Arvind Kejriwal, inaugurates 165 lakh litre capacity UGR and BPS

· Newly constructed UGR to augment water supply in 14 Villages and 27 Unauthorized colonies in Karala
· Commissioning of the project to benefit 5.36 lac residents of Karala in Mundka constituency

Moving ahead with its commitment of constant endeavor to develop planned water supply to meet the growing demands of Delhi, the Chief Minister & Delhi Jal Board Chairman, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, inaugurated a 165 lakh litre capacity UGR and BPS at Mundka on August 11. The inauguration was also attended by DJB Vice Chairman Mr. Dinesh Mohaniya, Mundka MLA Mr. Sukhbir Singh Dalal, CEO DJB Mr. Nikhil Kumar and other senior officials of DJB.

For rationalization of water supply in the area, a UGR and BPS of 165 lakh litre capacity has been constructed at Karala in Mundka (AC-08). The total cost of the project is Rs. 65 Crores. On commissioning of the project 5.36 lac residents of 14 Villages namely : Karala, Majri, Madanpur Dabas, Ranikhera, Rasulpur, Ladpur, Kanjhawala, Jheemar Pura, Ghevra, Nizampur, Tatesar, Sawada, Jaunti and Garhi & Rindhala and 27 Unauthorised colonies namely: Uday Vihar- Kanjhawala and Harijan Basti Village Jaunti, Upkar Vihar – Sawda Village, Jain Nagar Colony Ext. Karala, Shiv Colony Village Garhi Rindhala – Kanjhawala, Guru Yogi Raj Puram Jain & Aggarwal Colony Ranikhera, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar – Majri Karala, Anandpur Dham – Karala, Bhagya Vihar – Jain Colony Rani Khera, Guru Yogi Raj Puram – Rani Khera Ext. Rani Khera, Vardhman Enclave – Shiv Vihar – Karala, Rajiv Nagar Extn. Dhiraj Vihar – Sultan Puri, Rupali Enclave – Karala, Mahavir Vihar – Kanjhawala, Krishna Block Tirthankar Nagar Jain Colony – Karala, Sher Singh Enclave – Karala, Tirthankar Nagar Jain Colony – Karala, Bhagya Vihar Ph-2 – Nangloi, Anandpur Dham C-Block, Louis Braille Vihar – Rani Khera, Sukhveer Nagar – Karala, Meer Vihar Mubarak Pur Dabas Road – Madan Pur Dabas, Bhagya Vihar LOP Jain Colony Ph-2 -Rani Khera, Rani Khera Village, Village Madanpur Dabas Extended Abadi, Extended Abadi of Lad Pur Village and Jain Nagar Karala and JJ Colony Sawda Ghewra will be benefitted.
