सोमवार को एक प्रेस वार्ता को संबोधित करते हुए कैबिनेट मंत्री, दिल्ली सरकार, सत्येंद्र जैन ने कहा कि कई अखबारों में छपी खबरो के माध्यम से पता चला है, कि लाजपत नगर के अमर कॉलोनी क्षेत्र में मोनिटरिंग कमिटी द्वारा सीलिंग की जा रही है।

उन्होंने कहा कि मीडिया के माध्यम से में जनता को बताना चाहता हूं, कि दिल्ली में स्पेशियल प्रोविजन एक्ट लागू है। जिसके अनुसार जो इमारतें 2009 से पहले बनकर तैयार हो चुकीं है, वह सभी इमारतें इस एक्ट के अधीन आती हैं और 2020 तक इन इमारतों में किसी भी प्रकार की सीलिंग नही की जा सकती।

अगर मोनिटरिंग कमिटी कहीं भी कोई कार्यवाही करना चाहती है, तो इसके पहले कमिटी को सुप्रीम कोर्ट से इजाज़त लेनी पड़ेगी। मोनिटरिंग कमिटी किसी भी प्रकार से स्पेशियल प्रोविजन एक्ट का उलंघन नही कर सकती है।अमर कॉलोनी के अंदर किसी भी प्रकार का डेमोलिशन या सीलिंग नही होनी चाहिए। यहां पर लगभग सभी इमारतें 2009 से पहले की बनी हुई हैं। न केवल अमर कालोनी बल्कि पूरी दिल्ली में कहीं भी बिना इजाज़त सीलिंग नही की जा सकती।

अंत में सतेंद्र जैन ने कहा कि संसद द्वारा बनाए गए प्रावधान के अनुसार पूरी दिल्ली में किसी भी प्रकार की सीलिंग पर तुरंत रोक लगनी चाहिए।

Reacting to newspaper reports about sealing being done in Amar Colony, Delhi government Cabinet Minister and senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party Satyendra Jain held a press briefing today at the national headquarters of the party today.

Satyendra Jain said, “Some newspapers are reporting that sealing is being done in Amar Colony on the direction of the Monitoring Committee. This cannot be done as the Special Provisions Act is applicable in Delhi. As per the Act, any building built before 2009 cannot be acted against till 2020. If the Monitoring Committe wants to undertake any demolition or take any action, it must take permission from the Supreme Court before doing so. Sealing cannot be carried out in Amar Colony because all buildings in Amar Colony are pre-2009 and have protection under law. Not just in Amar Colony, but all parts of Delhi are covered under this. If sealing is carried on despite this, it will be in gross violation of the Special Provisions Act and an Act of Parliament will have no meaning left,” said Satyendra Jain.

“The sealing must be stopped immediately,” said Jain in his concluding remarks.
