AAP Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai ignited fervor during ‘Sankalp Sabha’ gatherings held in Inderpuri, Rajinder Nagar, and Paharganj, Karol Bagh, as part of the ‘Jail ka Jawab Vote se’ campaign’s second phase. Advocating for INDIA Alliance candidate Shri Somnath Bharti from the New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, attendees pledged to retaliate against the incarceration of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal on May 25th through their votes. Shri Gopal Rai emphasized the BJP’s apprehensions of electoral defeat, contrasting it with the populace’s determination to thwart such ambitions. Reflecting on promises unfulfilled since Modi’s ‘Achche Din’ pledge a decade ago, the AAP Delhi State Convenor emphasized the necessity of fighting for Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
Addressing the ‘Sankalp Sabha’ in Rajinder Nagar and Karol Bagh, AAP Delhi State Convenor and Cabinet Minister Shri Gopal Rai said that the bugle for the Lok Sabha elections has been blown in the entire country. On one side, the BJP gang is roaming around with arrogance of power and on the other side, the gang of patriots of INDIA Alliance is roaming around to save the country. BJP leaders are roaming around saying that this time we will cross 400 and on the other side the people of the country are saying that this time BJP will lose. The youth, students, farmers and women of the country are all saying that this time BJP’s defeat is certain.
The AAP Delhi State Convenor stated, “When PM Modi came to Delhi from Gujarat, he showed the dream of ‘Achche Din’ to the entire country. PM Modi said that ₹15 lakhs will come in everyone’s account, 2 crore jobs will be given every year. The people of the country gave Modi ji a chance to run the government for 10 years. Today, when the youth of the country is asking him questions after 10 years, the BJP people have no answer. The youth of the country asks when will they get employment, then BJP says this time we will cross 400. The laborers of the country are demanding minimum wages, the farmers of the country are demanding the price of their crops. So the BJP people say this time it will cross 400.”
“The Modi government has laid nails on the roads to stop the farmers from coming to the capital Delhi. Even the British never shot at the farmers to stop them from coming. In Manipur, our sisters were paraded naked, the BJP leader did wrong things with the women wrestlers of our country. When those daughters protested against it, they were dragged by their hair and thrown on the roads. Our sisters are saying that how will our honor and respect be saved, when all the corrupt people are in the BJP. The BJP has no answer to this,” he added.
Shri Gopal Rai further added that BJP leaders should visit Bihar, Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra once, from where only one voice is coming, this time BJP should lose and every child in Delhi is saying that this time BJP has to be defeated. BJP leaders had their first defeat the day they came to know that AAPand Congress will contest elections together under INDIA Alliance. For the last 10 years, AAP and Congress used to fight separately in Delhi and their votes used to get divided, due to which BJP used to win. The day the alliance happened and AAP fielded Somnath Bharti as its candidate, our first victory happened that day. The BJP did not have the courage to field its Union Minister and two-time MP Meenakshi Lekhi against Shri Somnath Bharti again. Because BJP leaders knew that if Meenakshi Lekhi is given a ticket, her security deposit will be forfeited. The day Meenakshi Lekhi ran away from the field, it was confirmed that Delhiites have turned BJP’s slogan of crossing 400 into its defeat. If BJP has the confidence to win more than 400 seats, then they should field Meenakshi Lekhi. Delhiites will show them their place by forfeiting their deposits.
“BJP leaders thought that Shti Arvind Kejriwal is popular and if he stays out, he will campaign. BJP changed all its candidates due to the same fear and put Shri Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar jail. Shri Arvind Kejriwal is not just a person, he has been elected by the vote of every single person of Delhi. Delhiites have chosen Shri Arvind Kejriwal as their CM, not once but three times, he is the heartbeat of lakhs of hearts. There is no such family in Delhi for whom Shri Arvind Kejriwal has not done some work. Shri Arvind Kejriwal worked wholeheartedly for the people of Delhi. Shri Arvind Kejriwal made electricity, water, bus travel for women and pilgrimage for the elderly free in Delhi. Built good schools and hospitals. Passed the budget to give honorarium of ₹1,000 every month to every woman of Delhi,” the AAP Delhi State Convenor affirmed.
CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal has worked the most in the entire country as the chief minister of a state, and BJP has arrested him and put him in jail. BJP thought that if Shri Arvind Kejriwal goes to jail then who will contest the elections and BJP will win the elections one-sidedly. But BJP does not know that it has put Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail, but lakhs of Kejriwal’s soldiers are ready to fight this battle outside the jail. They (BJP) are so immersed in the arrogance of power that they put the three-time Chief Minister of Delhi in jail and now they are not even allowing him to meet his wife and children. Even the British did not commit such atrocities. Shri Arvind Kejriwal is a diabetic patient, but he is not even allowed to take insulin. If BJP will play with the life of Shri Arvind Kejriwal then Delhi will not remain silent. Delhi will not tolerate the insult of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. We will definitely take revenge for this insult. If you feel that Shri Arvind Kejriwal has worked for you then today is the time to stand with Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Today the people of Delhi have to fulfill their duty.
“When we go to protest on the road, we are arrested citing Section 144, our MLAs, councilors are not allowed to leave their homes. The Modi government is bent on such dictatorship that it does not even let us raise our voice. They say that we will beat you and will not even let you cry. Even the British did not commit such atrocities. Otherwise our freedom struggle would not have happened. But if they have the arrogance of power, then Baba Saheb Ambedkar has also given us the power of vote in the Constitution, which no one can snatch. Therefore, we have to answer this jail with our vote. We have the power of ‘jhadu’. You take out the ‘jhadu’ from your houses. If you want electricity, water, school, hospital, women need to travel, elders need pilgrimage and sisters want ₹1,000 honorarium every month, then you will have to fight for Shri?Arvind Kejriwal. We will fight and win,” Shri Gopal Rai affirmed.
Shri Gopal Rai while talking to media said that since the day Modi government has put Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail, the entire Delhi is saying that it is wrong. Delhiites have made Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister by giving him a huge majority for three consecutive terms. No government has done as much work as Kejriwal has done. Shri Arvind Kejriwal is in jail without any proof. The Modi government is not satisfied with putting him in jail. Now Shri Arvind Kejriwal is being tortured in jail as well. Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s family members cannot meet him. Face to face meetings have also been stopped. Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s sugar level is high but he is not being given insulin. Entire Delhi is seeing the atrocities happening with Shri Arvind Kejriwal. BJP is advised to do politics but not do politics of so much bitterness. People of the country have given Modi ji a chance for 10 years, he should go among the people with his work. Shri Arvind Kejriwal has also worked. This time the decision will be made on the basis of work. On 25th May, people of Delhi will answer the dictatorship of the Modi government with their votes.
