Health Minister Shri Raaj Kumar Anand on Saturday made a surprise visit to the Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya. During the surprise visit, the Health Minister interacted with the children undergoing treatment in different wards and OPD of the hospital. He also inquired from doctors regarding the treatment, behaviour and medicines of the children. Health Minister Shri Raaj Kumar Anand asked the hospital staff to ensure that the children coming for treatment get quality treatment. Further, the Health Minister advised the hospital officials to improve the cleanliness system in the hospital
The Health Minister took stock of the arrangements in Emergency, ICU and various wards from the patients and their relatives. He said, “Health is a priority area for the Kejriwal government. Therefore, any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in providing health facilities to the people.”
Apart from Delhi, patients from neighbouring states also visit Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya to get the health facilities. In such a situation, instructions have been given to make additional arrangements to manage the crowd, so that the children and their families do not have to face any problem.
In addition, the hospital administration has been directed to make the hospital a model children’s hospital of the country by removing the clutter of the hospital.
The Health Minister took in-depth information about children’s food and medicine from the doctors and staff of the hospital. However, no patient or attendant made any complaint.
He said that the Kejriwal government is continuously working towards providing quality health services to all the people of Delhi.
Hospitals are being revamped to make Delhi’s health infrastructure among the best in the world. Our aim is to make Delhi government hospitals one of the best in the whole country. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the treatment facility is being made more accessible in the hospitals of Delhi. Besides this, the existing hospitals are being made air-conditioned by making necessary changes.
