After having already made the lives of Delhiites hell with its garbage mismanagement, the BJP continues to play with the lives of innocents each day. On Tuesday, the Aam Aadmi Party revealed how a portion of BJP’s garbage mountain at Ghazipur collapsed yet again leaving people to narrowly escape death. AAP MLA and MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak said, “BJP is trying to widen the spread of garbage at Ghazipur Landfill; a huge part of the garbage mountain fell over the homes of nearby residents. Some people were injured in a similar incident sometime back, three people had even lost their lives. The three garbage mountains of BJP-ruled MCD keep catching fire every day; the fire is not extinguished for several days, which makes it difficult for the people living around to breathe. AAP MLA and MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak said, “Yesterday at the Ghazipur landfill site, we were very close to seeing a terrible mishap. 3-4 people just about managed to save their lives at this landfill site that has been terribly mismanaged by the BJP-ruled MCD over the last 15 years. A new technique is being used by them to not let the height of the landfill increase. What they are doing here is that they are spreading the garbage in a larger area, so that the height of the pile does not increase. Yesterday while doing this, a pile of the garbage collapsed and ended up burying a few houses in a slum nearby. The people living inside this house had a very narrow shave with death.”
He said, “These landfills that have grown rapidly under the BJP-ruled MCD have started to become life-threatening at the moment. The people who live near them have been facing health issues, mostly respiratory issues, for quite some time now. It is not as if this is the first such incident. Just a simple Google search on the accidents at Delhi’s landfills reveals around 200-500 such news clippings. I have brought the clippings of just the first 10 of them and I’ll share them here with the media.”
He added, “An article says that this is the third incident of fire at Ghazipur landfill in this month. This was in April this year. Another article reports a fire at Ghazipur and says that there were no casualties. Another article states that these are “Mountains of Shame”. Another article reports “the fire at Ghazipur landfill rages late into the night”. A fifth article says “Fire at Bhalswa landfill site, water tankers reach the site”. The sixth article reports about a massive fire at a garbage pile in Jahangirpuri.”
He said, “These are not articles that are published by the Aam Aadmi Party, but those that have been published by news channels and newspapers across the country. There seems to be a dangerous incident in which the lives of our citizens are out at risk almost every fortnight at these landfills. Most of these incidents that I have stated have taken place in the last 6 months. Every time this happens, the people and the air they breathe, the houses they stay in, these are all put at risk. A couple of weeks ago in an incident a person lost their lives and three others were injured.”
He concluded, “The situation currently has really gone out of hand and with this the BJP has put all of our lives at risk. These landfills have reached their peak and therefore have started to become unstable. This is why the BJP wanted to create 16 new landfills across Delhi and these end up covering most of our constituencies. If this is allowed to happen then entire Delhi will be destroyed. Therefore the people of Delhi will take their revenge against the BJP in the upcoming MCD elections. Most of the BJP candidates will go on to lose their deposit in this election. AAP has already asked for an investigation into this entire corruption that has happened in the clearing of this landfills. So much money has been spent in the process and yet things have only become worse. We strongly oppose the creation of any new landfills and we request the Delhi Police to investigate the scam in the name of landfills that has taken place under the BJP.”

भाजपा ने पिछले 17 सालों में दिल्ली को कूड़ाघर बना दिया है| अब एमसीडी में अपनी हार निश्चित देखकर अपने 17 सालों की उपलब्धि कूड़े के पहाड़ों की ऊंचाई कम दिखाने के लिए उसे इधर-उधर फ़ैलाने का काम कर रही है| गाजीपुर स्थित कूड़े के पहाड़ कि ऊंचाई भी कम करने के लिए भी भाजपा ने आनन-फानन में कूड़े को फैलाना शुरू किया और इससे गाजीपुर मंडी की एक दीवार ढह गई| गनीमत है कि यह हादसा रात को उस वक्त हुआ जब मंडी में भीड़ कम थी और किसी को किसी भी प्रकार का नुकसान नहीं हुआ|
बुधवार को आम आदमी पार्टी के वरिष्ट नेता व दिल्ली के उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया ने घटनास्थल का दौरा किया और भाजपा की इस नाकामी का पर्दाफाश किया| इस मौके पर श्री सिसोदिया ने कहा कि भाजपा चुनाव हारने के डर से अब आनन-फानन में जो भी कर रही है वो जनता के लिए बेहद खतरनाक है| उन्होंने कहा कि भाजपा से कूड़े का पहाड़ तो कम नहीं हुआ लेकिन साजिश रचते हुए भाजपा ने अपने इस नाकामी को छिपाने के लिए आस-पास के खाली जागाह में कूड़ा फैलाना शुरू कर दिया और कूड़े के पहाड़ की ऊंचाई को कम दिखाने के चक्कर में यहाँ आस-पास के इलाके में खाली पड़े जगह में कूड़ा भर दिया|

श्री सिसोदिया ने कहा कि भाजपा की इस करतूत से मंडी की दीवार गई और इसके साथ यहाँ मौजूद प्याऊ भी इसकी चपेट में आ गया लेकिन गनीमत है कि किसी के जान-माल का कोई नुक्सान नहीं हुआ| मनीष सिसोदिया ने कहा कि जनता एमसीडी में भाजपा से त्रस्त हो चुकी है और इन्हें एमसीडी से निकाल फेंकेगी| उन्होंने कहा कि अब बस एक महीने की बात है| एमसीडी में भी आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार बनेगी और मुख्यमंत्री अरविन्द केजरीवाल जी ने पूरा प्लान बना रखा है कि कैसे दिल्ली से कूड़ों के इन पहाड़ों को ख़त्म किया जायेगा| केजरीवाल जी खुद इंजीनियर है और उनके पास ब्लू-प्रिंट है कि कैसे न सिर्फ गाजीपुर बल्कि पुरे दिल्ली में कूड़े के पहाड़ों को ख़त्म किया जायेगा, उनका निस्तारण किया जायेगा साथ ही कैसे पूरी दिल्ली को साफ-सुथरा और कूड़ा रहित बनाया जायेगा|
घटनास्थल के पास 100 बच्चों का आश्रम कूड़े के ढेर कि जद में आने से बाल-बाल बचा, बड़ा हादसा टला
स्थानीय लोगों ने बताया कि मंडी के साथ ही एक आश्रम भी है जिसमें 100 बच्चे रहते है| यह आश्रम भी कूड़े कि जद में आने से बाल-बाल बचा है| यदि आश्रम भी कूड़े की ढेर कि चपेट में आता तो यह घटना काफी भयावह हो जाती| लोगों ने बताया कि इस खाली पड़ी जगह पर मंडी वालों के विरोध करने के बावजूद यहाँ कूड़ा डाला गया है| बता दे कि गाजीपुर लैंडफिल साईट में मौका पर पाया गया कि दीवार के गिरने के बावजूद लगातार उसी के आसपास कूड़े को फ़ैलाने का काम जारी है|

श्री सिसोदिया ने कहा कि कूड़े के कारण पूरी दिल्ली का बुरा हाल है| भाजपा ने पिछले 17 सालों में दिल्ली को कूड़े का ढेर बना दिया है| और इस बार दिल्ली की जनता दिल्ली से कूड़े के साथ भाजपा का सफाया करने के लिए वोट करेगी| उन्होंने कहा कि भाजपा की नियत में ही नहीं है कि दिल्ली से कूड़े के ये पहाड़ ख़त्म हो| इसलिए भाजपा ने इसके निस्तारण के बजाय और खाली पड़ी जगहों में कूड़ा भरना शुरू कर दिया है| और दिखा रहे है कि कूड़े के पहाड़ की ऊंचाई कम हो गई लेकिन यहाँ दीवार के टूटने से इनकी इस साजिश का भी पर्दाफाश हो गया| उन्होंने कहा भाजपा को गाली-गलौज, गुंडागर्दी करने के सिवा कुछ नहीं आता यही कारण है कि भाजपा से दिल्ली का कूड़ा साफ़ नहीं हुआ| उन्होंने कहा कि भाजपा शासित एमसीडी का काम दिल्ली से कूड़ा साफ़ करना था लेकिन इन्होने कूड़ा साफ़ करने के बजाय दिल्ली में कूड़े के पहाड़ खड़े कर दिए| अब दिल्ली की जनता इसका जबाव जरुर देगी|
कूड़े का पहाड़ बना खतरा, दिन-रात डर के साथ काम करने को मजबूर मंडी के लोग
मंडी में मौजूद लोगों ने मनीष सिसोदिया को बताया कि कूड़े के पहाड़ के ढ़हने की घटना यहाँ आम बात है| पहले भी यहाँ ऐसी घटनाएँ हो चुकी है| इस कारण पूरी मंडी में लोग खौफ के साये में काम करने को मजबूर है| लोग अपनी जान हथेली में लेकर मंडी में आते है क्योंकि उन्हें डर है कि कभी भी कूड़े का पहाड़ ढह कर उनके उपर गिर सकता है और बड़ा हादसा हो सकता है|
श्री सिसोदिया ने कहा कि दिल्ली से सारे कूड़े के पहाड़ साफ़ हो सकते है लेकिन उसके लिए अपने दिमाग का कूड़ा निकाल कर इमानदारी से काम करने कि जरुरत है| भाजपा इस मामले में पूरी तरह फेल हो चुकी है| दिल्ली कि जनता भाजपा को उनके इस नाकामयाबी का जबाव देगी और इस बार भाजपा का एमसीडी से सूपड़ा साफ़ करेगी|
