. He went on to loot the lakhs of crores of public money in banks of and LIC. However, the Prime Minister of India has conspired to put patriots like Shri Satyendar Jain and Shri Manish Sisodia in jail over false cases, but has at the same time befriended the person who has cheated crores of citizens of their hard earned money.
The AAP National Convenor went on to say that he was worried about the direction in which this great nation was going. He also said that he is not worried about what has happened to Shri Satyendar Jain and Shri Manish Sisodia as they are incredibly brave men and can even sacrifice their lives for the betterment of the nation. He said it is a worrisome state for India if leaders and patriots like Shri Manish Sisodia and Shri Satyendra Jain working for people’s education and health are put behind jail and those who loot the people are allowed to roam around freely. In such a situation, there’s no one left to work for the common people of the country and listen to them.
The CM concluded by saying that on the auspicious occasion of Holi, he will spend the entire day praying, doing pooja and meditating for the betterment of the country. He urged other citizens to join him as well. “If you all also believe that what the Prime Minister of India is doing is not correct, and that our country is heading in the wrong direction, then I appeal you all to also take some time out after celebrating Holi and do ‘dhyaan’ and pray for the betterment of our country, along with me.”
