CM Shri Kejriwal to make Delhi roads pothole-free; all roads to be inspected by PWD

• 50 MLAs to inspect stretch of 25 kilometers each, accompanied by PWD engineers for the inspection task
• Road repair work to start immediately after the data on roads is obtained

New Delhi: Addressing a press conference at the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday, Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal announced his government’s plan to inspect the 1260 kilometers of PWD roads and make them all pothole-free.

The Chief Minister said that the Delhi government has prepared a plan to work on a war footing. A team of one MLA and one PWD engineer will inspect the roads that come under the jurisdiction of the Delhi government, covering a stretch of 25 kilometers. The deployed team will inspect both the sides of the lanes and report bad roads or potholes. The Delhi government will start the repair work with immediate effect after receiving the reports.

“Delhi is a state which attracts many foreign tourists all around the year. The deteriorating condition of the roads tarnish the image of the city. That is why the Government of Delhi has decided that it will repair the 1260 kilometers of PWD roads after obtaining the data on the potholes. The roads will be repaired immediately,” said Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal.

Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that the photo of the potholes and badly maintained roads will have to be clicked and uploaded on the app during the survey. The locations of such roads will be detected by the application automatically. By the evening of October 5, the data on the number of potholes will be obtained. The repair work will start after the data is obtained and verified.

Inspection move to cover three major areas of improvement

The Chief Minister said, “The move will improve the functioning of the Delhi government in three areas: repairing of bad roads, repairing of potholes, and taking cognizance of the fact that some construction work of a particular department is going on. If the work of a department is in progress, we will wait till the work is completed. Other roads will be repaired immediately.”

Potholes created due to rainfall will also be fixed

“In Delhi, people are facing severe hardships due to rain in some places. These potholes will also be fixed under the inspection project,” said the Chief Minister.

• डाटा तैयार होने के तत्काल बाद सड़क के मरम्मत का काम तत्काल हो जाएगा प्रारंभ

नई दिल्ली। दिल्ली सरकार के अधिकार क्षेत्र में आने वाली PWD की 1260 किलोमीटर सड़कों को अगले कुछ दिनों में गड्ढा मुक्त किया जाएगा। इसके लिए मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने युद्ध स्तर पर काम करने का प्लान तैयार किया है। जिसके तहत 5 अक्टूबर को दिल्ली सरकार के अधिकार क्षेत्र में आने वाली सड़कों का सरकार की टीम मुआयना करेगी। इस टीम में एक विधायक के साथ पीडब्ल्यूडी के दो इंजीनियर होंगे। एक टीम के पास 25 किलोमीटर का दायरा होगा। इस दायरे में टीम सड़क के आने-जाने वाली दोनों लेन का मुआयना करेगी। जिसके बाद वह खराब सड़कों या गड्ढे के बारे में रिपोर्ट देगी। जिसके तत्काल बाद सड़क को ठीक करने का काम प्रारंभ हो जाएगा।

• दिल्ली में दूनियाभर से लोग आते हैं। यहां की सड़़के खराब होने से देश की बदनामी होती है। साथ ही छवि खराब होती है। इस कारण दिल्ली सरकार ने निर्णय लिया है कि हमारे अधिकार क्षेत्र में आने वाली 1260 किलोमीटर सड़कों को दिल्ली सरकार रिपेयर करेगी। 5 अक्टूबर तक डाटा तैयार हो जाएगा। इसके बाद सड़कों को तत्काल ठीक करा दिया जाएगा। – श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल, मुख्यमंत्री दिल्ली

एप पर डालनी होगी तस्वीर

मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने प्रेस वार्ता के दौरान बताया कि गड्ढे या खराब सड़क की फोटो सर्वे के दौरान लेकर एप पर डालनी होगी। ऐप इस प्रकार गया है की जहां विधायक द्वारा गड्ढे की फोटो ली जाएगी, वहां की लोकेशन ऐप रजिस्टर करेगा। 5 अक्टूबर के शाम तक यह डाटा तैयार हो जाएगा कि कितने गड्ढों और सड़कों को ठीक करना है। यह रिकार्ड तैयार होते ही सड़कों को ठीक करने का काम प्रारंभ हो जाएगा।

तीन प्रकार की कमियां निकालेंगे विधायक

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि तीन स्थिति में सड़कें हो सकती हैं, गड्ढा हो सकता है, खराब हो सकती है या कोई काम चल रहा है। अगर किसी विभाग का काम चल रहा है तो काम पूरा होने तक का इंतजार किया जाएगा। अन्य सड़कों को तुरंत ठीक करा दिया जाएगा।

बरसात में हुए गड्ढे भी ठीक होंगे

दिल्ली में तमाम जगहों पर बरसात के कारण गड्ढे बन गए हैं, इस कारण लोगों को भारी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। ऐसे गड्ढों को भी इस योजना के तहत ठीक किया जाएगा।
