Ms Hasina R, the National President of the Anti Corruption and Crime Control Committee, joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today. The social worker and activist, who is associated with various NGOs, was inducted by AAP MLA Shri Dilip Pandey along with her entire team.
Ms Hasina R was influenced by CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s policies and feels that she will be able to serve the needy in a better way under the leadership of the Chief Minister. AAP MLA Shri Dilip Pandey welcomed her into the party by presenting her with a cap and patka.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Dilip Pandey said that people are constantly joining the Aam Aadmi Party after being impressed by the historic works being done by the AAP governments in various fields in Delhi and Punjab. He said that Ms Hasina R’s presence would strengthen the party.
Ms Hasina R is a well-known social worker who is associated with many NGOs. She is the National President of the Anti Corruption and Crime Control Committee and the President of Citizens for Change International (CCI) in Chennai, where she promotes women education and empowerment. She is also the founder and chairperson of the Bengaluru-based Desh Bandhu Foundation Trust, which helped the needy people by distributing food and other essential items during the Covid pandemic.
She has also served as the President of Women’s Wing in Karnataka Rakshana Vedika and stays in Karnataka Kannada Sena, where she distributes food and copy books, etc., to the students of government schools who are deprived of facilities. She also organises blood camps continuously and works to promote social service in government hospitals.
