दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कोरोना वायरस से जान गंवाने वाले एमसीडी के सफाई कर्मचारी राजू के परिवार से शुक्रवार को मुलाकात की और उन्हें एक करोड़ रुपये की सहायता राशि का चेक सौंपा। सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने मजनू का टीला इलाके के चंद्रावल गांव में स्थित राजू के घर जाकर उनके परिवार के सदस्यों को चेक सौंपते हुए उनकी सेवा और समर्पण को नमन किया और उनके परिवार को हरसंभव मदद करने का भी आश्वासन दिया। मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि हमें ऐसे सभी कोरोना वॉरियर्स पर गर्व है, जिन्होंने अपनी जान की बाजी लगाकर लोगों की सेवा की है।

मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने शुक्रवार को कोरोना योद्धा राजू के घर पहुंच कर उनके परिवार से मुलाकात की और उन्हें एक करोड़ रुपये की सम्मान राशि का चेक सौंपा। इस दौरान मीडिया से बातचीत करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि राजू हमारे एमसीडी में कर्मचारी थे। एमसीडी के कोरोना अस्पताल हिंदूराव में ड्यूटी कर रहे थें। ड्यूटी करने के दौरान कोरोना से संक्रमित हो गए थे और लोगों की सेवा करते-करते शहीद हो गए। मैं उनके परिवार से आज मिला और परिवार को एक करोड़ रुपये की सहायता राशि दी है। सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि हमें ऐसे सभी कोरोना वारियर्स के उपर गर्व है, जिन्होंने अपनी जान की बाजी लगाकर लोगों की सेवा की है। हम उनकी जिंदगी वापस तो नहीं ला सकते, लेकिन मैं आशा करता हूं कि इस राशि से परिवार को थोड़ी मदद जरूर मिलेगी।

उल्लेखनीय है कि मजनू का टीला इलाके में रहने वाले राजू एमसीडी में सफाई कर्मचारी थे। एमसीडी के कोरोना अस्पताल हिंदूराव में ड्यूटी के दौरान ही वह कोरोना से संक्रमित हो गए थे और इलाज के दौरान उनका निधन हो गया।

Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal on Friday met the family of sanitation worker Late Shri Raju and offered them a cheque of Rs 1 crore as financial assistance. Shri Arvind Kejriwal visited Raju’s residence in the Old Chandrawal area in Delhi, where he met Raju’s family and assured them of full support in the future. Raju was a sanitation worker in the MCD and had lost his life while he was on his Corona duty. Expressing condolences on Raju’s demise, Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal also said that he is proud of all the Corona warriors like Raju who have laid down their lives while serving the people of Delhi.

Following his visit, Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “Our MCD sanitation worker Shri Raju laid down his life while he was on his duty of serving the people. He was himself infected from Corona while he was on his Corona duty. I have come here to meet with his family and have offered them financial assistance of Rs 1 crore. We are proud of all those Corona warriors who have laid down and sacrificed their lives while protecting the people of Delhi. We cannot bring back a lost life but we will do whatever we can to support his family.”

Shri Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted, “Our Corona Warriors have served the people by putting their lives on risk. One of them was our sanitation staff, Raju Ji. Today, he went home and met the family and gave financial assistance of Rs. 1 crore. I hope that this will help his family.”

Late Shri Raju was a sanitation worker at North MCD’s Hindu Rao Hospital and had been appointed on his duty to ensure cleanliness and sanitation for Corona patients in Delhi. He and his family resided in the Old Chandrawal area in Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi.
